It's sleeting here - and I have to go to the grocery store to get things for our family dinner tonight - eek. (My mom just came by and brought desert....yum pies! ) Anybody have any secrets on how to cut up a butternut squash? (I am making a recipe based on a dish from Tuscan Grille - I did it last week - but man, cutting up that squash was awful!)

Cutting up butternut squash is next to impossible! I suggest that you have someone else cut them up! It's your birthday, you shouldn't be cooking!

Thank you. It wasn't all that hard to do time wise except for having to wait for the beads I had to order to come in. My hand sure was sore after finishing it from the pliers though

Va ~ my stepmom pokes holes in the skin of butternut squash with a fork then microwaves it till it is soft enough to cut up.

Last night the weather said we would be getting a few inches of sleet.... well now it looks like it may be snow. So we are just chilling waiting to see what we get.

And I am with you PD....I want the snow!!!!! We haven't had any snow this year. Well that we could go sledding....that ice storm last week doesn't count!

We got a pretty good ice storm last night. Although that didn't stop my dh and ds9 from going skiing today. Its raining there and they are having a blast. They didn't get to go last year so anthony is kicking butt today...
