Good thing there weren't any pictures of naked rugby players.:earseek:

OH MY! We ended up sleeping until 12:10 or so. After lunch I took him to the pharmacy to get his meds, then WM to pick up new sneakers, ice cream, and the Star Wars 2 lego game he has been saving up for. As a treat for everything he dealt with last night & will for the next few days I told him he didn't have to pay me back for it...but can't say anything to DD about that. Made it home in time to pick up DD at the bus stop. She has been right next to him ever since. She wanted to hear all about it. They are now watching his EB movie...Happy Feet. It looks cute so far. Unfortunantly, I am having a hard time keeping my eyes open. Last night was mentally exhausting. When I close my eyes I just see DS screaming when they were sticking his hand with the needle to numb it. :guilty: All of my plans for today are shot. Oh well, I am just greatful that he didn't break anything. It could have been a lot worse...even though he probably wouldn't agree with that. He is looking forward to showing everyone his cast tomorrow. Hopefully I will be able to handle changing the dressings tonight. It wont be pretty.

Drinking improves brain capacity.

A herd of buffalo can move only as fast as the slowest buffalo. When the herd is hunted, it is the slowest and weakest ones at the back that are killed first. This natural selection is good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and health of the whole group keeps improving by the regular culling of the weakest members.

In much the same way, the human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells. Excessive intake of alcohol, we all know, kills brain cells, but naturally it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way, regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine.

:hippie:

 That's the best misuse of scientific reasoning I've seen in a whle! :thumbsup2

When he gets back to school he's going to be the BMOC! He'll be taking off the dressings just to impress/gross out (same thing you know ;)) all his friends! He'll regale them with his ER stories about them slicing open his hand to get the stuff out etc (leaving out, of course, the part about kicking & screaming) :)

You're just getting started! There will probably be many more little mishaps to come. Sad thing is, we (Moms & Dads) never get used to it and it's miserably hard every time.

There now, doesn't that make you feel better??

I'll shut up now.

Be sure to tell him that it isn't cool to rub it in to DSis that he got to sleep in, he missed school AND he got McD's milkshake for all his troubles!

Oh yes! He knows that & has been told that he can't say anything about us buying him the game & not making him pay for it. Of course, I am ready to tell her that if she wants to have a stick go into her hand, spend hours waiting to be seen, then have a needle jammed in & out of her hand several times followed by having a small knife used to cut open her hand to remove the stick and other splinters, then have other instruments poked around in the hole in her hand....she could get a game too. ;)

Funny, I don't recall seeing you working in my building! :rotfl: But wait...the people trying to tell you how to do your job aren't 2000 miles away are they? Yeah love that distributed command structure--especially when the time difference bites them in the butt! popcorn::

Actually, I'm in NJ they're in ATL. I've been doing this same job for 15+ years. Most of them are brand new MBAs with no idea on FDA regulations.

I don't look good in prison orange, hence the reason why I don't listen to them.

Lisa I don't know of anything more stressful and agonizing than seeing your child in pain. What an ordeal for you! I'm sure you will do a fine job of changing the dressings on his hand. It's amazing what we parents are able to muster up the strength to do for our babies! Sounds like you need a little TLC too. Hope you can rest up a little for the rest of the day. Take care!

Which thankfully has made it quieter around here as all of my UK colleagues are off work and leaving me alone. Many of them have taken a good portion of this week off, so maybe I can get all of the work done for them that I promised to have done last week. :guilty:

:hippie: (smilies changing again).

Glad we help somehow.

Probably not a good idea to tempt her like that unless you want to spend another night in ER

Well, I finally got EVERYTHING done I needed to do today, now it's time for a Power Nap before taking "ST" to work at 6pm.............

We have a lot in a row.

Good Friday
Easter Monday.
Mayday first Monday in May.
Witsun, last Monday in May.

And if you work for the Government like me you are entitled to half day on Maundy Thursday (Thursday before Good Friday)

I couldn't offer that option to my boys. They'd take me up on it.

I don't look good in prison orange, hence the reason why I don't listen to them.

Not to mention - prison orange is not an officially approved TOAL t-**** color.

Hey Lisa, glad your son is feeling better. Sometimes video game therapy works better than pain killers ;)

Welcome home to all you lucky folks that got to go to WDW last week. Loved your story MR....."Devil's Juice" - OMG :rotfl: :rotfl: . Sometimes people can be just a little scary.

Aren't our T-****'s colors Black and white. Don't some prisons still use the black and white striped uniforms. Maybe that could work if you could get a pass for the cruise. Would at least be the right colors!!! :lmao:

Really don't want anyone doing anything that well get them sent up the river. Hope everyone recovers from their injuries. Hope every finds their answers to whatever is in question or bothersome to them. Happy birthday to all that have aged yet one more year.

If I missed you I am sorry. This thread goes so fast it has been imposible for me to keep up. But I can tell that this cruise is going to be the best yet and that this is a fun loving group of folk. Can't wait. Lois

I guess I am lucky. As long as I get the cover sheet right on my TPS reports, they leave me alone for the most part as to the content of my work.

:hippie:

 :thumbsup2
Alas I have to produce 3 versions of my TS reports that pretty much say the same thing but in a different way because it would be tooooo cumbersome for some folks to actually use a brain cell or three! :headache:
