Sorry for the long abscence, working alot as we are short a few people (maternity leave) as well as many personal events.

Youngest DD made her first communion 2 weeks ago and this Saturday we have a formal party for her.

Andy! I'm so sorry Johnna told me that you won't be able to make the cruise. It's so sad. We here in NY were so looking forward to having a good time with you and your family. I'm still looking forward to putting together a small meet this August.

On that note: I need to get a list of DISers that would be interested in participating in a mini-meet this August. We will be staying at the Wilderness Lodge Villas and are very much looking forward to hosting another get together. Us and Jack will be there from the 19-30 of August.

I know Arlene has been keeping track of Vactioners that will be in the area at that time.

I miss all of you. Will try to post regularly. I even heard that BIP is BACK!

Just stopped in for a drive by posting only to find out that the Verandah Fam will not be sailing with us. As everyone else, this does make me sad. But as I thought about it more and considered your reasons, I realized that the reasons you are canceling is exactly why we all admire you so much. You are such a caring family man that it makes perfect sense that you would need to be with your family at that time. Absolutely, you must continue to post with us. Our thread wouldn't be the same without you.




As for me, I'm adjusting to a new job, new man, and an ill family member. Lots of different emotions going on right now. Once things settle down, I'll be back more often.

I did not really like the first two Spiderman movies and I am real comic book geek. I even have a few very early Spiderman comics in my collection. So, I probably will not go see Spiderman 3.

I am really wanting to see the next Fantastic Four with the Silver Surfer!

Mr Gibbs , dont bother with Spiderman ...was a real let down compared to 1 and 2 ....save your gold for me Movie ...LOL

Will anyone be around September 3, Labor Day????? We are flying in on Monday and staying through the following Monday. We had hoped to avoid the crowds in August. Now with free dining ( I do like eating free) the parks will be crowded. Maybe Todd you will still be around. Andy maybe you need to stay at least over Labor Day weekend.

Why THANK YOU MR! You don't know how much I need that! I have been so stressed lately that I haven't felt like doing anything or dressing up. However, Saturday I just had enough and decided to go all out. And surprising for me - I even got to do my own hair. I thought it turned out like poop but I was ok with the results after. Just takes practice - as my kids can vouch - I am not a frilly type of person. I can't do hair and can barely do make-up - so your comments mean a lot to me.

Anyway, if I practice I can almost be an expert by the time TOAL comes along! LOL Thanks again MR! Did I tell you how much I like you!

Two more weeks till the Dr's appt. I feel like a trapped animal. A rotator cuff is not a pleasant thing. For those of you who don't know I was in a bad accident 4/30/03 a semi crushed me against a concrete medial barrier on Long Island. I've been battling an array of problem. Also had the right shoulder operated on and they wanted to fuse my neck but I didn't let them touch that. Very limited in what I can do as I can't raise my arms above my shoulders. But as my wife says "your alive".

Afternoon Folks.

I took Hazel and Angelina out for brunch this morning at Old Country Buffet before taking Angelina to work. While we were eating we had a family meeting discussing quite a few topics. I also wanted to get Angelina's and Hazel's true feelings about the TOAL. Angelina then said, "Funny, you should bring that topic up dad, because I wanted to talk about that." We talked for quite a while, then put the TOAL up for a vote. I'm sad to say that the TOAL vote was 3-0 in favor to cancel. Yes, even me, who wanted to do this more than Hazel and Angelina combined, voted it down. I don't know what else to say, but that I am sorry we won't have the chance to sail with you, on TOAL.

I am very sadden by this turn of events. After all of these years on the DISBoard I was going to finally meet "The Veranda Man".

As a family we do what we have to do and I can appreciate that.

I can only speak for myself but you all will always be a part of this TOAL.

Hi Peter, This is the list so far for Aug. 6-17 Allshookup (Diane), 19-28 Esteri, 20-Sept 3 Daipp and J&Cgrandmom said she can drive up. I'm free on Sat, hopefully Liz can make it and Judy.

Just back from the 4/28 Eastern. Had a little rain and mildly choppy seas this trip --

Since we were at Disneyland last August we though we would pass on staying there before this one. Has anyone ever stayed at the Port. Do you have any recommendations? I was hoping to rent a car at LAX for the day and drive to the port and stay there but I seem to remember that someone mentioned that it wasn't convenient to return rentals in the Port area . Since I lived in Manhattan Beach way back in the olden days (the late 60's) I though it would be nice to drive down and see how things have changed. I hope you can give me some advice.

I was sorry to read that Verandah Man is not going to be joining us. I was looking forward to meeting him. We moved to Floriday three years ago from Gloucester County, NJ. Both our girls graduated from Rowan University there. In fact our youngest would like to join the faculty there when she finishes graduate school.

Before I get any further into the planning, I better start the laundry.

P.S. I was reading about a meeting in WDW in August. My DH is off on 8/25 and we'd love to meet everyone. We just stayed at Wilderness Lodge Villas before this last crusie and it was beautiful. Let us know what date you select and if he isn't off maybe he can switch.

I've read some reports that the Port isn't the greatest place to stay.I kept a site someone posted about the port hope it helps.

Speaking of traveling....the airline found DW's suitcase!!!

It seems the bag arrived shortly after she did ON ANOTHER AIRLINE!!!!! But since they didn't do the worldwide tracer until 3-4 days AFTER she arrived, they didn't find it until Sunday.

She departs Tuesday!

What's worse is that she had to spend some $300 or so to replace the clothes, toiletries etc because her bag was missing. Well now they are trying to say that they won't pay on that claim because they found her bag!

I do think the PHL baggage folks are about to have a

on their hands!

Her experience reminded me of a trip my cousin made back to the states (brooklyn) after she moved to London. She was traveling with the twins at the time and they were about 4-5 and when she made her 3rd trip back to JFK to try to find her bags they started giving her a hard time. Well Tillie(yes that is her name) started crying out of frustration and one of the boys inhis cute British accent started yelling at the agent " Stop yelling , you're making my Mummy cry, you're a bad man!!" She quickly got her $ for the bags.

Have you tried a McDs in the south? GRITS are on their menu. Born and raised as a yankee, I was in serious shock on my first trip "south of the border".

Andy, I couldn't get on either, gave up close to 12. A friend of mine at work has Lupus and is in really bad pain in her knees for the last few months. She is going to start shots, but I don't think it is Synvisc. I told her about the cream but don't think she is going to get it. By the way, I have been in all the drug chains here and I've been looking for it and haven't seen it on the shelves.Next time I am in Sams I will look as CVS doesn't seem to have it.

DD's class is on a field trip today to the Yankee Air Museum.

Andrew, dd and I go to McD's on the weekend. At one local McD's there is an older lady who works clearing tables. We have been going there since dd was 2. So when she sees us she always comes over and talks with us. We went this past Saturday with our neighbors and she came over. We were going to Home Depot for the Kids Workshop, so we went out to breakfast.
