Cmon!
I missed that!
I want to see!
Anyone catch this on the DCL site? Is anyone watching this storm?
Tropical Weather Update
As of 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 30, 2007:
Guests sailing November 1st who have questions regarding their voyage and the effects of Tropical Storm Noel should be aware that the safety of our guests and crew is always our first priority at Disney Cruise Line® and we continually monitor a storm's progress through the National Weather Service.
Based upon the current projections of the storm's path, we do not anticipate a need to alter our departure from Port Canaveral, FL.
Should weather conditions change, our Captain can alter the ship's course or itinerary for the safety and well being of our guests.
If we were sailing this week, I don't think we'd get to CC. From what I've seen the storm should pass over CC on Thursday. That means they will have to evacuate the CM's by Wednesday and they probably won't go back until sometime Fri or Sat. Not to mention what damage may occur.
Wonder where the Wonder will end up going on Thursday (or right now for that matter). Don't think the 3 night this Thursday will be going to Nassau or CC. My guess would be Key West and a day at sea - bummer.
News just came on 5.6 quake near San Jose, CA which in the Bay Area, about an hour and half away. No other details so far. The news is now just talking to everyone with the same story, it rolled. For those of you who haven't had the pleasure of feeling a quake, it doesn't necessarily alway shake, the ones that I have felt feels like you have waves going under you feet. Haven't felt something like that since the SF one in 89.
Steve you must have been concentrating hard on those decorations. You probably know by now that the epicenter was in Alum Rock near San Jose. It was the talk of the day today, and a teacher that lives in Modesto said his house rocked more than mine.Becky, it's funny... I didn't even know that it had happened. I was out working on my Halloween decorations and later that night my in-laws told me about it. Crazy huh? At 5.5 where you live you'd think I'da felt a bit of it!
Thank goodness it wasn't worse! Are tremors a common occurence where you are at? We had a tremor here in Ohio in the early 80's that we felt but it was nothing major at all. I was in Guatemala 4 years ago and they had a "decent" tremor. You're right about the rolling. That was a really freaky feeling. The guy I was working with grabbed onto the edges of his desk and started shouting something in spanish. After the fact it was comical, but not at the time.
i know robin is ready to see everyones. (however there will be no posting of any pics from rockn bar d scavenger hunt) what happened on the magic, stays on the magic.
Whoa, a little hung over on those smoothies there Mike, but where oh where is that sexy scar, hmmmm.
Mike & I stayed at the Raddison near port.
We got up at 4:45 AM on Saturday to watch the Magic come in to port.
The pic is a little blurry, but great.
Bob said he'd go if they go to Alaska, but August could be tough for us.
Prime time vacations at work and since we both work for the same place it's tough to get the same week off.
That's why we booked in October, we knew not many people were off then.
If no Alaska, then we're not going again in 2009. Bob wants to travel lots of other places too. Me too, Europe, Africa, India, Asia.
I want to go everywhere!
But need the $$$.
we will be at wdw in feb 08 and are thinking of going christmas 08 also.
im thinking mini meet.
robin gets more vacation time next year so we can plan more.
we were really lucky that she got the time off to go on this cruise.
