DD got her passport when she was 4 months!! It's the CUTEST picture ever! (Although it was difficult to take...DH had to hold her up and his hands couldn't be in the picture!)

Although the passport procedure is annoying and expensive...it's so much easier for travel. If you live near a passport facility (Washington, DC, etc) you don't have to expedite...you can GO to the facility and wait in line (exactly what you pay the expediter for!)

My DD was born in Germany, so her first passport picture was taken when she was 2 weeks old! If you ask, they'll return the old passport when you renew. One of the stamps we got was from the tiny island of Kirabati in the South Pacific. We stopped there on an NCL Hawaii cruise - since they need to go to a non-US port.

I agree 100%, as a future teacher we were taught how to teach your student how to pass a test. When answering the questions on the TExES test I could not answer the correct answer I had to answer what they want you to say.

Alas, this is why we are homeschooling DS7. Like Stefanie, we live in TX too. He is currently in Second Grade. They start the TAKS test in Third Grade. He won't have any part of that!

I think I can answer a couple of post all in one here. First, the Make a Wish wish was for my 15 year old daughter who has some medical issues.

I should have 2 more hanging in my FL closet.. I would like to keep 1 but DH won't need the other one so I should have 1 more left up for grabs.. I think Wendy might need one..

Thanks for thinking of me Stacy, that's so sweet! We didn't get lanyards on our 2nd cruise in 2006 - not sure if they were passing them out. But we did last June in the Med. One of the reasons it bothers me that they aren't passing them out anymore is all the kids in the terminal who were asking their parents why they didn't get the lanyards. (About 75% of the folks on the cruise were CC members.) Of course their parents told them they'd get them on the next cruise. You know kids, they will be so excited about something specific, and when they don't get it they are very disappointed.

Every year the teachers would have a door decorating contest and all of the teachers would vote on their top 3 favorites and was wanting to do this on the ship if we have any takers, I will pick up 3 nice little prizes for the winners. I will make make slips with everyone's (participants) room number and you can mark your 1st, 2nd, 3rd choice and drop those off into my stocking by wednesday night and will tally the votes that night and give the "trophies" out on thursday morning. So what does everyone think, if you would like to vote but not enter let me know.

Just thought I would let everyone know about something exciting here: Tina works for a staffing company here in town that works to find people jobs. They start out as temp jobs, but sometimes if the person works out, it turns out to be full time. Well, unfortunately she's been unhappy with her job for several months and today she was offered a position at a new bank here in town!! NOW I'M MARRIED TO A SUGAR MOMMA BANKER!!!!

Way to go Tina, yay!!

I usually have my speakers on mute but I had it turnded up really loud and I almost had an accident when my computer went all crazy on me ...

Just watching crazy stuff on youtube....

But I need to be sleeping not on the computer or I should be packing, figuring out how to use my phone.... , reading my passporter but what I am doing.... on this stinking computer... at least I wasn't DIS'ing right.... Stacy is going to get you tomorrow.....
