Who All is Going to the Fort Memorial Day Weekend?

Since I had to cancel my ressies (and yes, there were tears) because of my broken bones in February, DH and I had the "stupid" notion to meet up with DIS'ers on Memorial Day weekend. I am on the calling rampage to get a cancellation. Who can we meet that weekend? I guess we can call it the pre-party party for the gathering in July.

Me and TheBigGuy, and the BADog will be there over Memorial Day too....we'll be breaking out our new golf cart for the fort the first time.... whooo hoooo! I already have decorations for it, and TBG's wincing already. Spoilsport!

Anyway, Jen told me how to get the grand gathering number and I figured being that she doesn't have ressies, I'd be the ringleader to kick this off.

Ok...Im connected to the Musket Mickey Lives group....now I say group but that means Me and Pete are the only people on it, and the CM said Pete did an "auto-cancel" as I was on the phone with her!!!! So right now, Im the only GRAND for this Grand Gathering.....whats up with THAT???? Pete, did you MEAN to cancel? Was that a mistake?

Can the rest of the folks going GET CONNECTED!!!! I have a morbid phobia of being alone!!!! Especially as a name on someones computer in someones office....it feels like high school all over again!!!

John...you SHOULD come....you could make the extra money to finance it by selling the lamp posts....theres a big enough demand for them. Get rid of the instructions page on the site and put a "Click here to purchase your own Mickey Light post" link. And set up a few EBAY listings.

Those and the stickers, I just called the sign guy to get more LOL, but uncle mickey frowns on selling stuff. I am just making them for a few "friends".

Well...theirs copyright laws when it comes to the stickers...so, keep that under your hat..... but there aint a law that says ya cant attatch 3 globes and stick a lightbulb into them and make all the money ya want....as long as ya dont use the names.....i.e.....list on ebay like this "Camping lamp, these lamps are NOT associated with Disney or Mickey Mouse" that way they would still show up in the searches for disney and mickey and your covering your butt legally. ummm, but remember, I aint no lawyer...so that might be completely incorrect info!!!!

What about your deposit? How can they just cancel you without contacting you?? Are their no sites available to reserve now? I'd call and demand to speak with a Supervisor or someone in charge and be a real handfull for them, lay the guilt on nice and thick......hey, if you cant get the ressie back, at least have some fun insulting their competence!!! I know you aint the tenting type...but Im sure we'll have room for another tent on our site if ya cant make something happen!!!!

What Uncle Mickey doesn't Know won't hurt him ...we won't tell. I'd love to have one of those lights..Hubby just doesn't have the time..I'm afraid I'll have to steal one off someone's site...Hmmm.....let me check that light thread out again, and see who's got one..and if anyone's visiting the fort this August...

We have our reservations for May 18-24. We're driving in from Texas. My husband (Glenn), me, and our 5YO twins (Jack and Claire). I've requested loop 1500. We are so excited!
