Despite the rain, not a hard rain but a light misty rain that comes and goes, HS and Epcot were not busy at all. I was pretty hungry since I just had fruit and juice for breakfast so I wanted to get my favorite, the falafel wrap from Tangierine Cafe. I discoved this amazing wonderful yummy item a few trips back and I just have to have it when I am here. It is a ground chick pea and herb paste that is lightly fried, served with red onion, lettuce and cucumber yogurt dressing wrapped in a flatbread or pita like bread.
There wasnt a line so I was able to chow down quickly! DH decided that he wants to share with me (what is this share that you speak of??) and told me to get the olive salad for him and I got the couscous for me....another wonderful treat that I discovered in WDW.
The wrap was nice and hot, chock full of wonderful falafel. I dont do the olive salad, too much sodium, but DH loves it and the couscous was awesome.
Then it was more F&W time, still trying new items and repeating some favorites.
DH has been driving me nuts about Sake....he wants to try it so bad, his boss is a huge fan of the stuff so when I was walking by Japan F&W booth they did not have it but told me the Kakigori stand did. DH ordered a hot sake (you can get it cold too) and we shared a melon/strawberry kakigori.
The sake stinks, I mean it does have a weird smell to it, DH liked it and said it warmed him all over, sounds good to me! The kakigori was nice and refreshing.
DH is a cheese head so we went back to Cork Ireland for more cheese, we pitched the chutney, that stuff is like potpourri and the bread was so dry it fell apart if you touched it...the butter was a frozen rock....how do you spread hard butter on crumbly bread???
In Australia we tried the Pepperberry Prawns with sweet potato hash. The shrimp were very good, had a nice spice on them and there were 2, one for each of us. The sweet potato hash was gross, way too sweet to eat and I love sweet potatoes.
In India we tried the samosa with tamarind sauce. GROSS! Man this was really really bad. The sauce had a freaky weird flavor and the samosa itself was hard and dry.
Norway called us over, it said that we have not tried the new schoolbread yet and it was time since our trip is just about over. So we obeyed....the schoolbread was much smaller than it usually is and the taste is EXACTLY the same. The coconut is not toasted, it looks like it is because of the caramel but it is still fresh coconut. It was light and very good.
Over to Poland for that raspberry vodka cocktail. I know Brenda (olboyshoi) said to stay away, that is was too sweet but I loved it! Dh not so much but that was ok because I drained the glass pretty quick on him!
And the final snack for today was Greece, spanakopita and Greek salad, just as yummy as the day before!
So right now we are chilling out and resting, it is still drizzly out. We have a 7pm dinner ressie at Cape May (hoping to meet AngVT and her son). I know we will not be cancelling this ressie because DH is a littleneck clam fanatic and he has been looking forward to thing one!
