E - I was going to have to drive up there and show you my angry eyes if you went running in subzero temps... that is just not safe... thank you for not making me do that...
OK - since you and Nancy are already excited about my questions I'll ask now instead of waiting, but please don't go crazy responding until after the holidays... I don't want to take time away from your families and all...
So, I have been thinking that I need to set a fitness goal for myself as well as an overall weight goal since you really need one to get to the other. You all have been talking about training for a race and since I can't run, I have been trying to figure out something that would work for me and my body yet still give me that goal to reach for. When I do go to the gym, I do actually like spending time on the bikes so I thought what kind of events do they have for biking. Looking at our area calendar there is an MS Bike for a Cure event in July that has 10, 30, 62 and 100 mile course. Now, since I am not a cyclist yet, I have my doubts about the 100 mile course, but with some training, I'm sure I could handle the 30 and maybe even the 62. So my question is this... what kind of training schedule should I put myself on? There is no couch to 5k type program on the web for this that I could find so I thought I would check with my resident experts. I want to start on the stationary bike in the gym and then if I like this, buy a bike in the spring and take it to the streets. Any help and guidance would be appreciated...
and yes, I need a flashlight since it is getting dark in here...
OK - woke up 15 minutes before I was supposted to be at work and I live 40 minutes away... need to catch up on work now...
