DVC 6th year Christmas Tree, Sharing a Little DVC Holiday Magic

OK, thanks Kathy! Yes, it is the perfect tree!!!!! We didn't decorate it actually, only the little glass balls and bows. Left the nautical ornaments off and the girls made African ornaments here and we added those!

We have our tree...well we got it a couple days ago! Love it! Love that the box is so small and lightweight. The one we had two years ago was very heavy and large.

Window clings are up on the window, so cute...though they are torn up a bit, but once up they look fine.

Thanks SO much for the card...so personalized, love that, and little gift.

There are only two $5 bills in the shipping thing. How much are we supposed to put in there? Will $20 ship it back? Due to size and weight, I would guess so. Again, two years ago there was like $100 in there for that tree!!!!

I would think that it would have cost a minimum of $20 each way. I ship quite a bit of stuff and shippings cost have really gone up in the last year. I only bring this up because I would hate to see the families that donated trees end up paying the majority of the shipping costs.
For my own tree, I don't mind but I would hate to see people afraid to donate because families aren't donating enough towards the shipping. JMO
It's a wonderful, magical sharing of the Christmas spirit and, personally, we loved having a tree in our room.

YAY!!! DVCmommy, just seal up the box, don't forget to cut your strips of tape ahead of time and place the label on the outside over the existing shipping label....lol! Then just drop box off at front desk....they will make sure UPS gets it. Have a wonderful Christmas Eve and Christmas!!

UPDATE!!!!!

Tree #3 was found just a few minutes ago. Bell Services misplaced it, but we now have it and it is absolutely beautiful! SamSam thank you for the lovely gift and we are thrilled with how well decorated the tree is. I can't thank you enough and we will truly enjoy it. Have a very Merry Christmas everyone!!!

We are packing to leave in the morning and am looking forward to picking up BCV tree #2 from Memorymaker 2669 We will be putting those nautical ornaments back on and looking forward to a great trip at the BCV's. We won't be in until around 430 Memorymaker. Sorry I have been off the boards for awhile but I thought our trip was going to be cancelled. Hoorah we are coming home !

BCV Tree #2 was dropped off at 9am this morning. Sorry I missed dropping it off in person Boardwalk Tigger.

I did take the two $5 bills out and put a $20 in there. Also, one of the little glass balls was missing. I never opened the ornaments...like I said, but they were wrapped up tight.

I forgot to add the window clings, but was able to slip them in the top either way.

We're on our way tomorrow - spending a night at Port Orleans Riverside before heading home to BWV! Can't wait to get our tree all set up - I'm sad to leave ours here at home, but THRILLED to be visiting "ours" at our other home too!!!

BWV #2 tree is all packed up for RobMags and his princesses.
We might be short of packing tape but FrontDesk said you can use theirs to pack up and ship.

I'm so glad you enjoyed the tree. My son accidentally broke one of the balls when he was trying to get it out of the package, so it has been missing from the start. Hope you had a great trip and Merry Christmas!

Hi,

We are the last family for AKV #4 and I am worried about one thing...
We were originally supposed to stay at AKV, but changed our ressie
to Fort Wilderness Cabins (that darn 4/3 promo got me!)

I have PM'ed Joech who is before me and asked them to add my DH's
cell phone # by our name. We intend to drive over and pick up the tree
and then mail it back.

Should I be worried that this is going to not work? I would be mortified
if I could not ship this tree back to the owner....

Could you guys give me your opinion if there is anything I can do to make
sure that the pick-up goes smoothly?

Also, could someone tell me if there are instructions as to how to return
the tree and who to return it to?

Sorry for one million questions and thanks for the advice!!!!

Poor OKW#3 tree has had a rough WDW visit. Since we thought it was lost for good, I pm'd the last add-on family and told them it was missing. They left before my post that the tree had been found......and that they could pick it up. So today I talked to the front desk at OKW and they found the box, talked to Bell Services who will open it up and attach the return label for me and drop it off at the store for pick up. So hopefully it will make it's way back to me in a week.

Hope SSR#2 tree is also on it's way home?

I had no problem picking up the AKL TRee #1 and taking it to the polynesian.
On dec. 26th we moved to the BWV and on Dec. 27th while i was waiting for my case water from bell serive i noticed 2 BWV trees sitting just inside the door of the luggage room. Today we move to AKL with our friends that will be arriving this afternoon. NYE we will be moving to the BCVs.
If you are staying at AKL or BWV, i dont think you will have a problem picking up the trees. Happy New Years to you and your Families!
