spring 2009

because of how the paypal tools work that was the best way to do optional shipping. If the shipping is the only thing in the order I can figure it out.

Make sure to read the shipping info page in full everyone.

Those shirts are still available to order until 10pm pacific time tonight (wednesday) for anyone who's been accepted since the last post and hadn't seen them. Check the last page I think for the link to the facebook picture of what they'll be like and read the description on that page if you want one. If you want it mailed to you before you get there, make sure to add the shipping box to your cart at the same time as your shirt(s) BEFORE you start the checkout with paypal.

I just got the following email:

You're about to experience an internship of a lifetime! Before you arrive, you have the exciting opportunity to connect online with fellow Disney College Program participants from across the country with RedRover!

RedRover is a Facebook application in which students who have accepted their offer to participate in the Disney College Program can view profiles of other participants with shared interests and connect with them via social networking Web site, facebook.com. Additionally, users can post links to other social networking profiles they have such as myspace.com. Once they have connected, they can send messages through those sites, via e-mail or text message.

To sign-up for RedRover, visit http://disneycollege.redroverhq.com. This link will take you directly to the Disney College Program group where you can create a profile and search for people with similar interests.

Participation in RedRover is not a requirement; however you may find it beneficial to "meet" other students before your arrival date. You also may continue to use the application while on the Disney College Program to interact with fellow participants who have common interests. RedRover continues to grow so once you sign up, keep checking back to see who else has joined!

Thank you and we look forward to seeing you soon!

I just got that email too. I wanted to wait and see if anyone else is going to sign up for it, just becaues I'm a bit confused on what exactly this application is. We already have a huge FB group, so I don't know if it's actually worth it to sign up, and someone mentioned that Disney may be able to gain access to our profiles if we register. I don't have anything on FB that I wouldn't want them seeing, but I just don't like the idea of people I don't know looking around

I registered for it. Doesn't seem that bad, but I didn't even think about them gaining access to my profile. No biggie though, it's pretty clean except for a dirty word here and there ;)

Haha okay. I'll just have to deal with a plant or something :rotfl:

lol that's exactly what i was thinking!
i can't stend the thought of humans being the only living things in my house.
it'll be sad not to have anything furry to hold and pet for 8 months:[

I know! I'm gonna miss my kitties :( I'll try and be happy with a potted plant though ;)

I have a question about classes:

I know that for the Spring session we can only take 1 class. Does that mean we are limited to just 1 class in general or 1 ACE class. I want to take an ACE class and a non-credit class(Exploration series or something). Can we do that?

I could have sworn it was 2 classes for the regular program, and 4 classes for the Advantage program.

That sounds fine to me.

Hello fellow DIS-ers...

I know, I've been away for what seems like months... It was hard to be here when it seemed like I wasn't going to get to move back to FL for a while, if ever, when the economy plummeted... But, after moving back to the US just over a month ago, I have been extremely busy. That said, everything has fallen into place (some extended Disney magic, perhaps?:wizard: ) and I leave in about 2 weeks. I should get into my new apartment the evening of the 10th or 11th, and I have my F/T interview first-thing on the 14th. I couldn't be happier...

Anyhow, after I returned from Germany, I got right to work finding a job and have been clocking in 40+ hours a week at Toys R Us. I have one more week there, about 21 hours...the rest of my time will be spent PACKING, PACKING, PACKING!

Anyhow, my plans are back on track and I can't wait to meet you guys...

Until then... :cloud9:

Thanks, Joanna! See you in August (if you don't wander down for a visit sooner). Good luck to you in your final terms...almost finished!
