Just thinking....Is for instance, Ariel a top job at WDW? Could you just walk into the Ariel job, or do you have to work your way up? I would think that it would be a specialized kind of job.....I could never be Ariel !:rolleyes1 I wonder how much they get paid? The amount of happiness that Ariel brought my 3 year old when we visited the Grotto was amazing! She was so nice and Brooke loved her!

only ariel can be ariel... she works for a few clams per hour

which according to the current conversion charts is roughly somewhere between $8.75 and $12.93 US.

Somehow I figured she'd get paid in sand dollars...

all i know about money, i learned from the flintstones

Please don't tell me the face characters max out that low.

Yeah, I was surprised by that, too. Last week, I was looking at the Disney jobs web site. I looked at what the face characters made, and it said starting at $8.00 and I can't remember what the exact change was.

What Disney jobs website? Me and my boyfriend are really interested in moving to Orlando within the next few years, and I'd love to see what the jobs and pay are!

Wow, character rates have gone up! When I worked there, I made $6.35/hr and was told characters made about .50/hr more than that. I interviewed with another girl & she said she wanted to be a character. Our casting agent told her that once she came out of the costume, her skin would be the color of the red-orange chair she was sitting in. She seriously reconsidered there on the spot. I don't remember what job she selected, but it wasn't a character position! :lmao:

ROTFLMAO

Now I have to ask this. What is the cost of living for "normal" people living in the area. Most of us have seen the tourist price of things. Those seem like ok paying jobs, but a house and family might be a bit tough depending on number of hours working.

I just always wonder about OT things like that.
