As previously posted, it's night 11. "REMEMBER THE DATE, SEPTEMBER 28!"

I don't think we did come up with a time for a group photo. I'm thinking it should be after late dining and the early diner's going to the show.

This also makes me think about the need for a date/time for our group DIS photo where we can all wear our embarkation shirts that Sue and Todd coordinated for us.

I was thinking the embarkation one would just be done at the Meet?? Not sure though???

I think after late dining/show for the photo is a good idea!

Hey Cap'n,

I have a suggestion! For the Roll Call!

Is there any way to include the number of posts a DIS member has on the cruise meet with their other Vital Statistics? If so, it might make it easier to associate personalities with names. I've just run through the Roll Call, and found that some of the names I know (mostly from lurking), and some that are flat new to me.

Of course, I have no clue how to do this, or how hard it would be, but it seemed like a good idea at the time.....

The Captains not in charge of Roll Call - Su_kraft and Buckeye Goofy are (sorry Glenn if I got your user name wrong). It would be nice to be able to see on there but not sure how easy this would be to do!

Hi Richard,

While it sounds pretty cool, there really is no way to do this as an automated task since I do not have access to the DISBoards database. I could manually get the data, then import, but that is somewhat tedious with how the website is hosted; you only get so much for $5.99/month.

I'm not sure which is worse: working WITH idiots or working FOR idiots! (I've done both, so my vote is FOR .)

Weirdly I am doing both at the moment! My manager is a joke (asks me what to do most of the time) and my colleague seems determined to make sure they don't have to cover any of the time I'm off. My managers plan now is, rather than making my colleague stay and do my work (she agreed her leave without checking who else was on leave) to get her boss to cover my work! 2 grades higher!!!!!!!!! Nuts!

I'm still in pain from my fall on Thursday. I'm going to call the doctor tomorrow because I am having a lot of pain in my right shoulder, which is the shoulder I landed on when I fell. I can move it, but it hurts to move it in certain directions, carry things, and when I try to reach anything. We'll see what happens...

I can't remember, do we have to RSVP for the stateroom tours? I think I may have missed that.

I think Lynne is keeping a rough number of people attending.

When is the final copy published? (just curious)

Well I was hoping the end of this week as I was hoping everything would be finalised by the 18th. As it is we are still awaiting the Tasting times from conceirge who haven't got back to Sue yet so I'm not sure whether to go ahead and do it for the end of the week and add these in later. What do people think?

Oh and Sue, this would mean I need the roll call list in Excel format if possible to add in?

Can those in the UK please keep us informed on the happenings please, we've not heard anything about it on the news here to the best of my knowledge and its possibly going to affect a lot of us if it hits our travel dates.

From the looks of it BAA are in talks this morning so there may yet be a settlement reached. If not it looks likely that it will be the bank holiday weekend over here (28th August) so fingers crossed this will be all over by our holiday!

The lunch was an unexpected bonus, but it was lovely. I can't believe that the group voted against La Cantina.

I am glad that you stayed.

Thank you. I am too. I think the negative for La Cantina was that we could only book a table for an early reservation time - 6pm or something. I didn't vote for that as it would've made the afternoon very rushed...

I had a bit of trauma on the way home from the Girlie Weekend. After all the DVC talk over the weekend, I felt inspired to do a bit of planning for next year. I had WiFi access on the train, I went on the My Vacation Points section on the DVC website to check just how many points I have for next year and realized in horror that the points I thought I had banked in March never were banked. I know that I did this online, but due to a glitch either my end or their end, the transaction was never completed. Unfortunately my banking deadline was 31st July. To say that I was in a bit of a panic is the understatement of the year. As soon as I got home, I rang DVC Member Services to see what my options are. They decided to spread some pixie dust and banked the points for me. So the weekend still ended on a high note..

We just had dinner and are now chilling out with a glass of wine and a DVD.

I seem to remember reading on the Did soon after we bought DVC points, and was trying to get to grips with all the rules and regs etc that DVC will don that once only, so better keep your eyes on things another year!!! I'm always panicking about banking in time.

I'm going to have to go and check mine now!!!

We have just admitted a 35kg(77lbs) boxer dog that chased a swan,
Can you believe that its jaw is fractured and dislocated,got its butt kicked by the swan,,,,, swan wagged its tail feathers and swam off happily the dogs owners said.

I have to say the beagles seem to know to keep well away from them.

How awful, poor dog - but that's Boxers for you, such nutty dogs!!! I'm actually rather respectful of swans - they are very powerful birds. When I was a child, some boys were teasing a female in our local park so the male partner became very protective (I think they had babies) and ran at one of them flapping his wings. The swan broke the boy's arm so I've always remembered that story...

I know that I don't get on here too often. Jon is on here everyday and fills me in on the latest news.
I am so overwhelmed at the kindness and thoughfullness of all the people we will be travelling with. Thank you, so much, for all the wonderful birthday wishes. I had an absolutely wonderful day!!! My sweatheart of a husband made me feel like a that day...well everyday he does.
I am looking forward to meeting each and everyone of you. Not too long now and we will be on the Magic!!!
We will be seeing our dear friends Bob & Lyn so much sooner...we miss the both of you, so very much. We can't wait to see you!!! We are looking forward to spending the time with you. Not too long of a wait, now!!! XX

BB (US) fans, have you seen that the finale is going to be Wednesday, September 15? I'll be on a plane, which isn't a bad thing, but disappointed that I'll miss it. This season hasn't got me super excited, so that's in my favor for less disappointment.

I can let you know who the winner is since Stephanie and I won't be leaving till Thursday, Sept 16
