Candlelight Processional Dinner - Watching & Waiting

Just got through and they were full for my first choice Le Cellier on 12/1 for the 8:15 show. Got a ressie for my second choice at Tutto Italia at 5:20 on 12/1. They do not know the narrator yet and still.

I just realized that today is also the pre-sale for Philadelphia flyers season ticketholders to purchase premium seating...looks like im going back on the phone in 20 minutes

2 hours seems like a LONG time to wait! I dialed for about 15 minutes and got a busy signal till it finally went through. Then...after that, only a 35 minute wait. I don't want to encourage anyone to hang up b/c we all know that could be horrible. I don't know...it is very strange :confused3

I was hoping for different times, but what I got was 3:30 Le Cellier seating for the 6:45 show. Since the cost is high, I'm just wondering if it'll be a lunch or dinner menu? I know this would normally be lunch, but I saw something that said show 2 and 3 were dinner. I don't know that I trust Disney Dining to know the answer. Thanks!

I think that's dinner.

I think it just hit me that I got a Le Cellier ressie!! I have been kind of sitting here in shock. haha

:santa::santa::santa:

I agree, Christmas music for the rest of the day!

I got a late start this morning. Started trying to call at 8:37 CST and got through at 8:41. Wait time is more than 30 minutes. Here we go! Wish me luck!!! :goodvibes

ok phew, got the magic wand sound again, if I get cut off again, I will just fall apart. Wait time 30 mins yet again. Please send some pixiedust that I don't get cut off, been on the phone now for almost 3 hours :faint:

Finally got in. Only on hold for 23 minutes and I got the reservation we wanted. Teppan Edo at 4:00 for the 6:45 show!!!! so excited.

So - We were thinking of going the first week of December - and I still see there are no narrators listed for that time. I really want to go but I honestly don't think I can spend that much, buy a non refundable ticket and then find out it's someone I don't want to see.

To me, it's very disappointing that Disney can't firm up a schedule prior to opening reservations for the event.

I guess on a positive note, I didn't have to spend all morning on hold. Congrats to all who got the times and locations they wanted.

...got Christmas Eve at Coral Reef for 645 show. Not our first choice of restaurants but with a party of 13 I knew it would be a challenge. All this through DVC since I could never get through to DD. Whew...SO glad that's DONE! Now we can focus on preparing for CHRISTMAS @ WDW!! YIPPEE!!!

I am now trying to call the Grand Gathering number to check on some of our other plans and the operator comes on and says All Circuits are Down!

What did we crash the entire system?:lmao:

So I said back on page 62, I think, that I got through at 7:02 and was told 30 minutes. Well, at 7:50 the CM came on and said her intro. I responded... she said nothing. Then she said her intro again. I realized she couldn't hear me, so I panicked a bit and spoke louder - then she disconnected me. :guilty:

I totally understand her reasoning and don't fault her at all - it was a busy morning for her and she had no way of knowing I could hear her. I just wish it hadn't happened. I wonder if being on hold that long and getting the flood of email updates from this thread flooded my cable service (I have phone, TV, and internet through Time Warner). It surprised me that I could still hear the on hold music, though... In any event, I was disappointed, but I didn't freak out. We'll try again tonight. I'm glad I opted to keep getting ready for work while I was on hold so it didn't make me late to work. We're trying for the 30th for the 6:45 show, but if we don't get it, we still have the dinner reservation on back-up, and we'll just show up at 4:00 and wait in line for the 5:00 show. It's not worth ruining my day about. God is good, we'll be in Disney, and we'll be together as a family.

I just wanted to share my disappointment and unfortunate experience with people I knew would understand and could commiserate. :) Glad it's working out for all of you!

You can cancel the package, I think the time limit to cancel is 48 hours before your day. It would be better to get a package now for the day and time you would like and cancel, rather than be shut out

Yay! Got our first choice! 11/26 for the 6:45Pm show. We're eating at Le Cellier at 3:30PM, group of 5. So shocked to actually get it after spending an hour redialing and 35 minutes on hold. I let out a happy shriek after I got off the phone.:woohoo:
