~Only Disney could make sorting trash fun~ UPDATED 12/23

Thanks Lisa! :goodvibes

I know you probably follow A LOT of trip reports because you have so many people following yours. Thanks for sticking with me! :)

I think I've finally caught up with all my subscribed threads. It took me a while though. I also booked my Mama's package yesterday and now my sister and her husband are thinking about coming along.

I'm so happy your mama is going on another trip with you guys. I love hearing about her in your trip reports because she reminds me so much of all the Louisiana grandmaws I know. :goodvibes

They say the more the merrier, but I know more people means more opinions and schedules to consider. I hope everything works out and it turns into another great vacation for you!

Sounds like a great meet with Princess Tiana & Naveen! :goodvibes

It was! I hope they open a Princess and the Frog attraction eventually. My family would love that!

Hey! Alicia
I am so sorry I have been SOOOOO MIA! but I am trying so hard to catch up with everyone. I have been trying to catch up with two at a time so YOU are my next thread...so, I shall return shortly and go back and find where I left off!
Hope your summer has been going well and fun!
be back  Connie

Alicia!! I didn't think I was so far behind on yours! I had actually read up to this page but I guess I never commented!! Shame on me!! I LOVE all the pics you take!! The tea looked wonderful! My parents did it too and couldn't say enough good things about it, every time I see a picture of the strawberries n' cream my mouth waters! It looks so good!!! Your niece is too adorable all dressed up!! She looked so cute with Snow White and is so sweet in her Sleeping Beauty dress too!! I sort of wish now that I brought Helen's princess dress with! Sounds like the tea made a great impression with Rylan since she asks about it at home!!:goodvibes How fun to see Illuminations with just you and your mom! It's always fun to steal a little time away when you are with a group!!
Princess Tiana is absolutely gorgeous!! I didn't investigate it well enough to try and meet her and Naveen, it would have been fun to see them since we had seen the movie the night before we left! Her dress is beautiful too! I hope they keep the meet n' greet or add her to the "princess" line (if they keep such a thing with the expansion)! Donald and Goofy look great in their "western wear" too!!!

I promise to keep caught up!! You take such great pictures!! :goodvibes:goodvibes

Hey Connie!

I totally understand how easy it is to fall behind on the reports you follow. I think I follow about 14 and try to post regularly on 8 of them. It seems like I miss a few days and already start to fall behind! So take your time. I'll still be here! My mom laughed at me the other day that I'm still writing my report for a one week vacation that took place in April!

Thanks Beth!!

When I had read in your PTR about your parents doing the tea I so wanted to say "I have that planned too!!" but my mom was reading my PTR and I didn't want her to come across anything I said about it, so I kept it a secret on here too. But I loved seeing your pics from their trip to the GF this time!
It was really nice to see Illuminations just my mom and I. It's cool that the memory from that night is just something that we shared. :goodvibes
I'm so with you on hoping they keep a Princess Tiana meet somewhere! I'm sorry you didn't get to see her this trip. But if the crowd they had waiting in line is any indication, I don't think they are going anywhere anytime soon. :thumbsup2

After meeting Tiana and Naveen we waited outside The Hall of Presidents for my mom and dad.

I don’t know why I didn’t go into the Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe. I wanted to. But maybe it's a good thing I didn't because I would have probably spent waaayyyy too much money! :)

IMG_1540.jpg

We made our way to Adventureland next.

039.jpg

My dad walked over to get FP’s for all of us for Jungle Cruise and then we all got in line to ride Pirates.

040-1.jpg

I can't help but smile when I see these guys.

Having some fun in the gift shop afterwards.

We were getting hungry at this point and we knew Pecos Bill was our lunchtime destination. The new Golden Oak Outpost was right next to it and I knew they had a Chicken BLT Flatbread I wanted to try. So I ended up grabbing that and taking it inside with me to join the others.

038-1.jpg

I thought it was really good! It had a great ranch dressing. I just wish it wouldn’t have been so cold. It had come straight from the fridge.

IMG_1552.jpg

My mom and dad split this awesome cheeseburger from Pecos Bills. Here’s a pic after a trip to the fixings bar.

IMG_1553.jpg

When we got out it was time to use our Jungle Cruise FPs. A great ride right after lunch for sure. I love the names of the cruise boats! We were on board the Ucyali Lolly.

Jace wanted to navigate some of the little boats when we got off.

My dad and the kids got in line for The Magic Carpets of Aladdin next. It was a really long wait and Rylan ended up falling asleep. But it was cute watching my dad ride while holding her. The rest of us shopped in Agraba a bit. Unfortunately no purchases, but I could have bought everything in there since I love the Moroccan style.

the tea looks awsome...I would love to do that one year! just don't know with who...don't think Danny and Ashton would enjoy that too much:confused3

I hope all is well in your part of the state and you guys have had a wonderful summer...hoping fall comes quickly...

 Connie

Ummmm that Chicken BLT sandwich thingie looks so good. And, so does Pecos Bill's. That's our favorite Magic Kingdom counters service restaurant.

Too bad Rylan fell asleep on the Magic Carpets. Have I commented lately on how adorable those kids are? :littleangel:

Hey! I need to do some serious catching up. I have been a serious slacker here on the Dis with the start of school. I'm hoping to be all caught with everyone this weekend.

Looks like Adventureland was fun Alicia! I love going on JC, even if the jokes are really corny! Great pics from the Pirate gift shop too! Your flatbread looks yummy, I would have thought it was served warm, not cold. The fixins' bar at Pecos Bill is so great!! Looking forward to hearing about the rest of your last MK day!!!:goodvibes

Hey Connie! Glad to have you back! :goodvibes
They do make the cutest hats for kids. I love when Rylan wears hats!
It would have been cool if we could have met that night, but your text wishing us a great time was so sweet! I'm hoping one day we can have a Louisiana DIS meet with a bunch on people and get to meet in person and discuss all things Disney! :)

Pecos Bill's is our family's favorite CS in MK too! Yummy burgers!
Thanks Lisa! I think they're adorable too. :cutie: I'll tell my sister you said so.

No worries. I'll still be here. :) From reading your report I know you're super busy. :teacher:

Yeah, I thought the flatbread would have been warm too. :confused3 Maybe I could have asked them to heat it for me. I wonder if counter services do those sorts of things. :scratchin

We finished shopping in Agraba and then walked over to The Haunted Mansion.

I love the Haunted Mansion! Definitely a fav! I happen to like all things to do with Halloween, so the Haunted Mansion to me is a little piece of Halloween during the year. If I ever get to go to Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party I will be over the moon excited!!!! I know that won't happen this year, but maybe one day. :cloud9:

A bit of a backstory… We had been telling Jace he should ride The Haunted Mansion two years leading up to the trip. I even tried to show him Youtube videos of the ride so he could get used to it, but he was having none of that. On our last trip he was 6 and held on to the post crying that he would not go in, so my dad stayed out with him. We told him it wasn’t that scary, but of course if you’ve never experienced something your imagination runs wild and you think the worse. I told him he could sit between my mom and I and put his head down. I told him I would talk him through the ride and let him know when to look and when something was about to happen. He was a little hesitant at first, but we all walked casually into the queue and started talking about things to get his mind off of it. I didn’t think he’d make it through the stretching room, but he was looking around and seemed fine. After being squished into the line for doombuggies (wow this was chaotic), we got on and I started to narrate the ride for him. He kept his head up and eyes open for most of it! I was so happy he went on it and got to experience it! I think he thought the dining room with the ghosts dancing was pretty cool. I know he’ll be older next time we go, and it probably won’t be a big deal, but I’m glad he went this trip. :)

IMG_1565.jpg

At this point we had done everything we wanted to do and had some time to relax. I had one last thing on my MK wish list, so it was back to Adventureland for us. I had to try a dole whip!

IMG_1570.jpg

While I waited in line, Jace and Rylan made some new friends.

I had initially planned on getting the Dole Whip Float because I love pineapple juice, but I didn’t want to go overboard because I wanted to be hungry for supper. But I sadly have to say I wasn’t impressed with the Dole Whip. :worried:

IMG_1571.jpg

Don’t get me wrong, it was good. I like pineapple sherbet, and that’s what it was, but I don’t think I’d get it again. Can somebody tell me if the Dole Whip Float is better? I wouldn’t mind trying that our next time just to see if it makes a difference. :drinking:

Rylan and Jace got yummy chocolate ice cream and drinks!

IMG_1573.jpg

After finishing up, we walked over towards the castle

We decided to walk towards Tomorrowland. We grabbed some FP’s for Buzz Lightyear then rode the TTA again.

I suck at all shooting games BTW.

IMG_4227.jpg

My mom had gotten a lemon chill, so I snatched a few bites of hers, (Thanks Mom! :thumbsup2) and my dad, her and I went to see Stitch’s Great Escape. Such a disappointment. I know Alien Encounter didn’t go with the Disney theme, but at least it had some spunk. I remember riding it the first time, not knowing what to expect, and I thought it was innovative and actually thrilling. I think having a Stitch attraction is great, but I think they need to rework it to something better.

We walked and shopped down Main Street for a little while and spent way to much time ogling the desserts in the Confectionary. :)

IMG_1583.jpg

Jace bought this yummy gingerbread man.

089b.jpg

I love taking balloon pictures.

IMG_1588.jpg

IMG_1591.jpg

We caught the train and went around the park to Toontown next.

IMG_4230.jpg

My dad, Jace and I rode Goofy’s Barnstormer and then met up with the others in the Chip and Dale play area. Again… Rylan was having a ball!!

094b.jpg

097b.jpg

After a little bit, we caught the train back to the front of the park.

092-1.jpg

We found a bathroom where we could change clothes. We had a reservation to make! But first a CM asked me if I’d complete a survey on our dining we had done at the park that day. I was happy to do it! She escorted me into City Hall and put me on a computer to fill it out. I did find it funny that the guy next to me freaked out in the middle of his and said he wasn’t giving any personal information. They didn’t even ask anything personal at all. It was weird. :confused3

I had initially wanted to get on the monorail, but my dad really likes the boats, so we went to the dock and waited for the next one.

Up Next... A wonderful dining experience.

Yay for Jace riding Haunted Mansion. I am sure it was just the unknown that was so scary for him.

I hate to hear that you weren't wowed by the Dole Whip. In all of my trips to Disney, we have never tried one.

Could Rylan be any more adorable!! ALL the pics you take of her she has the cutest look on her face!! What a cutie pie!! Yeah that Jace rode Haunted Mansion! How fun for you Alicia to get to share that with him too!!!:goodvibes I drool over all the yummy treats in the Confectionery too! Gabe loves gingerbread and Jace's cookie looks so yummy!!! Great pics all over Magic Kingdom! Your family photopass shot turned out great, that's my favorite border you used too!!!:goodvibes Can't wait to hear about your dinner!!!!

I just found your trip report the other day, - really enjoying reading about your trip and your pictures are great, going back now to read about your day at the Magic Kingdom (my favorite place!)
