Thank you for sharing that, now I don't feel so bad. I tried on a cami type yesterday too - had the same thought. Got them on ok but trying to take them off was a real bear. Got them partly over my head and then couldn't get them to move Only the thought of the how I would never live it down if they had to call the fire department because I couldn't breath made me continue to fight and finally it popped off like a rocket. Could have hurt someone if there had been two of us in the room. I stumbled out of the dressing room, my hair looking like I had been caught in a wind storm, and when the sales clerk asked if I wanted her to ring it up for me I just gave a weak smile and said "no thank you." We are packed....3 bags, 45 lbs, 42 lbs and 34 lbs. We could take another bag, but don't want to deal with anymore than we have to. We got enough mentionables in there so that I will not have to wash any of them until we get to BCV and we won't even have to turn them inside out!! Dennis will just have to pack up his CPAP in the morning and then we will head over to Spokane, visit our friends in Coeur D'Alene, ID on the way and have him drive us to the airport hotel and then car sit for us for the month. I love it when a plan comes together!!
Good morning .... D Day minus 4
Didn't sleep well as my mind was still buzzing and my "to do" list kept popping up .... hopefully will achieve a few jobs today and then I might get to sleep tonight.
Have fun Corinna ...... are you going to Alton Towers ?
I used to love the TV show " The Love Boat " when I was a child .... in fact, I think it was that show which inspired my love of cruising and ships in general. When I was in my early 20s I worked with Princess Cruises and although I was based on the Royal Princess I visited friends on the original "Love Boat" the Pacific Princess and it was such a thrill. The show used to amaze me as they only had about 6 crew who popped up all over the place.
I also have a dog story ... we dog sat for my parents when they went on a cruise once. When I say "dog" she is more like a "daughter" to them and definitely above me in the pecking order, so basically she was their pride and joy. During the dog-sitting period DH decided to fix my parents loo seat, which was a bit loose. During the process the dog wandered into the bathroom a few times, which was ok, until DH came to look for the screws to put the loo seat back on. We searched everywhere, and checked the dog's mouth etc as she was a retriever and prone to putting thing into her mouth and carrying them around, but nothing was found.
A few days later, the dog started foaming at the mouth and appeared unwell, so we took her to the vets. The X-ray showed the screws lodged in her intestines and there was no option but surgery. My parents were due home in 3 days and phoned daily to check on their "princess" so rather than spoil their cruise when they could do nothing about it, we kept quiet about the dog and just said yes in the right places. It wasn't easy though.
Miraculously the dog pulled through, but it was touch and go for a while and my heart was in my mouth .... and we told them when they arrived home. They said we should have told them, but I still think I did the right thing.
Ok .... enough chatter now .... I'm off to do cruise jobs !!!!!
Stupid dog.
