One of the funniest things I've ever heard at WDW:

Not really overheard at WDW but related:

I was crossing the bridge that heads to Universal Studios. A resort boat was going under the bridge and a man turns to his family and said, "Those are the boats we take to get to Disneyworld tomorrow."

Group of four, Male 25-30, FM 25-30 and to older FM 50-60 sitting outside eating with the always present gulls nearby.

Younger female exclaims "I hate those birds, they always land on my head!!!"

Really??? Always??? Why isn't there one on your head now???

Older gentelman, probally grandfather and a small girl in the lobby of the Grand Floridian looking at the Gingerbread house. Grandpa proudly announces "I remember when there wasn't a store in that house and you could go inside, have a seat and they had a plate of cookies set out for you you eat!!!"

Does anybody ever remember anything like that? I don't but it sounds to far fetched for me believe.

The funniest thing is as I plan this trip I am baffled by the trek to Magic Kingdom and wonder, "did I really miss all that or is the trek across the lake new(er)?" Monorail? I honestly don't remember anything but parking our car and walking to the park gate.

Are you sure you weren't in California? :confused3

I was sitting in one of the rocking chairs on the "back porch" of the main building at POR on my last day - just relaxing. It was the first day of check-in for Pop Warner.

A young woman and her son stepped outside and saw the water taxi and commented to her son how much fun it will be to take the "boat to Walt Disney World."

Just then, her husband pops out of the door with their young daughter and their "check-in" package. He tells the wife that they need to go back out front to catch the bus to go to "a bunch of parks." She tells her husband, "But, we want to take the boat to get to Walt Disney World."

He says, "You wouldn't believe it, we are already in Walt Disney World. This hotel is in Walt Disney World." She looks befuddled. He pulls her along, but she continues to insist taking the boat. He finally says, "We have to take a bus to get to a park. And there are FOUR of them."

She looks really befuddled now. He pulls her aside, out of hearing range of the kids, but right beside me now and says..... "You won't believe how f$#@$&^ big this place is. You just have no idea what we have gotten ourselves into here."
:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::scared1:It is very f$#@$^Big isn't it?:laughing::laughing:

This year in early December we were in the sea of humanity at DHS to view the Osborne Lights. A young father asks me "Where is the Christmas Party With the Fireworks?", I said there is a Christmas Party at the Magic Kingdom. No, he says, here at the Studios with fireworks. I tried to explain to him that there is Fantasmic but you have to walk clear across the park to the theater to view Fantasmic. He was befuddled and did not understand me.

Yes, and there are no "hotels" in the World, they are resorts.

I am sorry, that is another one that bugs me too.

Doesn't bother me one bit.

But what does is "guests".

I don't charge my guests large amounts of money if I invite them for dinner or to stay for the weekend!

And just why do they call them "gift shops" if you have to pay for them? :rotfl:

People often don't get why we go to the WDW parks just to hang out. The guests are a great source of entertainment and all you really need is a bench.

Talking of newcomers that don't do their research...

I heard about a couple that bought Disney tickets. First place they went to was DTD, couldn't find where to show their tickets and went 'in' anyway, thought it was a huge rip-off as no-one asked to see the tickets and didn't bother going anywhere else.

We were sitting on the balcony at the Boardwalk one day, just chilling, and there was a couple sitting by us. The girl let out a huge sigh and said to the guy 'is there anywhere else we can go? We've done this one, and the one opposite, and I don't like the swan place. Thought Disney would be bigger than this.'

We got on a bus to the MK one morning at POP and this family gets on behind us and ask the driver if this bus was going to Disney World? He told them it was going to the MK. They got back off!! I often wondered where they ended up that day!!!

How do people spend so much money on a vacation and not do any research? It baffles me. I am spending thousands of dollars on absolutely nothing that I don't have a pretty good understanding of...expect of course orthodontics.

The longer we were there at WDW, on our first trip that ended last week, the more I felt like that! :rotfl:

...cause we were  with a cold or had a :headache: cause we didn't want to buy water in the park.

I hope the trip is far more memorable for my family and me.

I think that as long as you've included a water fund in your budget *and use it* the trip is already off to a much better start! :)

I agree people watching can be interesting. Last Christmas we were at the world. I was sitting on a bench in adventure land while my wife and kids were on the magic carpets. I watch as a father was noticably pulling his kids as they were cring as fast as he could through the crowd yelling move out of my ****ing way im making sure my kids are having the best vacation. There mother was walking behind looking at the ground with her hand covering her face. A few mins later someone else was yelling who the hell spit on me. If I find out im gonna beat the hell out of you. I felt sorry for the kids and mother and just chuckled at the guy as the camel kept spitting at him. He never did figure it out. Then there was the time a few trips ago we were in the line for carosel of progress and when someone behind us was saying to his friends this ride is cool Ive been on it many times but after this ride we have to find the carosel of progress i've never been on it before. We just smiled. Its just amazing what you hear some people say and do.

BTW
Why is it the person with no idea what they are talking about is always the loudest?:rotfl:

Wow! Just wow! I wonder how many days they had booked!
