Julie & Brian's Disneyland Wedding (9/2011) Sleeping Beauty Theme

Awesome, getting your e-pics tomorrow!! You are going to look gorgeous at the show!! I am soooo excited about a pic with the Cinderella coach (since we are using the vis-a-vis). I on the other hand forgot most of my nicer clothes where I'm staying in Lancaster, and the rest are packed, Grrrr! I will be there all day. I will message you my cell so we can be sure to meet! Have a blast with your e-pics!!

Cool! It looks as though we will be able to do MNSSHP towards the end of our trip. DF just OK'd a small extension! I had no idea about the Halloween Carriage rides, so we are going to try to do that as well!! How exciting, the things you learn about from your DISfriends!!

Unfortunately R&C was already booked for the time frame we wanted for the show, so we are going to dine, then get dessert and a place to sit for the show. I really want to do the Dining Plan, but we have to wait since we are going on a CM deal and see if it is offered after summer. I don't have time tonight, but we made our ADRs and I will have to check out your PJ to see if anything matches up. Drinking around the world or not, I hope we can squeeze ina DISmeet!:cool1:

That would be great!! :yay: Take a look at my plans and see what we can do!
And keep trying with R&C. It was all booked when I tried first, and I tried the other night and was able to get it around the time we wanted.

Wow those save the dates sounds adorable! I should have highered you ;) lol

My theme was "Storybook Wedding" and was based around Disney films, with emphasis, of course, on SB :) I will post some pictures when I can get a chance for you :) I just found our Engagement Photo CD that we did at Disneyland, so I think I am going to post those as well. I forgot how good some of those pictures where!

BTW love the new pictures in your signature :) you guys are too cute!!!

And it is so dumb that arribos can't do SB stuff. I did not know they have a copy right issue though. Lame.

I will definitely keep an eye out on ebay though :goodvibes

We are going to DL tonight to see Alladdin. We should def meet up sometime when your not busy or head deep in all the planning :lmao:

Hope you had a good time at the Bridal Showcase!!! So jealous :cutie:

Here is a picture of the wedding dress I had (or something quite similar)

Sorry I couldnt find one in my dress on this computer. I'll have to go and find them :) Give myslef another excuse to look at my wedding photos!!:lovestruc

I couldn't resist posting Julie and Brian's candy buffet labels that we designed together to match her pink and blue "Sleeping Beauty" themed wedding. I can't wait for her to post pictures of the final products once she is able to print and assemble everything!

Those candy buffet items are PERFECT with Julie's theme. :goodvibes
I love them so much. Great job, Dolly!

So sorry friends. I tend to take these long hiatus while life gets in the way of my DISboards!! Grrr! The good news is I am working now for a city, the bad news is it is only temporary and it is an hour and a half away from my house (without any traffic).

So many things to share with you all. Went to the Disneyland Festival of Brides show, had my first DISmeet, scheduled our Disneymoon ADRs, made a bunch of purchases from my "to buy" checklist and most recently as you can see in an earlier post the fabulous Dolly worked her magic again and created a perfectly themed out set of candy buffet labels, stickers and a cute poem! I am so excited that she was able to take my idea and bring it to life and that is a BIG check off of the to do checklist. :thumbsup2

I started this post and thought I would be able to share pictures with you, but the connection is so bad where I am staying tonight that I think I have to wait until tomorrow, Boo!! :confused3I promise, more tomorrow with pictures!!

That would be great!! :yay: Take a look at my plans and see what we can do!

YAY, so glad you were able to get the time slot you were hoping for. We checked back twice so far and no dice...maybe as the time draws nearer. We will def set something up. Now that we are FB friends, I will send you my cell # and such. ;)

OOh I would LOVE to see pictures from your storybook fairy tale! LOL, you are too cute, they were a simple easy design. I would love to learn how to do more with the programs I purchased. I took desktop publishing in college, but didn't use it enough. Who did your engagement pics, anyone you could recommend? Thanks, my best friend did our pics for free a few years ago, but DF and I are hoping to get a new set now that my hair is blonde again and he will be clean shaven. Also, she has a back injury so we couldn't do any fun ride shots. Hoping to do some in May before it gets crazy busy!

I agree, so frustrating about the glassware with sleeping beauty MIA, they have been in negotiations was the last thing I heard from a CM and that was before SB's 50th anniversary, so I dunno...:rolleyes1

Yes, Ebay is amazing for Disney stuff!! I have a saved search still on there also, so I will be your second pair of eyes ;)

I love Aladdin! The Genie is amazing, last time a baby started crying right when Jafar appeared and the Genie was all, see what you did you are so creepy you made a baby cry, and they were laughing, almost lost character, it took a minute for the show to get back on track.

I would love to get together at the parks, maybe in May?? I know I am cramming everything into May, LOL. It was fun going and seeing the carriage, but don't be jealous, the show wasn't amazing and I will be surprised if Disney partners with FOB again. :snooty:

Wow! That is absolutely gorgeous!! I'm sure you looked stunning. I went on Etsy and just my luck, they are revamping the section where you can ask people to design for you. It went down in Feb.

Meh, I am sure I will make do and find something, soon I hope. Been super stressed and gaining weight :scared1: so I want to try to get back down a little before heading into the dress shop. Called a local one and they have the Disney dresses, getting them in a week and a half so I am going to check it out! :cutie: Yes, looking back at wedding pics will be one of my favorite things in life I am pretty certain! :cloud9:

Dolly, these really are amazing, just what I had envisioned, just couldn't make them come to fruition and you were able to make magic, thank you so much!! Oh and I found a 2.5 inch punch yesterday at Michael's, but left the coupon for 40% at home :upsidedow so I am heading back tomorrow. But 2.5 should be perfect! Thanks again!!

Hey love, I found a dress that screams you.. it's somewhat simple.. from Alfred Angelo. but can TOTALLY jazz it up with crystals or a flower right on the gathered area.. I've seen this in person and it is gorgeous. Simple. But STUNNING! And can always add extra tulle material on the cap sleeves with sparkles and give it more a princess touch?

Awww sugar, thank you so much for thinking of me! I do love that dress, but I am afraid it is not a good fit for my body, I have really big hips so I need something that is tight at the waist and then free and poofy at the bottom. ;) I wish I had the figure to rock that dress, I would totally do it. Simple is nice! Thanks again!! :)

OK, now I have a little more time and a better internet connection. First off, and most exciting, we got our ADR's for our trip!! About 2 weeks ago DF and I were up at 4am (7am FL time) to call in. I am so excited for our trip I can hardly contain myself, DF and I have wanted to go to WDW together for years and once we decided to get married even though opportunities have come up we have skipped them, because we want to experience everything there together for the first time!

We also were able to book our carriage rides, one at POR one at FW and our couples massage at the GF spa. I guess we have to wait to book our photo shoot until 30 days prior?

So the FOB show at the DLH was kind of a disappointment to me. It seemed like the vendors there were not the best. There were only a handful that I thought were professional enough to hire and not really many were there that are on the Disney Preferred Vendor list. The neat thing was taking a picture with the carriage. Here is the glass slipper they had on display, so sparkly!

When we got there, a line was forming and it was almost 11am. I saw Kelly and Traci (planners). It was like coming home and seeing old friends, they are both so sweet! Traci gave me a hot tip to head upstairs before there were people and see the pavilion. We went up and got some fun photobooth pics and bumped into Kelly G. our floral design contact. It was nice to touch base with everyone. We saw how different the space looked decorated with a lounge and lots of pink. It made DF and I falter on whether or not we wanted white or gold chiavari chairs. I thought it was so breathtaking and princessy. Here is a pic:

We also liked tasting the dessert treats!

100_2178.jpg

Honestly though, the best part of the day was finally meeting my DISfriend Mindy! It was my very first DISmeet and it was really nice! I only wish there would have been more time for she and I to chat more.

I was kind of bummed too that they didn't take the opportunity for synergy, the fashion show did NOT showcase any Alfred Angelo dresses! Boo! We left early, but it was nice getting out for the day.

My little flower girls are so sweet, I want to spoil them so much!! Here is what I have so far for their gifts:

weddingstuff005.jpg

For Rose (the younger one) I got this bag:

weddingstuff008.jpg

Kylie goes to school now and I thought this bag was better for her:

weddingstuff007.jpg

I am planning on adding some candy for them, a DL princess swirly lolipop and these cute candy necklaces in a slipper.

Disney_Candy-Filled_Crystal_Shoes.jpg

As they are getting older they are liking Hannah Montana more than the princesses so I am tossing in some buttons and pens that are HM. ;)

On the cake table we are having rose petals and votive candles placed as well as two pictures of our parents at their wedding. I purchased two frames from Bed Bath and Beyond. They are from the diamond collection:

Here is the picture of Brian's parents from the 50's I love it!

I am still waiting for the one from my Dad too.

I also ordered the I DO letters from HobbyLobby online. They came in black resin and I still need to paint them.

I am hoping once we paint them, high gloss white with a top coat of very light glitter they will be perfect!
