Dumb question. I can't recall what time breakfast is the last day. We have late dining and I seem to recall breakfast was at 7:30 and we were off the ship by 8:30. Can someone refresh my feeble memory?

Are the Olympics in August? I imagine you'd never be able to get anywhere near London (or want to) at that time if coming from elsewhere...

WOW we certainly are an eager bunch, planning the reunion before the actual cruise

You never know we might all HATE each other and spend our two weeks on the cruise hiding in our staterooms and ordering room service so we don't accidently bump into each other...

It's funny, we have been telling people that we're going to get on the ship already "knowing" (of course, done with air-quotes) people. And they'll say - what happens if you don't really like each other?

I look at them like they're nuts - after all we've been chatting online for nine months!

Oh good point!!! those pesky Olympics

This year we choose Nottingham which is a little further north in the UK,

But there are lots of Olympic free areas in middle England with good transport connections, like Birmingham (great shopping) or Oxford, we can see who's interested after the cruise and take a poll.

We definitely don't want to plan it near the olympics! It will cost a fortune for the hotel room.


After the cruise & when we've set up the facebook group we can throw around some dates and see what suits the majority.

It was exactly the same last year... It was kind of funny Meeting folks for the first time and saying

"oh how's you arm? Feeling better"

Or

"did you manage to get your car fixed"

Not usually opening conversation for someone you've never met.

And when you have a picture in your mind and you meet someone for the first time and they say

"Hi i'm DizzyDisneyfan42"

and in your head you're thinking

"well you don't look like dizzydisneyfan42"

I don't think going to London during the Olympics is a good idea unless you are going to the Olympics .... I can only imagine the horrors on the underground with all those extra people in town

Including the all important "things to record from TV while away"

Big Brother (maybe) on second thoughts maybe not
Dragons Den
Hell Kitchen USA (we're behind you so no spoilers please)

And heard Downton Abby is back in September, cant miss that.

That is strange....for the CG's she told me they need the cabin #'s to charge the room directly. Maybe they swipe your room key at the tastings then?

In London? This would be a good excuse to get over there.

Not to be a party pooper,but the Olympics are to be held in London 2012. Even later in the season it could still be a zoo. What about Manchester or another town with a decent airport?
