"I'm beginning to think you are selling drugs" UPDATE: THE END

This is where I need to thank Jean. She just sat as I ran and ran - up and down Main Street in pure childlike glee with my camera.

And the rain. The rain had suddenly stopped. :goodvibes

I'm going to shut up now.

Really. :rotfl2:

It's a sacred moment for me - as strange as that sounds.

So imagine me running around like I'm on a search for all the magic - EVERYWHERE.

There's one. There's another. OH BOY! Another one! My eyes were all around - and up and down. SUCH JOY.

Thank you WDW! :flower3:

Up next: Well the vacation became magical and lovely. And I started to wish I had another week.

So what's left? Duffy the Dollar sign - the next DVC? - and a night of fun at SAB

oh and of course this -

popcorn:: :rolleyes1

Thanks to everyone still following an over three months ago trip!!! :rotfl2:

Loving the heck out your TR! I'm enjoying how we get just little bits every once in a while. I feel like I've signed onto an epic adventure.

I just looked back and realized this TR started more than a month ago. Definitely epic.

I love the overnight transformations that happen -- decorations up like elves were working the night shift - it is the best! awesome pumpkin pictures :-) I wish airfare was cheaper - I would be giving my annual pass a regular work out! as it is I am leaning toward one long trip this summer... it is the first time I have had the annual pass - a bit of an impluse buy...

Hi Lisa,

Just wanted to let you know I'm back from SSR and still following your most excellent TR.

We pulled the trigger on the APs. Aren't they wonderful? :wizard: :thumbsup2 :goodvibes :cloud9:  :lovestruc

Again, your pictures are just outstanding. You have a keen eye for detail that people normally overlook. A unique perspective.

Well Jean said worse. :rotfl2: And it was a tad unlike her - a tad. It was under her breath but even I was :scared1:.

Seems to be happening more and more - this what?!?!?! with parents. Okay, better shut up now. popcorn::

I love it! Jean and I would get along great! I just don't have the patience anymore for stuff like that. I too probably should shut up now :lmao:

Well when we nabbed BCV one of the first visions we had was walking down to the marketplace and grabbing one. :sad2: It seems like every trip some favourite food item is disappearing. Last TR was built around my BW Bakery Fruit Plate - may it rest in peace. :goodvibes

Look at me sounding so healthy. :rotfl2:

Anyway - so POR here we come. Probably about three times this trip. You pick your lettuce. Selections there are just okay. We're kind of field greens or don't call it lettuce kind of snobs. :3dglasses

And then choose your vegetables and other toppings (cranberries, cheese etc).

You can add chicken for extra $$$$.

And they mixy mixy. :wizard:

POR has a make your own pasta station as well. Great selections at this resort's CS.

We go at least once a trip. I ADORE this place. So lovely. I've said it before but Disney is bang on with it.

One inquiry and look I've written a book. :lmao: Oh well. :goodvibes

Hmm...interesting. I learn something new everyday! I am a salad fan and that sounds great. I am all for the field of greens, but I don't like the bitter lettuce though. I'm really an iceberg romaine kinda girl, which goes along with my whole "picky" eating style. I wish I could be more adventurous, but nope. Hence, my international travel diet plan :rotfl:

I'm not. :confused3 I don't get it. It's not leaving. Seems stuck in my ears. :confused3

Thanks for asking afj1007. Do you have a business trip before Christmas?

And thanks for continuing to follow. It helps. So much. :goodvibes
No thanks are needed, I love your TR's!! Oh no, I hate that! I hope you do get better, but these sicknesses seem to linger more and more. Make sure you take good care of yourself, rest! I don't have a business trip scheduled before Christmas. I was in Virginia for a few days but that's not real exciting. My next business trip I'm scheduling in February. I'll be in Las Vegas for 3 nights. :thumbsup2 I am in the planning stages of my Sept 2012 Disney extravagansa (I know I spelled that horribly wrong) with my whole family and I was looking at 2013 too. Thinking I'm going to buy my annual pass here in a few weeks. I don't know why I haven't done that sooner!!!

I'm loving your magic! You've proven that going against the tide and heading back into the park when everyone was leaving, is the way to go!! I'm so glad too that your not Disney'd out, that would be a disaster for all of us who count on your TR's, observations and humor! Whew!! When is your next trip?P.S. You can call me Amy, I feel like we're friends now and ajf1007 is so "formal" :rotfl2:

Hi AMY!!!

ajf1007 is so formal. :rotfl2: I feel like I'm a pilot every time I type it. Or an air traffic controller. OMG, I feel not making ANY sense coming on VERY strongly right now. :lmao:

I can blame my cold. It was my ears. An ear infection. Like "it's stuck in my ears" didn't give me a clue. :lmao: :rolleyes1 It was a coincidence that I went to the doctors - haven't been to mine for about seven years.:rolleyes1 And thought I better change to another - so that I can simply walk instead of subway. But they wouldn't let me sign up so to speak without coming in. Hate that but in the end it worked out.

My new doctor is HOT. :lmao: Just sharin'. What a nice surprise.

I ADORE Virginia - were you busy or not in an interesting area?

Never been to Vegas. :sad2: One day.

So where are you booking for this extravaganza? Did I miss it? Forgive me if I did. I can now blame the drugs. ;)

AP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :dance3:

I don't have a next trip yet. And I'm no longer an AP holder in a week.

Hi Lisa,

Just wanted to let you know I'm back from SSR and still following your most excellent TR.

We pulled the trigger on the APs. Aren't they wonderful? :wizard: :thumbsup2 :goodvibes :cloud9:  :lovestruc

Again, your pictures are just outstanding. You have a keen eye for detail that people normally overlook. A unique perspective.

Oh I have been thinking about you DizBub - wondering how it was going with your trip.

AP PARTY ON HERE TODAY!!!!:dance3:

Yeah for you. They ARE wonderful. I feel so rich with them.

Thank you DizBub. :flower3:

Please - please - come on and tell me about your trip. Or write a TR. Can't wait to hear. Truly.

Loving the heck out your TR! I'm enjoying how we get just little bits every once in a while. I feel like I've signed onto an epic adventure.

I just looked back and realized this TR started more than a month ago. Definitely epic.

Thanks JKnLydia. Can I call you Lydia? :goodvibes

A month. I know. Halloween I started. popcorn:: But it really takes me that long. It's like a PT job just to download the pictures. I don't have the most rapid internet. :rolleyes1 And of course it's the fact that I ADORE interacting with everyone. If it was live it wouldn't but I have a rule about vacations. No technology whatsoever. Although I love me a live TR. Such a hypocrite am I. :goodvibes

But thanks for your words. Sweet. :goodvibes And your words help me finish up - thank you - hopefully some time next week.

So glad to hear that the magic was still there, lisa! You had me worried there for a minute!

Can I just say that I LOVE this photo? It speaks to me of Halloween and the whimsical nature of it at Disney. ;)

Spleen!!!!!! :lovestruc

Whoops. Don't tell your wife I just hearted you. :rotfl2:;);)

Of course you can say you LOVE that photo. :rotfl2: ;);) Who am I to stop you? ;)

(Thank you)

There were a couple of albino jack-o-lanterns. And they didn't let them hang out with the orange ones. :confused3

As for the disneyed out. I know - I know. I KNEW I wasn't. How could I be? I am head over heels for WDW. But did think hmmm and gave it a thought when I was having fun but not feeling it for a bit. I realized half way through that it was simply stress from home. My mom isn't well -dementia - and it's stressing us all. Not to mention it just happened to be an area of BCV that I nabbed for her once at WDW. So I simply needed time to wind down this time. And then I was full force!

I'm coming over to finish off your glorious TR. I've been marketing your TR on another TR and to other DISers. I LOVE it so much. Not kidding.

OMG, AP heaven here.

Yeah for you JLCMC. :thumbsup2 It makes WDW an entirely different experience, eh?
\

Yes, if only airfare was cheaper. If only. When I first started flying from Buffalo - $49 was a given at times. And that's only six years ago. I used to wonder what SW flew on. :confused3 I guess I didn't want to know. But during that time I did two short trips. Once at Halloween. And once for the Super Bowl. Well Jean's birthday is SB time. :3dglasses But she loves both equally. :rolleyes1 We did one this year - my birthday at SSR but had to go to Pittsburgh to afford it.

Short trips are wonderful.

Please share your trip plans. When (late or early)- Where -in the summer? BCV is heaven in the summer. Are you torn on the long trip decision. Yes? No? I think when I do book I am going to go for a long trip. I've only done that once in the years of owning DVC and I think it's time.

Now I better start saving for an AP. :goodvibes

Thank you for your kind words. :goodvibes

AP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :dance3:

I don't have a next trip yet. And I'm no longer an AP holder in a week.

Glad you made it to the doctors! Ear infections are the worst! But, atleast your doctor is HOT! I love that! I haven't had that experience yet, well...my GYN is but somehow that type of doctor just can't be hot :scared1:

I was right outside of DC in Virginia. Unfortunately, I was so busy and the thought of the beltway brings me much stress so as soon as I was done with my meeting, I hightailed it outta there. I went down the night before and strolled around the mall a bit but really that was it.

The big extravaganza will take place Sept 15-22, 2012. My whole family and my BFF and her family will be going. I booked a 2 bedroom for my family and my BFF a studio. It will be the first time my mom, bro and his family have ever been there. Oh yeah, duh, you asked where I booked! I booked at my home resort - AKV. Due to the points situation, it's just a standard view but I figured since no one really knew the difference, I could save some points that way. I am so freaking excited! I've been doing a monthly Disney Newsletter for the trip (now on Issue #3) and sending my nieces little Disney gifts along with the newsletter, each month. Trying to keep everyone excited!

No trips planned? BOO! What do we have to do to get another TR outta ya? I'm afraid for when your done this one! I won't have anything to look forward to!

My new doctor is HOT. :lmao: Just sharin'. What a nice surprise.

Ok, I missed a bit of the report back when we were at WDW but have been keeping up since and I just HAD to requote this! :rotfl:

(I had that experience once too - it makes any trip to the Dr. better. ;) )

Never been to Vegas. :sad2: One day.

This is sad. We love to have visitors here. I'd even try and make it down to show you around! And DL is not that far away from Vegas. :goodvibes

ahhhhh, i do looooove me a good lisav trip report :goodvibes
chock full of the unexpected and a bit zany (isn't that a fun word?), with AMAZING (seriously, girl, you've got a talent!), uncommon pix of the common. it's like a roller coaster ride without the sick feeling :)

i really enjoy looking at the "world" from your unexpected angles.

now, please, mam, can we have more? :flower3:

So I'm walking without thought - thinking it's raining and is this really the best plan? Jean's not so excited.

:rotfl2:

Excuse me while I entertain myself. :lmao: Is this not the most ridiculously formed sentence? :rotfl2:

I went back to read over because I don't read over enough - my eyes - well I can't see well enough - sometimes don't grab the glasses and just type.

And CJ I missed this - your post last time - poor you was all trapped in tight between my incessant rambling. :

So you are not tired with Disney yet? I was beginning to get worried.

No, in my heart I knew I wasn't - but I didn't understand what was going on with me on this vacation. And I realized it was just stress that had not dissipated.

So please don't worry.

;) ;) and ;) - just in case you don't know I'm being flippant back at you. :goodvibes

First - can someone help me? The multi-quote - as soon as I press it - is suddenly going to "reply" instantly without waiting for me to push another multi or quote.

It's never done this before. Is this my computer only? No one is suddenly having this problem? Just moi?

If so, any reasons/suggestions? Anyone? Thanks. :goodvibes

Thanks Amy. Sweet of you.

But the beltway is so beautiful. :lmao: Truly. I'm serious - I think it's lovely. :3dglasses

I LOVED the bold Amy! :goodvibes It made me smile - big time. Especially being with loved ones that have never been. I said this on CJ's TR this week - one of my best memories was watching someone I love watch Wishes for the first time.

And I wanted to share with you that in 2005 or 06 we did a family vacation of about 13 - two sides of the family. And it was a wonderful time - and wonderful memory - we still talk about it to this day.

I only type that because you see horror story after horror story about family/friend vacations and I've done quite a few and have had great times (that doesn't mean someone didn't annoy me for a short time or vice versa - but great time in general).

I think too many over schedule their friends and family and then can't adapt when it doesn't work too well.

Love hearing about your trip. Is it Kidani or Jambo? I assume Kidani for the extra bathroom but I do a lot of Standard - Jambo for the view. I ADORE the pool view at AKV and all Standard-Jambo are that.

You better watch yourself Kathy. :rotfl2: I will take you up on that. :lmao:

(And funny on the doctors - Amy and you!) And I need info on that trip of yours. You can't just say "when we were in WDW" and leave. :rotfl2:

Also Kathy - I have this head hurting puzzle for you. All this rambing is just teasing David. But I'm so jealous over the clarity of a dSLR lens which I call "crisp and clean" but I'm not sure I care about anything else. :rolleyes1 And I don't know what to do - stay with Point and shoot and suffer my intense jealousy with the clarity? . I don't have the funds - so this is all for dreaming anyway.

Here it is:

Thanks David. :goodvibes Sweet.

Find me a new camera yet? :rotfl2:

See I bug Mr. Photographer about finding me a Lisa perfect dSLR - mine is a point and shoot. So I tell him "FIND A PERFECT SLR FOR ME". :lmao: But there's not one. :surfweb: I don't want to do this and I don't want to do that. And I don't want to change the lens. I won't change the lens.(KAT: THIS PART IS ABOUT ME LOVING THE TELEPHOTO) And it better not be like this or that. You get the picture. No satisfying me because I ADORE my decrepit point and shoot. And the ONLY reason I want a dSLR is because I get so jealous of everyone's crisp - clear pictures. So crisp and clear.

I start saying "do YOU see how crisp that is?" "Do you see THAT?".

KILLS ME.

Where's KAT4DISNEY when you need her? ;)

ahhhhh, i do looooove me a good lisav trip report :goodvibes

Thanks LShrow. Loved your post. I wonder what it would be like for any of us to meet one day. I'm an introvert and I'm seeing that doesn't really come across. :rotfl2:

Everyone would probably be thinking " What? where are you hiding Lisa?"

And what a lovely coincidence - late last night I was on "BW Bakery Blashphemy" trying to find some SAB pics for an update (I have none for this trip) and I saw your name and wondered how you were doing. :goodvibes :thumbsup2

So where was I?

At that magical day. :thumbsup2

It didn't end with the pumpkins.

Because it had just poured - there had been a mass exodus from the Kingdom of Magic.

And I don't know - I just seemed to see places and corners and people and unique spots that I had never ever seen before. :confused3

I don't know what to say. I know I go on about the park passes but in reality despite this drought I have spend hours and hours and hours in the MK. I'm wondering if it's because I do a lot of evening EMH and a lot of these areas *might* be blocked off or the park can get so busy that I walk quicky by some areas trying to get somewhere.

Regardless I was beyond charmed over the around the corner type of experiences. :lovestruc

I'm just going to post. Haven't even eaten yet - it's almost two. :rotfl2: Had my entire family - 11 of us - here last night and I'm not quite organized right now.

Oh I forgot this - I want to share the hilarity - at times - of panorama shots. At least for me. Sometimes they're magical. :wizard: And sometimes they're :confused3 :confused3 and :confused3. Or maybe I am. :lmao:

I loved this exit sign. But my first attempt seemed bland and boring.

100_0844.jpg

So I thought I would do it in a few pictures.

100_0845.jpg

And then I remembered who I am and knew that I would fail miserably. :rotfl: Remember THAT part of my brain that never formed. The can't do a *puzzle* part. :goodvibes So I let that go.

So panorama - YEAH! I can do panorama.

Well, I swear I didn't sneak a flask in the MK. I SWEAR. :lmao:

Take a look at this nonsense. Don't I appear beyond DRUNK? popcorn::

100_0847.jpg

Last three: POR (again on a nonsensical route ) -FW - WL/SAB at night - the next DVC - and of course the arrival - FINALLY :dance3: of Lapu Lapu

You better watch yourself Kathy. :rotfl2: I will take you up on that. :lmao:

(And funny on the doctors - Amy and you!) And I need info on that trip of yours. You can't just say "when we were in WDW" and leave. :rotfl2:

The state's abuzz with the news that Lisa might travel from the great north to visit! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

OK - we were in WDW from Nov 5-13th. Good? ;)

All right - a little bit more. 4 nights at BWV and 4 nights at VWL. Lots of F&W and concerts with Night Ranger and Air Supply while at BWV. FUN! VWL was MK time, MVMCP time and of course a visit to Fort Wilderness to eat at Trails End and see the horses. That's also the time I got on a bus from FW to get back to VWL quickly b/c I needed to drive back to BWV where I had left a battery and charger for my camera! Only 3 other people on the bus and one of them kept saying I reminded him of so and so. Then he thought I sounded like her too. Finally the woman with them asked where I was from so I said NV but I grew up in MN. And that's where they were from! We even both knew a person even though they were from Northern MN and I Southern. Not even 6 degrees of separation on a chance meeting on a bus in FL. And I caught the maid cleaning our room at BWV and got my battery back!!! :dance3:

Also Kathy - I have this head hurting puzzle for you. All this rambing is just teasing David. Lisa, Lisa. Why can't you ask a hard question?

And yet I'll take a swing at it. How important is wide angle? Is really wide necessary or not? There are some lenses out there that can give you pretty good telephoto and you might not have to change unless you also demand ultra wide or fish eye. Still a few bucks though. :sad1: I know you'd rock a DSLR! My new baby is the sony NEX-5N. AWESOME camera!!! Mirrorless so not technically a DSLR but has the same sensor. I posted some pics on the sony thread on the photo board and also on the VWL groupies thread. Still thinking about a full fledged trip report but haven't gotten there yet. A Micro 4/3rds (Panasonic, Olympus) might be a good option for you too.

Thanks Amy. Sweet of you.

But the beltway is so beautiful. :lmao: Truly. I'm serious - I think it's lovely. :3dglasses

I really am so excited! Part of everyone's Xmas present this year included Disney GC's. I know they think I'm a nut and they definitely don't get it....yet. I'm hoping that will all change once they see it for themselves. My BFF who is also going with her family, has been my BFF for literally about 35 years (I'm 41) and we have vacationed together for years. But my very first trip ever was only about 5 years ago and me and Jay and her family all went. Though she isn't as crazy as I am, she totally loves how crazy I am with it. She says she feels a bit responsible so I'm always entertaining her with Disney stories, trivia, etc.

We are going to do Kidani because of the extra bathroom. It is designated as my mom's since she's sleeping on the pull out. But I'm really trying to make sure we're not overscheduled. There are definitely things I want to make sure we do though, like the Bippity Boppity Boutique, Mickeys Backyard Barbeque and dinner at the castle. I'm also going to make a few ADR's for some pretty cool places. I really want to do 50's Prime Time and have them yell at my brother! But I really just want to watch the look in my niece's eyes as they experience everything. That's really my only goal is to have them enjoy and of course, get them hooked, obsessed and completely crazed.

That is beyond funny! :lmao: Wow ...:love::woohoo:

Spleen - I would have been a good candidate for Japanese parenting, eh? :rotfl2: ;)

I know how it happened but it isn't as funny as simply posting the picture.

So funny!! You got me thinking about the flask though...seems like a good idea!

The state's abuzz with the news that Lisa might travel from the great north to visit!

:dance3:

One - you do know that your home state lies NORTH of Toronto, right? I'm referring to the great Minnesota.

Two - nice F&W!!!!!!!!!! A TR!!!!!!!!!!! Yeah. It's like an early Christmas trip for me! KAT4DISNEY talent all over the place. Outstanding :thumbsup2;););):lovestruc.

Two and a half - thank goodness on the battery charger. I SO look forward to all those beautiful exquisite shots (KAT4DISNEY is my photo idol people - I dream of her shots!!!)

Three - funny MN story. Was it Kris Humpfries? :rotfl2: Do you even know who that is?

Four - no I never cared about wide or fisheye UNTIL you ruined that for me by posting yours!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Drat you. (Kathy - little ol' me got 3rd in Waterworks - short one - straight to finals - but :dance3: for little ol' point and shoot me!!!!)

Five - Kathy, I almost said "but it has no viewfinder!!!!!!!!!!!!" :sad2: and then I find your posts/pictures and you educate me with the EXTERNAL optical viewfinder. I HAD NO IDEA such a thing existed or about these type of cameras. I have a question - well two. Ready? Don't tell me this is a stupid one, okay? I know nada beyond P and S. THat exernal VF - can it see telephoto change?

And what do you think of the Canon Rebel vs. these cameras? I know. I know. Not a short answer. I know Kathy. :flower3: And I know I have to hold them. And I'm worried about not enough telephoto on a lens that I won't remove.
