Actually i do not think all car companies use cc to hold a car. I have one on hold with Budget, and they did not ask for any cc info to hold the car. I do have an Alamo car on hold, and they do require a cc, but it is not charged until the car is returned.

I got a Ford Explorer using the Wendie code (D454300) and the $30 coupon (MUGZ029) which comes off at the end when you return and is not reflected on your confirmation. With coupon, the total is around $200.

Does this mean that if I use these codes and get a quote with taxes of 319, I can expect an additional $30 off when I return?

Oops, sorry. Well, I've never been able to do it. Which Budget did you use? Ours is with the one at Port Canaveral and they would not let me hold one without one on file.

Yep, I checked Budget and Hertz because I have reservations at both (long story but they are both for part of our stay) and they've both gone UP. In fact Hertz is 150 more than when I reserved in January.
Hopefully they all come down soon.

Just letting everyone know that Alamo has gone down dramatically. Just booked a midsize from April 29th to May 10th for a total of $165.35 all in. I used an Amex rate code and BJ's $40 coupon. Good luck everyone....

Congrats! Dollar is down too!! I didn't have an amex, so couldn't use your code, but checked dollar and just got a midsize 5/10-5/20 (10 days) $236.85 TOTAL including taxes, fees, etc! No codes. My original was like $450, SO, if you are on this thread....go check the rates!! They have even dropped since I checked last weekend!

An encouraging sign to me that the Costco rates are going to budge soon - the price for am, noon and pm will often vary - sometimes significantly. Today is the first day I've seen a difference in the Alamo price for pm vs. am. While it wasn't much of a difference, I'm holding out hope and after reading the PPs above the Costco rates will come through after all.

BJ's is a warehouse store like Costco. Also you can join Alamo's Insider Club for free and though the discount is quite as good as the AMEX it is substantial. There is also an Alamo coupon for $35.00 off (AD2359FDF) , if you combine those two you should get a midesize for less than what you have with Dollar.l believe these rates will go down even further as we get closer to our trips.

This is a Vroom Vroom Vroom code...I have been using it now for 2 yrs. No you dont need any kind of paper coupon.

Check expedia.ca since they have some good all inclusive rates as well. Econo $129.58 Budget, Fullsize $142.64 Budget.
