What are the odds of getting a standard room that is close to a bus stop, if that is my only request? Right now I have 2 rooms booked at the Sports, but am thinking I might upgrade to CBR. It is the only Moderate I have yet to stay at, but my 72yr old dad is going along, and his request is to be near a bus stop.

I ran the numbers and it wouldn't be much to upgrade from ASSp with standard dining to CBR. Not even $200 a room for 5 nights. Should I switch? If so, what location should I ask for to be close to a bus stop and have a good chance of there being seating?

We have requested close to the bus stop the past 2 years and have always been accommodated. Cbr has several bus stops so it's not a huge issue

each section has it's own stop so you should never be far from one.

i agree - request one and tell them why and I'm sure they'll put you close to one. Here's a map that shows the building #s and where the stops are

Two quick questions,

Is there a movie played at night or is that only at deluxe resorts?

Is there an age limit on the pirate pool area? DD is 8 and would love to be able to play there.

We booked DS on the CBR cruise on our "down day" while on vacation. Are we allowed to leave CBR or is it not worth the effort? I'm not sure where we would go since we didn't have park passes for the day and I KNOW we won't have time to do anything like that. Maybe go to DTD..just the two of us....IDK. I also thought just getting changed and taking a swim or hitting the jacuzzi. If you were in the same situation what would you suggest doing? The cruise is from 9:30 am to 11:30 am on a Tuesday. Thanks!!

Not sure about the movies....I think it might depend on the season...

The kiddie pirate pool has a height restriction on it -- 48" I believe.

Our boys did this about 3 years ago. There really isn't time to go anywhere, unless maybe you have your own car. But even then I would be worried about getting back in time. We just had some quiet time at the resort and took a walk. And then we got an early lunch at the food court right when they started serving lunch (11am) and took it to one of the tables outside of OPR where we had a view of the marina and could see when the kids got back. It was really nice!

Well, I went ahead and booked the Pirate room. I think DS will love it! It seems like it is something worth doing once, and he's at that perfect age for it right now. I'm getting really excited for CBR reading through this thread. A lot of helpful info! Now I'm wondering if I should book the Pirate cruise too? Hmmm. . .

I would say Jamaica building 45 , Aruba building 51, or Martinique building 22 are closest.

I've never stayed in a pirate room and have a question with those familiar with this part of CBR. Are there any king bed rooms in Trinidad South? I believe that all pirate rooms have the two double beds.

I'm asking because we have a reservation for a king bed room and want to add another room but only pirate rooms are available for our dates. Wondering how close can we get these rooms together?

Okay, kind of an odd question for you...
What sort of door handle does the bathroom have? I need to get a baby-proofing lock so my son doesn't get in there without one of us! I have looked at every picture I can find online and none show the handle to let me know which type to buy, and I don't remember from our last trip.

Martinique 26 is the closest building to the food court. Trinidad North 31 is the closest building to the main pool.
