Luxor.....big, loud and a tad shabby.

breakfast was at the food court...$20 later..OMG people, it was horrible...take a look for yourself..muffins were warmed not toasted etc

so, we were going to check out and go to M&M world, but he was so happy by the pool, that's where we stayed until the airport for our 4 pm flight....it actually was the best part of the trip in Vegas....the people you meet in the spa!And heaps of poms waiting for their night flights home, so the pool area really filled up after 11am - check out time.

next trip you have to try these things.....its great we always leave with more things to try next time..and I do love freedom..not as much as ANZ..but close

what did you think of portofino....to us it was overpriced, over staffed and the food average...

Hmm, I guess the context that we went to Portofino was different to yours. Every other night we sat at our table for 11 in the main dining room- 7 adults and 4 children. We really enjoyed those nights but our night at Portofino was our one night with just the adults so I think I enjoyed it for that reason and I also liked being in a smaller dining room for one night. Funnily, I think DH and I ordered the same as you two. He had the lobster and I had the Seafood skewer. I don't remember what he thought of his however I did like mine but then again I'm not much of a foodie. I've just looked at my photo of mine and it does actually look nicer than yours so I wonder if it was a better quality the night I had it I do remember being disappointed in the dessert menu because there was nothing I actually wanted. However that doesn't mean I didnt order one of course! I actually don't think that the food at Portofino is actually much better than what you normally get in the main dining room but their presentation of the food is more impressive on the whole.

So, most of our trips need 3 things...Disney, Cruising & Soccer.....so our last night in LA was at a galaxy game....we actually stayed the extra 5 days just to see the game...

now this was just after a random woman came up and asked me about my awesome hair.....go figure...OMG, I just noticed the hat the kid behind me has on...I have that hat......

Our last day in LA, we catch a bus to Manhattan beach & what do we find...the winner of cupcake wars...so of course we have to go in....$6 later.....

Bargain, $6 for 2 coffees & 4 mini cup cakes

how can he not smile??

So after devouring the cup cakes.....buying 2 books at the book store....we head for the beach....

wearing my $6 Disney shirt and $20 Tommy H shorts....I do love bargains

and meet the biggest sea gull we have seen

well worth the effort to get there

DH said this was the best trip yet..so I'm happy....

lets finish with my business class trip home..thanks for watching....

Was the gentleman looking in horror at the bags in the last photo giving you a lift home? He dropped you off a few weeks before with 2 carry ons and brought the little car to take you home when he needed a mini-van?

that poor guy is my dad.....he was standing there trying to work out how it would all fit in the corolla... it all did..I didnt so train for me...

Ohhhh, my DH would be so jealous! We're hoping we can see a game next year. We went to one inJapan and it was amazing. So much mor atmosphere/chanting/singing/noise than here. His dream is to see Newcastle play in the premier league one day.

Did you see a soccer game in Japan? DH mentioned baseball the other night, it's something I had never thought about doing over there?

my DH did a few games in Japan in 2006....said they were awesome....so if you have a chance then do it..
