~* May 2014 *~ I'm going, are you?!

Leaving tomorrow :yay:

I see a few people posting about the Photo Pass, is there a benefit to signing up before you go? If so, I better get on that today :rolleyes1

The price for Photopass + (includes ride and character meal photos - except Storytellers) is $99.95 in the parks. If you pre-order it at least 14 days before your trip, it is $69.95. The posters here are talking about the pre-purchase of PP+. Since you are leaving tomorrow, you would not be able to order it for the reduced price.
Have a good trip!

We leave Saturday morning! I have to confess that I have not even brought out the suitcases yet. Eeek! I'm going to start laundry tonight and hopefully get everything done by tomorrow afternoon so I'm not stressing too much before we leave! :cool1:

If you buy more than 5-6 of the ride photos, it is still a good deal at the $99.95 price. Otherwise, get the free Photopass in the park so you can get all the cool pictures that the Photopass photographers make. They usually have a deal on buying the whole CD of the pictures, but it doesn't include the ride pictures like the Photopass+ does. We got the + version last time and loved it. My family rode the rides that take pictures multiple times to do all sorts of crazy poses on them, and had a ball. I must have 25+ ride pictures alone, plus 100+ other pictures take by the Photopass photographers, and also the free pictures from Goofy's Kitchen that you get with the Photopass +. I thought it was a great deal--even at $99.99 in the park. But anyone with more than 14 days til their trip should order it for the lower price.

We leave Monday!:cool1: So thankful we are going next week when it isn't supposed to be so insanely hot (western Washingtonians think anything higher than the 70's is sweltering!). I have most of our packing done, our Von's order done, but still a list of last-minute to-do items. I always bake healthy muffins and cookies to bring with us, so will do that this weekend. Getting excited here!

Thanks! The $69.95 does sound like a good deal, too bad I am too late for it. Next time!

I am fortunate to go for the day on May 22.
DD and I are flying into ONT (brother lives close by)...first flight of the day. Brother and SIL (CM) will pick us up and we will head to the parks.
My brother and I are going to do one of those adults who recreate their childhood photos photo shoots. We are doing this as a surprise for our Mom. We have a bunch of DL photos from when we were younger, but there is one day that was heavily documented for some reason. The only problem is that I was wearing my 70's satin shorts zip up skating romper in the photos that I need to recreate. Please try not to laugh if you see me walking around in my adult version of that outfit I came up with.

All I care about ride wise is BTMRR.....:cool1:

I'll be there that day! Getting in around 2ish I think. I'll keep an eye out for you. I LOVE this idea!! PLEASE, please, please post the photos! I'd love to see the child and adult photos. :thumbsup2

Thanks for the encouragement Crystal. :thumbsup2
I keep trying to get out of it, but my brother is having none of that.

I just love that you are doing this Girimama33! I did something similar for my parents in 2001. My parent took me to the San Diego zoo when I was 3 and took a photo of me sitting on this large tortoise statue. I went back with DH on our honeymoon in 2001 and saw the tortoise and remembered the photo. So DH took a photo for me on the tortoise. I didn't have the photo with me...but looking at both the photos it was totally weird because I have my hand in almost the exact same position in both photos.....anyway, my parents love it! So I'm sure your mom will love it too!

And BTMR is my top priority too! I haven't watched any videos yet, so I cannot wait to see everything!

I am with you on BTMRR. DH's cousin posted a POV video on my FB page after it opened...and I didn't have no interest in seeing it. I want to see it for myself the first time.

Sounds like you were the originator of recreating the childhood photos. I love how you even matched your pose even though you weren't really trying....like your 3 year old self was coming out again. :goodvibes
We really want to try and get the same poses and facial expressions. I wish we weren't doing the outfits though. My brother was just wearing jeans and a t-shirt...no fair. I do get to put his 6'3" 200lb booty into some foottie pajamas though. That should be interesting.

LOL! A little pay back ;)

And I just realized Space will be open now too! Yay!!!

We leave in nine days and I forgot to get photopass +. My mistake, totally forgot. I better get my camera ready. I also need to get transfers. Maybe I will just pay the $$$ for a taxi and be done.

Started packing. Who knew it would be so cold here in May. (Not nice, I still have the furnace on.) I have not even worn any of my summer clothes yet this year. They are going directly into the suitcase. I am really looking forward to some warm weather.

I love this. I was going to go thru my photo album this weekend because I like to recreate my childhood pics with my son. I might have to post some here so I can get an idea of where in the park I will need to go since so much has changed since 1982 lol

We leave tomorrow morning for our first trip to Disneyland. Our bags are packed and we're ready to go. Hope I can sleep tonight!!

Hooray!!!:cool1: Have a safe and fun trip!!!! First trips are amazing---have a great time taking it all in!

Thanks!! I've been to Walt Disney World too many times to count but can't wait to see Walt's park! I plan on soaking it all in.

Eeeep!!! Tonight is my last shift at work and we leave tomorrow morning for Seattle. We fly out Sunday morning and I can't wait. The kids still have absolutely no clue that we're going and we can't wait to surprise them, which we'll do when we wake them up to head to the airport. This is going to be an amazing trip!!! :yay::yay::yay:

Can't believe we are leaving in just 5 days!! Only two work days and then we set out Wednesday after DD3 preschool Mother's day party. What great way to start a vacation! We will be visit MK May 7-10th. This is my DD's first trip and we will keep it a surprise until the day of...of course I'm amazed she hasn't picked up on our constant spelling D-I-S-N-E-Y :rotfl2:

4 more sleeps!

But before then, I'm flying somewhere for work tomorrow, running a half-marathon (on Sunday) while I'm there, and flying home Monday evening after work, before flying to Anaheim the next day (Tuesday morning).

Excited. Staying at DLH for the first time. Was going to split stay but decided to just stay at DLH for the full trip since it's our first stay at DLH. Can't wait for my son (and I) to see/experience the cool headboard, lights and music!
