You bet your aft we had a good time! A Wonder trip report Update 12/30 p.59-611

Your day at CC looks very nice and pleasant. That was a lot of pictures that you took that day and it was neat to see all different parts of the island.

I love it I love it I love it!!! Let me go back right now please! :flower3:

You seriously got some great pictures. I love that place :lovestruc that was such a fun relaxing day. Only thing that could have been better was warmer water but the kids enjoyed it and that's what matters most.

I agree, the water could have been warmer but it sure was nice sitting along the water's edge in those chairs watching the kids play. :lovestruc Take me with you if you go back!!!!

Thanks Bret! It really is such a gorgeous island. I am glad we didn't miss our stop there. The cruise before ours did I believe.

Wow! That's a long cruise to be totally hammered all the time. :sad2:

CC looks amazing. What gorgeous white sand and I can see that everyone would have had a great time there. Wish I were there.

The sand was wonderful. Its really a beautiful island. Best part? There were plenty of beach chairs. :thumbsup2 That's another good reason to sail the smaller ships in my opinion.

So I talked to Pam..... and this is how it went down:

When Pam got back to the ship, she ran into the Parent who said she was so upset because AC had stolen her KTTW card and bought 9-10 drinks that afternoon on Castaway Cay.

Now when I was at the bar it was ACSO buying the drinks not her which makes it even more crazy. Anyway....

The parent claimed she hadn't bought that many drinks the entire trip.

When Pam got to dinner, Joshua and I were already there as were the two minor children. The parent and ACSO showed up but AC never came to dinner. They received two calls during dinner that caused them to leave the table......

You ready?

The first was that AC had been arrested in the room. :faint:

The second call was that she had been taken down to the health center on the ship. Neither the parent or ACSO came back after the second call. The two minor children stayed with us during the remainder of dinner.

Before ACSO left the table for the final time, he confirmed that AC never acts like this and he'd never seen her like this in the 6+ months they've lived together. Uh huh.

After he left the sibling of AC piped in and said that ACSO is like this all the time.

True story folks......I may be getting ahead of myself but since I've got the info and all.....

While we were leaving the dining room we ran into Beth and Chase, who we spent our Cozumel day with, and they confirmed the naughty behavior on CC that day. Chase and Joshua chatted about seeing the midnight premiere of Captain America which he did see with his friends. :thumbsup2

The plan after dinner was for Pam and I to meet with up with our friends Jennifer and Carroll. Jennifer is the woman in the pic with me. Her daughters are in the photo with Joshua at CC. Super cute family. Really like them and we stay in touch on FB.

When Pam arrived I was chatting with them at Quiet Cove pool. The parent was also there chatting with us telling us the whole sorted story. I stand by that she was very likable but just had what appeared to be a pretty enmeshed relationship and odd boundaries. All families have drama for sure but this was over the top.

She shared more drama. Apparently AC, during room arrest, fought the security folks resulting in being restrained and handcuffed. Security had to stay outside the room which resulted in a $300 charge.

I know, I know, and Pam can verify every last detail. It saddens me that someone's cruise could end up so horrible but I guess this was there 6th or 7th cruise so maybe they didn't appreciate it like us newbies. :confused3

Pam and I still talk about how totally wacky this all was. It didn't dampen our fun in the slightest. People are people everywhere. :goodvibes

Wow! So the parents are not acknowledging that AC was drinking....that much; despite the parent's KKTW being stolen by AC and a bunch of alcoholic drinks charged to it?
And all of this laundry was being played out in the open?
And DISNEY put AC under room arrest? Unheard of!

My family drama seems so normal in comparison.

So crazy! So was the room arrest for two nights or had you gotten ahead of yourself with the previous updates when you said she was on room arrest for slugging the CM by the kids pool?

Nine drinks between the two is a lot, especially early in the day. I end up having quite a few over the course of the day, but I try to stretch it out and not get "hammered". I can't imagine being like that so early in the day. And keave it to the young ones to speak the truth.

I'm glad you guys didnt let it cloud your trip. I can't wait for our next cruise! When are you going to tell them and how do we link our dinner reservations?

I think this was the second night of room arrest but I'll have Pam confirm. Like I said the finite details like that are blurry. ::yes:: She was on arrest for the CM slugging so this was night two. The added security outside the door on this night was what the extra $300 charge was.

No way could it cloud the trip. It really wasn't the majority of the trip but it seems thats what folks want to hear about. ;) Who wants to hear: we shared food and bonded and made lifelong friends? :rotfl2: :woohoo:

I don't mind a good during-the-day-vacation buzz but there is a time and a place. had they been traveling without minors who were sitting at our table, I could;t have cared less to be honest. Everyone vacations differently but you could see the minors were upset. Thats the part that burns me up.

Not sure when I am telling them. Maybe for Michael's birthday? I can link them if you give me your reservation number or vice versa. Ellen booked mine.

Mine too. :lmao: I think. LOL!

It seems the parent knows she drinks but maybe she was;t willing to own it on this trip. I was't about to challenge her. Not my patient. ;)

Yes, room arrest with security outside the door. Thankfully the parent shared a cabin with the minors and the AC and ACSO had their own room so the monies still has access to their room. But I do recall the minor sibling being quite upset one night over the escapades. Most people behave their best in public so if this was the best, I can't imagine what the reality looks like.

I'm no help on this one, I only remember the last night being the room arrest night.

Me! I do! I like that part!!! :teeth:

Hmmm, I must have got ahead of myself then. What was the punishment for the pool incident; anything? Other than sheer embarrassment?

I like that part too. Back to work tomorrow?

The drama was crazy! Makes my family look sane! :rotfl2:

Bonding and making lifelong friends really is the best part!

Makes us all look sane and admittedly, traveling with my mother may lead me to total intoxication too. :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl: No really. Lol!

It really was so nice how well we all got along. Loved that part most of all. Can't wait for the whole family to meet her.

Can't wait to sail the Wonder again. I watched a special on the bigger ships and they look amazing too. One day.

I'm freezing tonight so the CC pictures are torture. I can't wait to go back sometime (hopefully 2/2016).

Likewise about the cold! Whats the weather where you are? We are seeing uncommonly high winds of 50-70 mph. I saw a semi ever so gently turn on its side yesterday. Horrible! Plus the cold which will make it a whopping 17* I think today. :rotfl2: Is that even a viable temp? :rotfl:

2/2016 isn't that far away!!!! :woohoo:

I did work yesterday and I'm off again today. I didn't get a chance to get on here yesterday.

For the pool incident, I don't think they were reprimanded. We saw them up top right before watching Up. They claimed it was a panic attack. I'm sure it was taken into account when they chose to do the room arrest. I could be wrong of course, I very well could have missed hearing about something.

Happy New Year!!! :)

Yay you for being off two days in a row! :thumbsup2 Do anything exciting last night?

That's right, the panic attack! :rotfl: I think you're right. Crazy, crazy, crazy!

I was quite the adventurer and had dinner with my dad and stepmom at their house, and then we watched a few episodes of Fantasy Island. Nice low key evening. :)

How about you guys?

We partied as hard. :rotfl2: Dropped Chloe, Joshua, and their friend at the movies then M and I went to dinner which was really nice; Indian. Got home about 10, with the kids, then fell asleep by 11. :rotfl2: Was up at 2 when Gabby got home to hear the gory details of the party she was at. I am SO proud of her. She was the only kid allowed to drive home because she was the only kid who didn't drink. :thumbsup2

Way to go Gabby!!!! Peer pressure can be so nasty, it is very commendable she didn't succumb.

And the funny thing is we told her if she drinks, while asking her not to, but if she did to call us or spend the night. We know all too well what it was like to be that age. She said she was the only kid there who didn't lie about where she was. The parenting thing is such a total crap shoot.

So proud of her. She sets a very good example for her siblings too. :thumbsup2

Way to go, Gabby. And well done to you, momma! That's great parenting.
