We'’re out of it! … A summer 14 “MAGICal” Med adventure Day 14/Aug 05 updated 05/05

Yay for an upcoming trip and a birthday cruise. I am sure you are going to have a wonderful time and your arrival plans look wonderful. Yay for scoring a standard view for the first night. That's awesome! Looking forward to hearing more about your upcoming trip.

I can't believe how quickly that trip has come up. In a week's time we will already be on board the Magic, getting ready to sail away.
It was pretty unbelievable that there were studios left at BLT when I was able to book. And since we will only spend the one night I do not care if it has a view or not.
More coming up shortly.

Your trip is coming up so fast....I wish I could just do a last minute cruise and join you!!!

Yes, it did come up faster than I thought. I would love if you could do that last minute cruise - now that would be FUN!!!:cool1:

IMG_5463_zpsffc1296f.jpg

IMG_5464_zps5f374c01.jpg

IMG_0964_zpsc222499e.jpg

After lunch we will explore the ship. If we have not done it before we will hand out FE gifts or finish handing them out.

If there is something interesting in the Buena Vista Theatre we will watch a movie in the afternoon or if the weather is nice enough we might even have a dip in the pool.

Slow day today, we will spend some more down time in our room before heading to dinner at a rotational restaurant.

I guess we might have a little time, so we will check out the area

DSC_0308_zps967be707.jpg

before joining the Grand Cayman walking food tour. I booked that on my own and it sounds pretty interesting. It will take 3 hours.

After the tour we will do a little shopping before we tender back to the ship.

IMG_0505_zps69e4d7b6.jpg

IMG_0507_zpsb26f40f4.jpg

Day 6, Cozumel

We will watch the ship pull into the port of Cozumel

then head to Lumiere's or Cabanas (if Lumiere's is closed again) for breakfast.

IMG_0705_zps177f6c96.jpg

We will then enjoy the emptier ship for a while, maybe take a dip in the pool. No hurry today as we do not have anything planned on shore.

IMG_3623_zpsvyc9kx7d.jpg

Lateron we will have lunch at Lumiere's before we head off the ship to do a little shopping.

DSC_0767_zps47120075.jpg

Once shopping and exploring is done we will get back on the ship and maybe watch a funnel vision movie or just chill.

In the early evening we will head to Palo for dinner.

IMG_0753_zps423c26e8.jpg

IMG_0773_zps98f9920b.jpg

After dinner we will just rest for a little while before heading up onto the top deck for Pirate Night and some fireworks.

followed by some coffee in the Cove Cafe.
Then we will hand out the last of our FE packages before heading to the Walt Disney Theatre to watch Disney Dreams.

where we will get our stuff ready for the next day before falling into bed.

15birthday_zpsp2vlztl5.jpg

Day 8, Castaway Cay

IMG_1034_zps68cbafb0.jpg

IMG_1048_zps3020e97a.jpg

I am sure we will have one last drink and a walk around the ship before returning to our stateroom, which we will have to leave the next day.

15birthday_zpsp2vlztl5.jpg

Day 9, Debarkation day, Epcot and MK

I guess we will be up pretty early, pack up the rest of our stuff and head to Cabanas to grab a bite of breakfast.

DSC_0952_zps600e9d8c.jpg

Then it will be time to head off the ship.

DSC_0960_zps5ef22f66.jpg

Our car will be waiting in the car park and we will soon make our traditional farewell drive by at the terminal

IMG_1306_zpsc9da2014.jpg

and we will be off to WDW where we hope to arrive on time for our Easter brunch at

DSC_0563.jpg

The Wave at the Contemporary Resort. If we finish our brunch early enough we will try to head over to the Magic Kingdom for the Easter Parade, which will be at noon and possibly a ride on the People Mover to soak in the atmosphere. Hopefully there will be time to stroll through the shops on our way out. We will then make our way over to the

DSCF1806_zps4d1cd7dd.jpg

Beach Club Villas, where we will be staying for the night.

And after stowing our luggage either with bell services or in the room should it be ready by then we will make our way to the International Gateway to enjoy Flower and Garden and its culinary offerings.

IMG_3914.jpg

IMG_3923.jpg

IMG_3924.jpg

We have been lucky enough to see bits and pieces of F&G on previous visits but it has never been officially open, so this will be a first for us and we cannot wait to try some of the special food and drinks they are offering during the festival.

IMG_3929.jpg

We also have some rides scheduled and will head to Futureworld for Soarin, Mission Space and Spaceship Earth all with FP+

In the early evening we will head back to the resort in case our room has not been ready when we arrive. Depending on how tired we will be we will then either walk through Epcot again and take the Monorail, or just get a taxi to take us over to the Magic Kingdom.

DSC_0389.jpg

We hope to be in time for Wishes

IMG_6052_zpsee1a11e5.jpg

IMG_6077_zps1a39cea6.jpg

and the Main Street Electrical Parade and hope to stay as long as we can as the park will be open until 1am. Guess there will be long lines for most of the rides, so we do not get our hopes up for any, but at least we can enjoy the atmosphere.

When we finally decide to leave we will either have a look at the bus lines or just get a taxi to take us back to the Beach Club for a few hours of sleep.

Looks like a lot of great plans and fun for the trip and Birthday Cruise. party: Wish you were getting to the Disney part a little bit sooner. With a long holiday weekend I might have been able to take a quick trip down to say hello and finally meet you and Tom. :goodvibes

I'm sure you already will, but I hope you have a wonderful trip! :thumbsup2 And :bday: to Tom!!! :cool1:

Hello Karin!
Ooh you lucky thing, another cruise and Disney trip just around the corner
Happy Birthday to Tom. What a great way to celebrate

:banana::cheer2::jumping1:

Yes, we are going to stay at BLT again. I have been so lucky to score a standard view room for the one night we will spend there.

Very awesome!

the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train! A first for us.

Love that you first ride on 7DMT will be at night! I've heard it's better at night too. :hyper:

Be Our Guest for breakfast. When they opened up reservations for breakfast I was lucky enough to score a reservation.

What?! So awesome, looking forward to hear about this one!

Seven Dwarfs Mine Train
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
Jungle Cruise

And now you can ride 7DMT in the day time too!

Today we can truly sleep in, maybe just grab some coffee from the beverage station. Then in the late morning we will head to Palo for brunch.

:thumbsup2So much food on your trip, but I bet you're especially looking forward to the Palo brunch

and we will be off to WDW where we hope to arrive on time for our Easter brunch at the Wave.

Are there a few restaurants at the World that have special dining for Easter? Very fun!

Flower and Garden and its culinary offerings.

Ugh, so lucky! Now that i've crossed F&W off my list, my next adventure needs to be checking out the Flower and Garden Festival:thumbsup2

Oh Wow. It must be cruise time by now. How lovely to spend the week before Easter on a cruise and then have bonus time at WDW. I love the cruise itinerary. Thanks for posting those pictures of Key West. The are lovely - especially the sunset. It looks like the perfect cruise.

I am sure you will love F&G. Sounds like a perfect Epcot/MK day.

Have an awesome trip!

Hi Karin, your trip is nearly there! I was thinking of you when I heard the tragic news about the Germanwings plane in France on Tuesday as the Lufthansa pilots immediately stated that they were not going on strike for the foreseeable future as this was not the time for such fights right now.

I loved reading your plans! Seems like you have a fun filled itinerary! I hope that the parks won't be too crazy!

Karin I am all caught up again only to find you will be leaving soon. I love your plans. I hope you have a great trip!!

LOL, Karin, you are the only one I know who posts your entire TR - with pictures - before you even leave home! :teeth: I love that!

I just watched the Magic sailaway :sail: a short while ago. I was looking for you and Tom. I thought I might have spotted you a few times, but all the faces were blurry so I couldn't be sure. Besides, I wasn't sure where you would be(last time on the Dream I knew to look for 8188) and I didn't see an Austrian flag(a dead giveaway that it's you). Still, I was waving at the webcam! :yay:

Tom, if you're reading this, :bday: I hope you have a "Magical" birthday! Karin, please extend my birthday wishes to Tom if he isn't reading along.

I hope you are both able to rediscover the magic pixiedust: on the Magic after your somewhat disappointing "We're out of it!" Med cruise. I know it is there somewhere. I'm not sure if you are even able to get online to read this now, but I have your schedule and will be webcam watching throughout your cruise. It is highly unlikely that I will spot you because the timing would have to be perfect but it will still be fun to watch, knowing that you are there. :sunny:

Hi Karin and Tom! By now you are well into your trip. Hope it is going great and they are not out of anything! I also thought of you when I heard about the crash as I knew you would be flying soon and I wasn't sure where your connections might be.

Have a wonderful trip we will miss you by 23 days this time

Sorry you are not on a Disney high anymore. Love reading your thorough reports though

Happy Birthday Tom and I love that you are there on the cruise now. It makes me happy to think of it! Iwish you many happy experiences

Hope you are having a magical time and can't wait to hear about it.
