Kardashian shut down?

.

If you google Disneyland and Kardashians it comes up with quite a few pictures of the family there. Kris Jenner actually celebrated her birthday there last year. I don't think she shut the park down for that though.

I am one of the unfortunate people who have a trip planned for this timeframe. If they shut DL then DCA will be a madhouse!

Us too. Not much we can do about it at this point, but seriously displeased at the thought of the sheer chaos this could potentially create. I'm hoping it's really just a rumor, or at least not on that weekend.

Even If they do only close part of the park, I hope it's not Fantasyland which I suspect it might be. Their daughter is turning 2 so it would make the most sense based on the rides she can ride. And I'm sure they would want the castle closed off for pictures.

I really hope this doesn't happen. I don't know how I explain to my 3 year old that she can't ride the carosuel or Dumbo. Someone on another site said they called Disney and were told the park would not be closing but that multiple people had called about it. But they didn't say anything about part of the park being closed.

They spent 12 million on their wedding and are worth about 215 million. I wouldn't put it past them to spend 5 million on their daughter's birthday. I don't think they will have it for a whole day, but probably and early shut down that day. I'd think Disney would already have it marked as closed if it was all day.

What? Only $215 million? Their not billionaires yet? Lol!

Not to add fuel to the fire but it has always seemed odd to me that pass holders were blocked on June 17-19. In addition the Grand Californian has been sold out on the night of June 18th (only) for months. That is not a grad night either.

Of course, June 18th is my Disneyland day. :-/

But I thought it was the 15th that they were allegedly closing it down?

I guess I'll be watching this one as we'll be there that week.

All the reports say the 15th because that is her actual birthday. If the rumor is true then my theory is that the actual party is on the 18th.

Why do some people feel so entitled?

LOL There are LOTS of entitled people in the world be they rich or not so rich. Money just makes it easier to be annoying about it. The entitled people are the ones that cut in line for Space mountian or brow beat poor CM's when they don't get their way.

We were there for the Mariah Carey vow renewal in 2013. They shut down Fantasyland an hour early and certain walkways connected to Fantasyland. The actual party was held after hours. No issues for us.

That however was on a Wednesday in April, when the park closed at 8 pm. With June being summer hours, how would they hold a (2 year olds) birthday party so late at night if they waited for close?

I hope it is a rumor. I understand if they have the money, they can spend the money. (I probably would! Lol) I would be disappointed in Disney for taking the magic away from all the kids and adults that come to visit that day just for one rich family. I would think it would be bad PR for them.

The blockouts and hotel issues may also be due to the big E3 Expo over at the Los Angeles Convention Center. It runs from Jun 16 through 18, which coincides with the somewhat odd AP blockout dates of June 17 & 18 (the Friday blockout for SoCal APs is consistent with the summer schedule).

Edit: Fixed convention center location.

E3 is in Los angeles, not Anaheim.

Oops...you're right...it's at the LA Convention Center. I had the right location in the 2015 Calendar thread, but just read it wrong right now. Still, the dates do match and it's a pretty big convention, so it could also fit to the blockouts.

People, we can breathe again.

UPDATE: Disneyland's Magic Kingdom park in Anaheim, California will be open to the public as normal on June 15, 2015.

...

In a comment sent to the NME, Disneyland have clarified that though private parties often take place inside its parks, it will be open to the public for "a regular business day" on June 15. The statement reads:

"Disneyland will be open on June 15th as a regular business day. Although we don't comment on private visits, private parties are not uncommon here. Please contact the Kardashian/West camp for any info on their plans."
