The rooms come with a coffee pot but I believe they only make one cup at a time. The values don't have coffee pots but we've always brought our own when we stayed there and they've never said anything, so I don't think it'd be a problem.

Actually they make 2 cups at a time with the cups side by side.

Anyone have a link or info about Halloween activity going on at CBR? Maybe it was asked before but I can't seem to find it..I was bummed to see the MNSSHP was SOLDOUT already. So I need to have a plan. TIA

The October Activities Calendar won't be out until October 1st or 2nd, so you'll have to wait until then to find out specifics. In the past they have had pumpkin carving contests, a Halloween Themed party at the pool, Characters have been there, kid friendly ghost stories around the campfire and a Halloween Themed outdoor movie.

Thanks I was a bit bummed but looking for the positive..I can imagine how crowded the park will be so we'll do the resort hangout which sounds fun nonetheless.

Anyone hearing anything about Illuminations in late Sept/early October? I was looking at this (http://www.thedibb.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=835236) since my 60 day window is soon, but I'm confused about why there would be FPs for Illuminations for most of August/September, but then not all those days?

I'm not actually planning to get a FP for Illuminations, but I'm worried that it might be down for some reason while we are there... which would make me so sad. Right now we are planning on going on DH's 40th birthday!
I wonder if it has something to do with the Illuminations Dessert Party? I don't know where the area is for the dessert party, nor do I know for sure where the FP for Illuminations sets up.

I'm wondering if it has anything to do with F&W? Doesn't that start around that time?

I like that idea... much better than my worried brain was thinking! This is trip #2 to WDW for us and we didn't get to do Illuminations last time - so really want to see it this time!

31 days out for us!!! Getting so excited! First stay at CBR in King room! Thinking about getting the refillable cups! First time getting these but we drink so much coffee and soda while there I think it will be worth it for us! Staying for 4 nights/5 days and doing a resort day as well!

Actually, the rooms at CBR are bigger than the other moderates. CBR rooms are 340 sq. ft. and the other moderates are 314 sq. ft.

I have read several places that this is a "myth". Josh at easywdw said he actually measured several rooms and they are 314 and not 340. Touring Plans also lists the rooms as 314. I have never been there and measured, and I have seen both numbers thrown around, but Josh actually measured the rooms. I'm not sure which is accurate.

I am highly considering this resort for our fall 2016 trip. But I'm scared. We have only stayed in larger suites for our disney vacations. We have stayed in a single room for a couple of 1 or 2 night trips to other places(Kennywood, Great Wolf Lodge, etc, and we did fine). Question for people that are used to spreading out and then staying here in a single room-is it hard to adjust? I feel like we might feel too crowded. We are 2 adults and 3 kids and it will be for 9 nights. We don't hang out in our room, we do parks all day, every day, and only eat, hang out for an hour before sleeping, then get up and go. Did you find it really that big of a deal to come down in space???

We're a family of 5 - our boys are 14, 12 and 8. We've stayed at Port Orleans for 8-10 nights, and Paradise Pier for 7 - in one room both times. We basically use our hotel room to shower and sleep, so it's never been a problem.

One thing that has helped us immensely is to unpack + organize. We bring hanging cube organizers for the closet and unpack all of the kids clothes into them. We also take a popup hamper to corral the dirty clothes. We designate a spot for things like shoes + their backpacks + things like mickey hats, and stack the suitcases in a corner and basically forget about them. We're thinking we might get some cheap cloth bins for the shelf at the top of the closet for the next trip, too. Yeah, it takes up some suitcase space, but it's totally worth it to have a place for everything in the hotel room. And it makes the room feel less chaotic!

The other thing is that we break up the showering into a night shift and a morning shift.. it helps alleviate the morning pile up in the bathroom.

-----FYI-----

DIS member @coolbrook just posted that their daughter is a CM at CBR and said the Pirate Themed rooms are in the process of getting queen beds!!! They are cutting out the sides of the beds, removing the platforms and just leaving the ship headboard to allow for the bigger mattresses and bed springs.
Yea!!!! Now can try that one day!!

Oh no......I'll have to check mine.....I'm pretty sure my 7DMT is for close to 5pm so mine should be ok, don't you think?

I love the smell of that soap....so I will leave my B&BW shower gel at home this trip.....also, love the MM heads on the shampoo/conditioners.....disneyland resorts have gotten rid of those lids. :(
It seems everything that is 5:30 -6:30 and before is fine. They just killed everyone on the 6-7 slot. :(

I love the smell and the heads too. :)

For MNSSHP, I have read elsewhere that FPs ending at 6:30 or later on party nights are getting changed. Probably trying to get non-party folks out sooner!
I rescheduled one of mine for 5:30 -6:30 and it is fine. Later got the axe.

I'm sorry if this has been asked before. I've been searching the threads - but does anyone know of any of the CBR rooms have microwaves?

Jonna

I didn't measure it, but I didn't notice any size difference between CBR and CSR. If there is one, it's minimal.

I noticed that you can request Trinidad North on the on-line check in room request. I checked it off, then realized it was preferred and when I try to uncheck it, it is greyed out and wont let me do. Hopefully, if I by some strange reason get put there, I don't get charged the up charge fee. Has anyone else made this request and had it granted. I honestly don't need preferred at all-otherwise I would have payed for it.
Thanks!
Jen
