Official thread to keep track of GTY cabins ASSIGNED

PAMomofOne, my DD#2 has had pretty awful motion sickness since she was very small. I actually prefer aft for her if we aren't midship. IMHO it is much preferable to forward. Just my 2 cents…. I think you'll be fine. Enjoy![/QUOTE

Thanks so much for the response! That makes me feel a little better!

#4. Are you happy with your assignment or do you feel like you got a "leftover"- undesirable room/location? We were actually looking forward to the two porthole seat in the 8A category but this is our first time cruising so I dont know how I feel about having a veranda yet. We have two toddlers so it's a bit scary.

I wouldn't worry too much. You can lock the verandah door and the balcony guards are high enough. Even I (5'4") would have a hard time going overboard.

It's a fantastic upgrade.

I have a quick question. I booked a 9B GTY for a cruise that takes place in June of 2016. I logged in and saw I had a room number. Should I count on this being our room or is there a good chance it will be changed? From everything I have read it seems like this would be very early to get a room assigned. Thank you!

I was told on this board that most of the time, once a room is assigned to you, it usually doesn't change.

After we were assigned we were able to move our cabin as long as it was within the same category.

You are paying for at least a 5E. Disney reserves the right to upgrade you at their leisure. (And yes, 4E is an upgrade according to them.)

If the 4E balcony is smaller than the 5E (is it? I booked 5E without knowing what I booked, I chose this one because it was the least expensive verandah room category available), why is this considered an upgrade?
