Clip-on "Magic bands".

I happened to email guest services begging for them to make some alternative to the magic bands that you don't wear on your wrist. I specifically said I would be willing to buy a keychain version. I've never worn anything on my wrists and had too many close calls with the roller coasters and almost loosing my band that I've just had enough of these..

I got a nice phone call back and they left a voicemail that in part had:

"I do know that our design team is looking into a possibility of having the Rf Technology in another form similar to what would be a clip on type form not specifically key chain, but another form that they are looking into so your input in your letter is something that we do look at it."

I was going to suggest having the magic band implanted in your neck, but it would be a literal pain in the neck to have to bend down and touch your neck to the tapstiles and FP+ entrances.

Perhaps have it implanted about 3 feet up your body so you can just bump your hip to it. :-)

Meh. I just put it on my purse strap. You could put it thru a belt loop ( if you're tall enough.)

A clip on? Clip onto what?

Don't they let you get the old style cards anymore? I personally love the ease of the magic band but falling off - eek. That's no good.

Yes they DO have a card option..old style just ask at resort desk!

They sale 2 key chains that are specifically designed to put your magicband on. One is a Mickey hand and the other a Minnie Bow. They use to retail for 14.95. Not sure what they are going for now.

Do you not wear clothes when you're in the park? Clip on to whatever you want, belt, pocket, shirt, bag etc.

Do you mean something with an Alligator clip? Like the clips used for ID tags and such? I've lost so many of those things because they've fallen off or been dislodged by a bag strap or seat belt shoulder strap. That doesn't seem secure enough for me. But it seems like every option has its own set of problems. Even with the old card system we had problems with lanyards.

I'm sure as time passes they'll come up with several options for the RFID system.

It will be interesting to see if they come up with new concepts (or perhaps integrate it into newer phones, etc) but to avoid wrist entanglements you can always keep it in your pocket or on a belt loop or on a backpack, etc. Just be sure it's someplace where you can see/keep track of it because it has your entitlements on it.

It could be, or maybe it will be the style that goes through loops, they are probably more secure than an alligator clip.

I don't like wearing things on my wrist either. So I got a retractable lanyard and connected my Magic Band to that and wore it on my hip. When I needed to scan it, I just pulled it up to the touch point and then let it retract back. But it started annoying me because it stuck out from my body and I would keep hitting it with my arm or it would rub up against things in tight quarters. I eventually just started wearing it, and it didn't both me at all after a while.

Curious, what does "meh" mean? Is it a word? See it used a lot.

Just as it's spelled say "Meh". Just something you'd put in front of a sentence to make it seem more apathetic. Like "meh, whatever" "meh, take it or leave it". "Meh, either way is fine". That's how I mean it anyway.

I have a picture on Rock N Roller Coaster where you can see my magic band in mid-air.

My band has popped off numerous times.. but the last time I had a card before bands I had put it in a shirt pocket. On ToT, I was startled to see my card float up into the air in front of my eyes! I managed to snatch it out of the air.

Do the kids have the same sizes as adults?

The band separates into two layers, one smaller for kids.
