Not sure how I feel about this. :crazy2: The beignets are already so sweet then to add another super sweet element like butterscotch? Yikes! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you that the pumpkin ones are still available this year. We had them for the first time last year and really enjoyed them.

Thanks! I agree!

We always go around Thanksgiving but they switched to peppermint beignets, we didn't want to try those. We had the pumpkin twist at Maruice's in November. It's OK, my husband said he could barely taste the pumpkin. I really hope we get pumpkin beignets after all.

Peppermint is my weakness :) I am only one who doesn't do pumpkin anything

ME!!! I don't do pumpkin anything! Now Gingerbread and Peppermint are a different story! I can't wait for Nov. 1st so I can have my first GBL of the season!!!

1st is 7
2nd is 6
3rd is 4
4th is 5
5th is 3
These are the overall resort predictions
Thank you so much for doing that! That gives me a bit of an idea what to expect, although with Gay Days on the weekend, I wonder if those days will be a bit higher than 6 or 7.

I don't think it's all that accurate anymore but I still think it gives you a good idea of what to expect.. I also think now that the 60th is over crowd levels are going to be getting back to a more normal level as we've seen in the past.

I was pleasantly surprised with the lack of closures on our upcoming "off season" trip. In the past we've had to deal with a lot of the bigger rides being down which also negatively affects how crowded the parks feel. You will be there right after we leave and hopefully the lack of closures will make the parks seem less crowded for you too!!

Mmmm... beignets! I'll add that to my list of things to try, no matter what the flavor! I love making my food list before I go. So far on my list is beignets, cream-cheese filled pretzel, corn dog, dole whip and monte cristo sandwich. What else should I add to that list? Anything I must try?

We just tried the cream cheese filled pretzel in August, and we loved it! I would add a raspberry mickey macaron from the Jolly Holiday to your list! We tried that in august as well, and it was our favorite of the whole trip! Also a must-do for us is the well known turkey leg. My sister had never had one before, and her pregnancy has made her not be able to eat meat without getting sick, so she was not interested in trying it. Well I got one, and she took a bite...after that it was love. She ate over half of it, and said if all meat tasted like that she would still be eating it everyday lol

good luck with your list! I love going with general list of foods i need to rememeber to eat! The only things we didnt get to on our list this time around were the churro funnel cake at HB, the cotton candy lemonade at CB, and the chocolate covered pineapple spear! On my to-do list next month.

Was just reviewing the menus where my reservations are on my upcoming trip and sure enough on the Café Orleans menu under “Halloween time offerings” it says – “Beignets tossed in butterscotch sauce”. You get five of them for $9.

That sounds sticky!

I had the cream-cheese filled pretzel and it wasn't amazing, but I'm glad I at least tried it. My family and I shared a 3-cheese monte cristo and I loved it but my men thought it was OK. (I'm vegetarian so they got stuck with the no-meat option).

I will say get the Matterhorn Macaroon from Jolly Holiday! That's my husband & I's favorite treat! We actually get it to go on our last day in the park and eat it when we get home that night after the long, sad, drive back to Phoenix.

BUMMER. That does sound sticky!

I'm adding all these to my list! :) My husband and I have decided we are going to just buy one of everything to share so we get to try more things but he doesn't like coconut so the macaroons will be all mine!! ;)

Hi everyone! Long time lurker here. I love DLR during Halloween Time!

When MHP had the cavalcade, there were 2 parades at each party. However, be aware that the parade can be rained out. The year we went in off and on downpours, there was only one parade. And that parade was shortened (some characters removed because the costumes couldn't get wet).

Also keep in mind, when it rains or the parade route is wet, the Headless Horseman maybe removed as well. A horse can slip and have some major (even life threatening) injuries. While at the MNSSHP in 2013, the route was too wet so the Headless Horseman was removed from their parade. The rest of the parade went on as scheduled.

A must for me is a Tigger Tail or marshmallow wand if Pooh corner is closed. Also a Dole Whip!! I am looking forward to trying the macaroon, chocolate covered pineapple spear, and chicken from Plaza Inn on our next trip!
I also bring treats home to Phoenix mich311e!!!

Sharing is definitely the way to go! My BFF and I share almost everything we get so that we can try even more things!

I'm kind of beyond excited. I have tickets for a sold out night. How crowded is a sold out night going to be? Are we talking like a regular day 5? Will we have to save a seat forever to even see the parade and fireworks or can we walk up 20 minutes before and still be able to see? I know exactly how to handle and plan my day and night on regular days but I am stressed about doing this right since we only get one shot.
