Very excited to be back in DVC! We bought our first contract in 1999 and eventually built up to 600 BWV points.
Sold the points in 2007 when it was time to put 3 kids thru college. Now the last of the 3 is finishing up so we're buying back in and will hopefully someday be bringing grand kids with us!

@crbruce_us you hear yet? I have not. Day 25. Who else went around 4/16 too? @cuteinnocent

NHLFan passed but not updated, as did owensjro and FatalSports...back around May 2.

So looks like crbruce, me and cute still waiting... not a good sign. Did @HickoryDickory pass? Yes, but also not updated.

No news. I emailed our broker on Tuesday and she told me she hasn't heard anything and to be patient. :sad2: She said there was this one time a contract took 28 days and it passed. I personally think that's an urban legend that keeps us hoping for no reason. LOL

The good news is we are going to Aulani next week! DVC made that possible.
The bad news is we are going to Aulani next week, so while we are there I will be thinking we need more points and how we didn't get them. :mad:

Frustrating. I keep worrying that DH will change his mind and not want anymore points. If we don't pass I want to either offer on a BCV resale or maybe just add 70 direct before DH changes his mind. The thought of another 2-4 weeks on ROFR stinks too. I emailed my broker too. I had told him, when making the offer, that we wouldn't have funds until May 25 and he said the timeline was good such that closing would be after that date. So I thought maybe he wasn't telling me we passed and just sent us on to prepare closing and was taking time since we wouldn't have funds until May 25. But they replied that they hadn't heard and we have until May 16. Uggg.

So have fun at Aulani. We go to WDW on the 28th. Would love to be going to Aulani instead. I've read a few trip reports on Aulani and the pictures are amazing. Looks so nice. Enjoy!

Thank you! We are excited about the trip.

It took me a while to get DH to want more points too. He still wants them even if this fails. I keep thinking direct would be so easy and less stressful but the cost for 175 points is $30k and resale can be less than $20k. We can buy a lot resale points for $30k and don't want to spend that much! We both love Copper Creek/Wilderness Lodge too. I don't know what we will do, but going through this makes me not want the points as much as I did. It's kind-of out of my system until I start dreaming of our next trip and we are out of points.

Well, second time is a charm. Had Boardwalk taken last time, and didn't see another that I really wanted.
So decided to go with SSR. Might not have gotten the best deal, but it was the perfect amount of points, low total cost per point, and a good use year for us.
And, of course, very happy to be done with this part of the process (except for needing 25 point direct add on). :)

A little more than what were targeting (low $90s) - but this contract was just a perfect fit for us, so we took it at asking price. Plus, starting to realize when you are looking at the long term expense of owning DVC, changes in cpp make extremely small impact.

We should be hearing back from ROFR any day now on our AKL contract. This BWV pairs with it --same use year-- and would complete our initial entry into the DVC

BWV (200 pts) is our favorite -- and AKL (160 pts) we really like, cheaper, and also has longer timeline. Wanted multiple contracts to be able to partially sell if needed, and like the AKL timeline to eventually pass down to kids.

I received word today that my contract passed ROFR. I was a little surprised to hear this quick
