Disney's Club Level (CL) Information & Questions

Not club related but thought I would ask here too. I currently have the star wars dessert party booked. Not sure if its worth it. My kids love star wars but can't decide if its worth 250, especially since wr have drinks and desserts in the lounge. I can eat at yachtsman again for that price (well almost lol). Thoughts?

Does the club lounge close at Contemporary or can you grab a beverage after hours ?

No, it does not close. What I don't know for sure is if they clear the fridge of beverages when the close up at 10PM. I don't 'think' they do, but I'm not 100% sure about that. What's in the fridge, if anything, will only be soft drinks, FWIW (no beer or anything like that).

Hope that helps!

Thank you. Hope they leave some drinks in the fridge.(non alcoholic of course) :drinking1I know GF and Poly do. It would be nice if they all did.

We opted not to do the Star Wars Dessert party on our recent trip for the reasons you mention above (drinks and desserts are in the lounge and the price point). If the dessert party served Chardonnay and Sam Adams as the drinks, we might have gone that direction but it seems to be specialty drinks offered only. From what I have read, it seems you are mainly paying for the reserved view.

I cancelled. I couldn't justify the cost. May do it when Star Wars Land opens.

Still struggling getting info for GCH cl. Since we all pop in and out here I thought I'd try to see if anyone has any recent info.

It seems to be similar to GF rpc for offerings but looks like WL.

I did call the regular res # and she said they still have chocolate covered strawberries. Also, the scones are 11-4 which helps with the east-west coast time difference.

I hope to get some pix and info to share and compare when I get back.

We are back from a great long weekend at BWI Innkeepers Club.

Dinner offerings were: Shrimp and Grits, but the chef would serve the shrimp solo if asked. Other offerings were cheese fondue with bread to dip, cheese plate, crustini bread. Wine and beer are self serve from 5 to 7, but the CL staff will get them for you when asked.

Saturday breakfast was similar to Friday. I forgot to mention that I love hard boiled eggs, but the offerings on Friday and Saturday were deviled eggs. Cereal was available upon request both days too (rice krispies, corn flakes, froot loops, and I'm sorry I forget the 4th). Saturday dinner was chicken and waffles and a separate dish of peas and a risotto. They would serve you a plain waffle or just chicken if you requested. Fondue, fresh veggies, bread, cheese were also available.

Sunday breakfast was made to order omelettes with spinach, cheese, peppers, onions, tomatoes, bacon, ham as choices. They would also make plain scrambled eggs upon request. Croissants, breads, bagels and fruit were also available. A bloody mary station and mimosas upon request were also part of the Sunday offerings. Sunday dinner was make your own tacos.

Monday breakfast had hard boiled eggs along with the other offerings mentioned on Friday and Saturday. We finally were able to check out afternoon snacks before our flight which included popcorn, homemade chips, fresh vegetables, chicken salad and cucumber sandwiches, make your own trail mix, cookies, chocolate covered almonds, Swedish fish and lollipops.

We choose Club Level because of the convenience of Breakfast and Coffee, and the convenience of enjoying an adult beverage in the evenings. We feel that the dinner options lately do not reflect our tastes, but also remind ourselves that they are not meant to be a meal. The lounge was more crowded than I have seen in the past but we also had 3 evenings of thunderstorms, so this did not really surprise me and our room was so close that we could take our food, drinks and dessert there easily.

The CL staff was top notch, and we were asked several times if we needed anything or if they could do anything for us. Bottled water was handed out before we could ask for it, and the staff quickly put in a request (which was granted) for a late checkout (noon instead of 11:30). I would not hesitate to stay here again for the 3 of us. The distance to the CL floor and room would cause me hesitation if traveling with my elderly parents again though.

Thank you so much for all the offerings. We can't wait to be back at the BWI this summer. Hope you get to post pictures.

We are back from a great long weekend at BWI Innkeepers Club. Still figuring out some pictures and will post when I can. I will share my thoughts on our stay while fresh in my mind. I did online checkin and anticipated a 9am arrival window on Friday. We flew out of Pittsburgh at 5:30am and arrived to BWI via Magical Express at around 9. Walked into the resort, went to the regular desk who told me "you are early!' but did check us in, asked if we had stayed there before and then sent us on our merry way to the 4th floor Club Lounge with only a map. Thank goodness we have stayed there before because I was quite underwhelmed at our check in experience. When I originally called to add Magical Express to our reservation, the cast member I spoke with asked if we were celebrating anything. I replied "only the end of the school year." She said she would note personal accomplishment to our reservation and we should expect a button upon checkin. Nope! No button, and we never asked for one, but the inconsistency flummoxes me.

We arrived on the CL floor and did not expect a room to be ready but did enjoy the CL breakfast: 2 types of oatmeal, fresh fruit, bagels and bread (with a toaster nearby and many jam, cream cheese, pb, butter options), oj, tomato juice and Dannon Light and Fit Greek Yogurt in Strawberry and Blueberry flavors. My son who loves canteloupe did not care for it with mint sprinkled on it (we all thought it was dill, but turned out to be mint), but he ate his weight full of strawberries. Regular coffee and Espresso options available.

We headed out to the pool after chatting with Lorenzo (who we fondly remembered from 2 years ago and loved that he pretended to remember us. :-)). After some pool time, we checked our carryon bags with Bell services in the lobby and headed out to Hollywood Studios around 11:30. Used our fast passes in DHS and enjoyed our late lunch/early dinner at Sci Fi Dine In Restaurant. We left dinner to a thunderstorm around 4:30 and carefully made our way to the exit of the park (as was our original plan). We bought one poncho for our son at the time. Made it to the exit and realized the boats back to BWI were shut down due to the storm but did catch a bus at Stop 11 as directed with the shut down of the watercraft. Made it to the resort and Club Lounge around 5:15.

:thanks: for the detailed write-up, awesome detail! BWI food always sounds so much better than other CLs!

PS: Nice use of the word "flummoxes" as well. I had to look it up. :-)

Thank you again.

I can upgrade to GF Outer building CL( no DDP) for $240 more than Boardwalk Inn with DDP. It is our 25th anniversary, I think the benefits of being on the monorail alone is probably worth the extra cost? Is the food benefit worth it? Posts above look like the only meal you can really replace is breakfast, we cannot eat tons of sweets so the late evening selections are out.....We will be closing out most days at Epcot for F&W, that is why I booked BW to begin with. But this looks really tempting.....Help please, it has been forever since we have stayed on site.....

We are checking into the CR Tower club on 11/28. A few weeks ago I received a voicemail from DSS (saw Lake Buena Vista pop up on my cell but was meeting with my boss so no way to answer it!) explaining what they could do for us now that our ADR's were coming up. We preferred to book our own since they don't start until 9am -- on a side note we got almost everything we wanted that way!! Late in the evening a couple days later I sent an email requesting that they book an Illumination Cruise, a Keys to the Kingdom Tour, and a Sleigh Ride. I received a phone call the next afternoon from Allie clarifying a couple issues and all events were booked. Then she followed up with an email confirming our entire conversation. She was very nice and efficient. I was very pleased with the process and we are looking forward to our first CL (and, in fact, first on-site) stay! :-)

Well dang, Tower Club is a great way to do your first on-site and first CL stay! I really enjoyed it there in April. Thanks for posting, hope you have a great trip. :thumbsup2

We just returned from a fabulous week - split stay: AKL-CL then BWI-CL. Have done both before, love them both, but totally different experiences!!

I booked WL-CL (arriving 7/17 so it's getting close!) while at BWI and hoping those of you who have experienced Wilderness Lodge's Club Level might be able to give me some suggestions! We are booked in a Standard Room. Are there any "room requests" for location I should make? Thanks for any advice! ;)

Even numbered rooms face toward MK. We were in room 7054 and had a great view of the fireworks. Odd numbered rooms face the courtyard. I gather that these are quieter. There was some construction noise on the ground below our room, but that didn't bother us. I had emailed DSS prior to request a room facing Magic Kingdom.

To confirm your choice is GF SL CL with no DDP or BWI DDP no CL? Is there any way to get BWI CL no DDP. If I was doing the F&W I would stick with the BWI. We did the GF SL many years ago - as much as the food was plentiful we like the BWI much better. We love staying at the hotels on the monorails but not if I was mostly doing EPCOT.

As for picking a room with CL vs DDP we would pick CL every time. We love the idea of not having to go out and get breakfast although we do sometimes. We also love the convenience of the lounge with coffee, drinks and snacks. We often have breakfast there, lunch out and then back for snacks. When having a big lunch - hors d'oeuvres are perfect for dinner.

For your anniversary I would pick the CL room - but try for the BWI CL. I hope that helps.

Thank you for the response! That's a big help! The new DVC Copper Creek will open to guests on July 17th (my arrival day!) so I think it's going to be a busy, busy place! ;)

You're lucky that the south/lobby elevators will be open for your trip, I'm assuming. That was my one gripe last November, especially when staying CL, as you could only use the one north elevator bank. It will make general comings/goings a touch more effecient with the south/lobby elevators open again.

Have fun!

Is there any reason why you couldn't upgrade to BWI CL to be close to Epcot and have the benefits of CL? Personally I think being on the monorail is only beneficial if you are mainly interested in MK.
