Disney's Club Level (CL) Information & Questions

We will be doing a split stay with Contemporary atrium CL and Polynesian GV CL. (4 day/6day)
The first two days at Poly are in a standard room because CL wasn't available. I check every day in hopes that it will pop up but we will be there in 6 days. Anyone ever have any luck with a last minute change like that? It's not that big of a deal but it would be nice to settle in those 6 nights without having to move since we are already splitting with Contemporary. Seems like I had a really hard time with reservations this time around. Not a lot of availability. Also, with the system being out of whack do you think I should call anyway in case it's not accurate? Thanks!!

What a great CL split! I agree with the others to call as CL might be available for those 2 nights, but isn't showing up online ;).

Just snagged a room at BWI for F&W race weekend. This is OT for the thread but if anyone has any logistical details for the run, I'd appreciate it.

I know GADad's wife had a trip earlier this year or last, and I think it was pixarmom who did multiple race weekends so I'll get the search action going.

Any other details welcome!

I'm not a runner but why not try a 5K during F&W right!

I can't help with the run, but wanted to say congrats on snagging a BWI room. Hope you have a great time :wizard:.

Hi all! We are getting ready for our very first stay at the Beach Club :stitch2:- I can't believe it's almost here and we will be there next Wednesday! looking forward to bringing my little guy to the kiddie area with the sand bottom - he loves playing in sand!

Hope you have a great trip :goodvibes.

Hi! I'll be staying at WL the last week of July for my first ever CL experience! So excited! It's always been a dream of mine to stay CL. I turned 40 this year and wanted to do something special for myself. My sister will be going with me and we both love WDW! We already love WL and have there on 3 past trips. I'm just wondering if it will be hard to go back to staying in a regular room after we've stayed CL. Any thoughts?

Congrats on your first upcoming CL stay! CL is nice and we enjoy it, but we don't stay CL every trip and have no trouble going back to a regular room. Our trips are just as great without CL as with it :).

Awesome! We flirted with the idea of doing the F&W half but that's an awkward time of year for us. DW enjoyed BWI as a home base for the Princess Half.... especially the walk-ability to Epcot that evening for a little post-race 'journey' around the world. :drinking1

We are staying at Beach Club one night on 7/8 before boarding the Dream for our cruise on 7/9. We are staying club level at the Grand Floridian when we return for 4 nights. While ironing out the details of our food budget, I realized we would need to cover breakfast on the 9th, so I called today and upgraded to club level at the Beach Club. Now I am really excited to check out their club.. I figure I will get breakfast and spend my morning at Stormalong Bay and then snacks before we leave for Port Canaveral. And I'm thinking we will make it the before 10pm the night before for at least a little while. Woohoo!

Ha. Exactly the plan. It's hard once the kids start getting older and taking them out of school. This is a girls trip to do a bunch of the F&W seminars. You know how APs are enablers. Oh we already have tickets. Oh it F&W. Oh look there's a room at BWI.

Quick (and maybe silly) question for those who have recently been - by any chance would there be chicken nuggets in the club lounge? It seems like this is the only food my DD eats these days -other than PB&J sandwiches! TIA!
I didn't see chicken nuggets when we stayed in February. They did have peanut butter and jelly.

Sounds like an awesome trip! Hope you enjoy both BC CL and GF CL, as well as have a great cruise :boat:.

Disney logic at work ;).

Now that is some REAL Disney CL logic right there. Good work. :thumbsup2

I stayed BC CL for one night last summer and really enjoyed my brief stay. The lounge/setup/location was different than what I was used to at the MK resorts, but I thought the food was excellent and had a ton of variety. I'd like to go there for a longer stay sometime soon.

Have a great trip!

My family is staying BWI CL in august. We have only stayed CL at WL about 5 years ago. WL is so fantastic I hope we are not disappointed with BWI CL. How are the food offerings?

We just got back from a week there.
Oh great! I have a few questions.
1) did you do online check in and get a text/was anyone up front to greet you and take you upstairs?
2) are they providing a text number to contact them if you need anything while in the parks?
3) is there a chocolate bar or something on the bedwhen you arrive (this is a question from my mom lol)

Thank you in advance!

We were at Wilderness Lodge Club last week. We did on-line check-in, they texted us our room number while we were on I-4, and when we got into the elevator a cast member got on with us and said, "you must be the Colagirl party - I was coming to greet you." They did not provide a number for help while we were in the parks, but we didn't ask that either. And, yes, there was a huge chocolate block in the room along with some special pins as a "pardon our dust" for the construction - the impact of which was so minimal I wouldn't have expected/needed that.

1) Yes to online check in, no didn't get a text regarding the room, but we arrived pretty early (12:45pm). No greeter BUT I went up to the "Captain on deck" in the lobby, told him we were CL, and he whisked us right upstairs. DS was quite dazzled. :D Once we were upstairs, they assigned us the room immediately.

2) Yes, they do give you a text number.

3) Ghirardelli on the pillows at night, but nothing on the bed when you arrive. HOWEVER, be sure to tell them you'd like a glass of the Captain's Welcome Drink, and they'll bring it to you immediately. 8-)

Good Morning,
Has anyone stayed in RPC recently? We are staying in August and was wondering if they have the omelette and waffle makers that I have been reading are at some of the other resorts. Also, was wondering what the evening offers have been.
Tia

We were at BWI last week! Chef Redgie (from Flying Fish) cooked up 2 or 3 awesome dishes each evening! Although he's on vacation now (back in his home state of California where his family owns a restaurant!), you will likely see him in August! I'm confident you will NOT be disappointed! :thumbsup2

Well I can say I have gone back. After two CL WL stays and 4 trips later, I am finally returning home to WL CL. There were things I loved about the other resorts, but nothing was the WL CL. Maybe because it was our first onsite hotel? I did like our non CL room at the Poly but DH didn't like having to walk outside to get to the main building to buy beer at night. When I said we were staying at the WL again he asked if we were staying "in a room with the cookies in the afternoon". At first I wasn't going to, but I made some budget cuts and this is my gift to myself for the trip. He doesn't know yet, I may keep this to myself until we get there.

I am going in Sept to celebrate my 40th with my sister (oh yeah and we are bringing our families for some reason tehehe). I would love to do a sisters only trip. We would be in heaven. We did a one day trip together once in 2001. So much fun.

Enjoy your trip

Thank you :-) I am really looking forward to the Beach Club. We have never had enough time in Epcot to venture over to the Boardwalk area, so it will be new to us. We arrive at about noon on Saturday so we can check everything out. We'll go to Epcot that evening to use our Fastpasses. We always end up at the MK resorts because that is where DH & DD like to spend most of our time, so this is a super nice opportunity to try something different.

Hi there. My RPC stay is pretty stale at this point (Feb 2016). I was at SL in April and they had the Mickey Waffles one morning. At the time they told me they were experimenting with different 'fresh' offerings and were going back/forth between RPC/SL every few days or so.

Someone over on the GF thread just posted about their RPC stay, which may be helpful. It's one of the most recent RPC reviews I've read. It's here: Disney's GRAND FLORIDIAN RESORT & SPA + VILLAS Information & Questions

Hope you have a great trip!
