In your opinion what is the most overrated thing in WDW?

I'm guessing It's Tough to be a Bug

Well, if I were doing my AK list that for sure would be on my LOVE LIST.

Just saw my boy a few weeks ago. :lovestruc

Picked a seat right close to him.

No one praises Tony's so it can't be overrated.
Ha! True but not many people praise the Tiki Room in the last couple of decades or half of the other stuff in this thread, so I figured it just turned into another I don't like...__thread.

Pandora. All of it. Disney spent a ton of money and effort on something that there was no demand for. Harry Potter and Star Wars have huge followings. There is a demand for those environments. If you frequent the many conventions around the country, there is virtually zero Avatar presence. No one cares about Avatar. People only care because it's something new.

I went through a list of things in my mind trying to pick one for this thread and then realized my list was more things I don't like than necessarily things that are "overrated" per the OP's original question? But what exactly does over-rated mean? Almost everything in WDW is held in high esteem by enough people to be considered as a candidate for being called overrated? So many things I could list but I've never understood from day one when the dining plan came out how people went for it so my answer is the dining plan.

What I think is overrated: FEA

(Really find Tiki boring as well, but wouldn't say it was overrated as many agree that it isn't very entertaining. Nostalgic, yes, but boring too).

To be fair, I have not heard the masses singing its praises yet. It's not attracting the crowds that Disney hoped for. Not sure it's overrated yet.

But I agree there is NO broad appeal.

Be Our Guest dinner and lunch and please don't ban me for this: the fireworks in Magic Kingdom. Haven't see HEA yet, but I wasn't impressed by Wishes or Hallowishes. Never understood why people like this so much.

I'm saying the Bippody Bobbity Boutique.

I feel like such a small percentage of visitors must do that that it can't be overrated.

I mean...has anyone actually done that twice?

I'm going to add Star Wars to my list. I know, I know. Cash cow and people apparently line up super early so their kids can be Jedi. But it just happened at the wrong time for me. I'm over it. I still will watch the original trilogy (I mean, young Harrison Ford) but the franchise was pretty much dead to me more than a decade ago.

I'd say buffets, but Americans love a good buffet, so I understand why those are popular.

OMG I laughed so hard when I read this because this is PRECISELY why I'm staying at the Poly this August. We used to go to WDW a lot when I was little, but since we had close family in the area we never stayed at any of the resorts. Oh how I longed to stay at Poly because to my eyes it was the embodiment of the Hawaiian Brady Bunch episode which I was obsessed with. Never got to stay there until now. Funny how we both made the same association but for me it's a plus!
me too! Growing up in FL, we always passed it on the way to the MK, and I always wished to stay there! So 20 years later, our family stayed there in December, and we're going back same time this year! It does feel Brady Bunchish, but it definitely smells so much better than a Hawaiian resort from the 70s.

My most overrated would be Jungle Cruise. Actually, we saw Jingle Cruise, and it was just as bad. I have to add BOG dinner, too.

And I know many will likely disagree...but IMO I don't understand the hype with 7DMT. I do try to ride it as many times as possible. I think it is really cute, but I really prefer BTMRR.
