5:30 am here and the neighbor across the street is out mowing the lawn with a very loud electric mower.
On a Saturday! :mad::mad::mad:

What does your neighbor do that annoys you?

I live on a really quiet street with the exception of ONE house. They are out all hours of the night, yelling at their kids(who are riding their bikes at all hours of the night). They fight, their house is an eyesore... Just trashy in general.

What does our neighbor do that annoys me? Oh goodness, don't even get me started!! :)

We live out in the country so most houses are few and far between, but we do have ONE neighbor across the road and a bit east of us. They are so annoying! The man has been married before and they were pretty much okay when his other wife lived there. Their kids were teens and no problems and they didn't have barking dogs.

She left him, he was alone for awhile, but a couple years ago another woman moved in. She has two daughters, maybe 10-12 years old. Then later we saw an older girl with them but not sure if she lives with them full-time or not. But the very first DAY her dog came running over here. Rather than walk over here (it's less than a city block away) she actually got into her car and drove over here calling her dog's name all the while. It would not listen to her. Kept running away. She finally drove home, then sent her two daughters over here to retrieve the dog. It didn't bother me too much, but it became a regular occurrence, and it would go into our big tool shed and there are things out there a dog shouldn't get into that could cause harm, or death (rat poison for one) so I didn't like it going in there. The girls would always say "sorry" when they had to come over and get it, but finally the last time I told them the next time it happened I might call animal control about it. They started doing a better job of keeping it in their own yard as it hasn't been over here, that we know of, in a long time thankfully.

They now have a toddler there too, I don't know if they adopted him (he's black) or it's the older girl's kid or what. But he and the younger of the two little girls are screamers. They can't play outside without constantly screaming. It's bad enough that when the kids are outside playing I don't want to sit on our deck that's on the east side of the house.

The man mows his lawn almost every night...for about 20 minutes. It's not a huge lawn, he could get it 100% done in an hour or less. But no, every night the mower starts up around 8:00 and he'll mow for just about 20 minutes. Annoying when we're on the deck. But at least he doesn't mow at 5:30 a.m., like the OP's neighbor did. Wow, that is really rude to do it that early. :(

Last summer the woman, or the older girl, would play music in their car every afternoon, and leave the windows down so they could hear it. If I was out walking, or if we drove by in the car we could see them sitting on their deck, on the steps. No chairs, just sitting on the steps, for hours listening to their music. The base was loud enough that we could hear it, INSIDE our house, WITH THE WINDOWS SHUT!! I am not one who likes confrontation so I never went over to ask them to turn it down, but I really wanted to. But I worried they would retaliate and do something worse so I just put up with it but I was glad when cold weather came and they stopped doing it. They've only done it a few times this summer so not that much of a problem. Last summer it was almost every weekday afternoon, but never when the man was home. Only when he was at work.

They must have had company the other day because there were TWO dogs, barking non-stop. A deeper bark which I thought was their own dog, then a shrill yappy bark that must have been from the visitor's dog. It went on and on for an hour. I finally shut the windows.

They have free range chickens, occasionally they have come over here. They are constantly being hit and killed in the road. :(

I'm looking forward to winter. :)

I don't know but I think I annoy my neighbours just by existing, as our house was empty for 9 months before we moved in!

My neighbors across the street: very nice people, they keep their yard immaculate (which around here means "no cars up on blocks or rotting deer carcasses"), they wave when they see us, they support some of the same causes I support (according to the woman's Facebook posts), and so on.

But the guy owns some sort of vehicle that he races. Bigger than a go-cart, smaller than a midget car, I don't know what you'd call it (@Gumbo4x4 help a brother out here). Every now and again he'll bring it out of his garage and tinker with it, which involves revving the engine - and you can hear it from three counties away. He'll rev it, then rev it again, then rev it some more. One day this went on for like two hours. Mrs. Homie was babysitting kids at the time and they couldn't go down for their naps. I was this close to going across the street and giving him a piece of my mind, but Mrs. Homie stopped me.

Micro-Sprint? They look like a Midget, but smaller & they're powered by 600 CC motorcycle engines.

We must live near each other because this is the biggest problem in our neighborhood.. The guy lives behind our house, and there is only a small patch of woods separating us. I can here him revving the engine constantly and then he goes up and down both our street and his own, usually anywhere from 9-11 PM. It drives me bananas.

There is also a woman who walks her dog without a leash all the time. The dog seems to like our yard a lot (I guess it's because of our dog, well 2 if you count our roommates dog). The dog takes off anytime it's near our yard and she always has a hard time catching it. The worst part? She walks it down the main road near our house, and we get a lot of traffic due to a park that's adjacent to our house. It's a main thoroughfare and I'm honestly surprised that it hasn't gotten run over yet.

My neighbor across the street likes to use his pressure washer or his leaf blower. In his front yard and driveway. All day long. ALLLLLL day long. I don't say anything but he is the first to complain about the dirt bikes behind him and calls the police continually. The noise bothers his dogs. Seriously, he is a pill.

And then the folks next door to him are deaf. I mean they can hear, but they think you need to bellow to be heard. So they are constantly yelling at each other. They walk every day and now he walks with a towel over his head, but I think I may be responsible for that. He is the one that sold the town out on a suit against a company so we are going to be blessed with a strip mine just behind us that has the potential to destroy our lakes and aquifer, as well as change the water table for our wells. He is going to be served because now he needs to pay back over $75000 that was sent in his nae fighting this, and we are waiting to catch that encounter on video. Anyway, he tried to talk to me and I told him I was not home. "Oh, Linda, she is teasing you!" "No. I am not home to you, keep right on walking!" Anyway, they are amusing when they bring home their camper and try backing it up....I watch.

My nextdoor neighbor has a trampoline right at their property line which is next to our property line. Technically it's supposed to be behind their house not visible from the street (and it currently is visible from the street) but it's not worth it to us to call the HOA on them. It's been there since before our house was built.

Anywho our great room (aka family room) has 4 windows (2 are crank out) and that happens to be really close to the trampoline. Unfortunately when the kids are jumping on it it makes a very annoying noise. Not to mention every now and then the girls will sit on the trampoline and play music--too loud as well where I have to crank the volume up on the TV loud so it drowns out the music. Those neighbors are also the most active people I've ever met. They are constantly coming and going (they have 4 kids) and that's not the annoying part it's the constant closing of the car doors.

They are good nice people so we really try to not let it get to us.

We live in-town, in a rural university community. Six members of the football team have leased the house across the street for the upcoming academic year. So far there have been 3 afternoon/evening, outdoor parties. It's summer, so I'm willing to be lenient (DH and I both teach- I don't work in the summer and although he does, his time/schedule is his own). We'll see what happens when school starts...

My neighbours 3 doors away are currently having a party that's so loud I can hear them inside my house with the doors and windows closed. GGGGAAAAHHHHHH!!!

My neighbors are slobs. There is garbage all over the place and it blows on my lawn. I once watched as one of them opened their car door, stuff spilled out and they never picked it up. It was there for days. 5 people live in that house and not one of the lazy SOB's could bend over and pick it up. I can't imagine what the inside of the house looks like :crazy2:

I'm very thankful right now that the worst of the neighborhood issues is the neighbors who think they own the street and get bent out of shape over who parks where.
I must say in all our years, various neighborhoods, we have always had pretty good neighbors.

5:30am with the lawn mower is extreme - 7-7:30 if it is really hot would be my limit
