Disney's Club Level (CL) Information & Questions

Tomorrow morning we will be starting our anniversary trip at CR Tower Club...can't believe it's finally here!! I have started a dining report, but I am happy to answer any questions while we are there! With just DH & I, we are cramming a lot into this week, but I am so excited for it all.

Somnia-we were the same as you about club level. Going to splurge our third trip and try it once...........12 years later we are still going every year, stay BWI club level only, and now do a minimum 10 night trip. 2018 will be 12 nights. There is no going back

We are here now and the Lounge is Fantastic.

We just returned from BWI CL yesterday. We had an amazing stay. Our room was nice, in good shape. The lounge offerings were first rate, especially in the evening. I was sort of thinking of booking Yacht Club next year, but after our latest experience we will go back to BWI CL.

LOL It's still me - with a new signature! I haven't been on the CL boards in a couple weeks and I'm already erased from the 1st page, so I thought I'd pop my head in!

YES, we bought DVC!!!! I will truly miss CL, but we'd like to possibly start taking 2 trips a year, and it just seems like a great option for us! My husband has been talking about it for over a month now. The only reason why I was holding back was because of club level! While I will miss it, I'd rather have more trips a year.

So we're definitely going to enjoy every minute of our YC CL stay in November and then ride off into the DVC sunset after that!!! LOL

We are DVC members too and absolutely love it, best purchase....ever. Just FYI, you can have it both ways, AKL has 5 DVC, CL rooms. We own there so we can stay CL, it's actually how we caught the CL bug. Now we do both. Sometimes CL, sometimes DVC. You can even rent your points out, super easily and pay for your CL stay. I will tell you this, I'm 100% sure that you will buy more points, it's more addicting than CL! Congrats!

LOL I know you're joking - but I was starting to think I might need to change my screen name to Regina George!!! LOL I was getting a "You can't sit with us!!!" vibe for a moment there!!!!!!

I hear you about worrying about the kids growing out of Disney and I truly hope that never happens. We'd love nothing more than to give them the DVC some day and they eventually take their own families!!! We truly hope we started a great tradition with them! (My DD went for the first time at 2 (she's 9 now) and DS went for the first time when he was still in my belly!! and we haven't looked back! (he's 6 now!) There's nothing that could replace Disney trips for us! If you ever change your mind, you could always sell it if they don't want it!!!

And thanks! We've stayed WL CL 3 times and just absolutely fell in love with the Lodge the very first time we walked in (and saw the tree for the first time!!!!) The ONLY reason why we didn't go the past 2 years is because of construction! So we haven't been back since, so we're really excited to stop by and see all the new stuff in November!

Reconsider the "DVC Dark Side!!!" It might be worth it!!!!!

Ok, now I'm regretting my choice of words above. I want you to know I truly was kidding and didn't mean anything negative by it, just a dumb statement. I'm sorry!

I tell you what though.... the Poly Bungalows have never really appealed to me all that much, but for whatever reason those WL cabins really do! They look so cozy! I haven't followed it that closely... do you know if the points per night are in the same range as the Bungalows?

We have booked one of the TP view king rooms, I will make sure to take pics of the room & views. We stayed 1 night in Tower Club last year, in a queen room, and loved it...can't wait to be back!
I will let you know Monday on the croissants

That's awesome!! So happy to hear how much you enjoy it! I had heard about AKL CL and DVC awhile ago. From what I understand there are only a handful of rooms and unless you own, it's nearly impossible to get at 7 months! I wish they'd do the same with the other CL's or do a separate lounge! I'd definitely use more points, so worth it! LOL

LOL you totally don't know my sense of humor- but I'm laughing every time you type!!! NOTHING to be sorry about! Really!!!!!!! But all the "Darksiders" seem to be coming out of the woodwork... you might be outnumbered now!!

CC cabins actually require less points!! Aren't they beautiful?!?

Welcome home!! We love our DVC also and have used our points at Aulani and Hilton Head for some of our trips as well as WDW. So when that happens we end up "squeezing" in CL trip or two to get our fix! We just can't stay away

Aulani was amazing. Hilton Head was also one of our best vacations. The cast members and resort were outstanding. That is what we love about Disney. Enjoy your DVC!!

We'd definitely like to try HH on the ride down one year! We stop overnight, usually in S. Carolina or Georgia, so that would be perfect for us!

Leaving in just hours for the GF Sugarloaf, first CL stay. We loooove the YC CL, please tell me I going to love this one too. I just can't get excited for some reason.

The way I look at things (and admittedly I only have one SL trip under my belt to form this opinion), when I'm going to GF SL.... I'm more excited about going to the GF itself vs SL specifically. That's different than I feel at some other places, like Poly CL for example, where I go in totally looking forward to CL there and it's more of an integral part of the stay for us. That's not necessarily a bad thing, it's just different.

Things I like about SL... location, location, location. Just steps to the Courtyard Pool (which is my preferred pool to be honest), close to the boat dock, close to Gaspy's. Close to everything frankly. Of course you have all the typical CL conveniences, and generally speaking the variety and quality of GF CL food is among the best of the CLs. I believe they've also been rotating a chef between SL and RPC every other day or so preparing something fresh. In April, we had Mickey Waffles one morning, and a special afternoon snack being prepared a few days later. Not sure if that's still going on though.

I also went into our SL trip with a bit of anxiety/lack of excitement. Not going to lie, I didn't end up loving it as much as I wanted to, but that's why I turn my focus to the other wonderful parts of staying at the GF... the great recreation, the pools, the restaurants, the walkability to Poly, etc, etc. It's the GRAND after all... and SL, while not perfect (none are BTW), gave me just enough CL fix to be a nice addition to the trip.

Hi all.
Not been on this thread since last year when we planned and had a fantastic stay at AKL club.
We are staying WL this year(not club) but free dining.
I am pondering booking a night at the poly when the kids are in lilo club.
The only rooms available are 1 bed suit- club in the tonga building.
We would arrive at the poly around 4pm and check in.
Can we use the club facilities the next day after check out? We have dinner at Ohana booked at 5 on check out day so I would imagine a lazy morning/ afternoon by the pool. I would want to pop to club in the afternoon?
Any views on tonga building? From reading it looks like the lounge is in another building.

I have always wanted to stay at the poly- it's expensive for one night but sure it would be fab!!
