Aye or nay?

Not as the main course, but as one of the sides.

DD says she wants it, but I've never served it before on Turkey Day. Nor have I ever been to anybody's house who served it.

I know it's popular in some areas.

DD can bring it over. Hopefully she'll make a "real" one, not Kraft from a box.

Why not? It's all about comfort foods. Mac & cheese is definite comfort food.

I am thinking about making it. I think it goes well. Especially if you'll have ham.

Why not!
Everything doesn't have to be the classic, American, turkey and dressing.

Marchand - now you have to give us your recipe!

I always make a basic Mac and Cheese, with butter, oil, milk, good Deluxe real american cheese, and shredded cheddar(s). Plenty of salt and a dash of pepper.
Sometimes a bit of flour, or a sprinkle of mustard powder... Especially if I am going to top it and bake it.

Always homemade and on my Thanksgiving table. My kids are not fans of traditional dressing, so I have both.

Usually, about 20 people are here for thanksgiving. It's more about the sides and, desserts here than the turkey. Turkey is for sandwiches later in the week.

:rolleyes1 It would be a "no" from me, but only because I'm super-rigid and my holiday dinner menus are sacrosanct. :rotfl2:

If somebody else brought it though, I'd politely put it on the table {{sigh}}. Remember that fun thread about the noodle salad, Red? :woohoo:

I,do make one plain for holidays but do the lobstah one for occasions. Just did one for my Uncle's funeral. RIP, 94,& awesome til the end.

My SIL (the hostess) always makes her slow cooker mac-and-cheese. Good thing, too, as I see my toddler's recent mac-and-cheese kick lasting until well after Thanksgiving
