What is your favorite CET (Caesar's Entertainment) hotel?
What do you like about it?
What don't you like about it?

We usually got good rates at New York, New York. But our last time there, we rode the elevator with a punk guy, taking prostitutes up to rooms. That was terrible. You think it happens only in beat down hotels, but nope.

We had a nice room at Bally's. Jubilee room, high floor overlooking the strip south. Clean, updated room with refrigerator. Convenient to visiting other hotels up and down the strip. Not a tremendous amount of restaurants on property, but that's also part of where their convenient location comes in. With a bit of a walk or a monorail ride you can be at another hotel fairly easily.

Just spent a couple nights at Harrah's and had a great time. Tried the $20 trick and got upgraded to the remodeled tower, and got my $20 back.

Can't say anything bad about any of them, but have yet to stay at Caesar's. Have had no problems with Harrah's, Linq, Flamingo, Bally's, or Paris. The main thing is location...being center strip. We kind of lean towa rds Paris or Bally's due to proximity to Ellis Island, but none of them are that far away.

Fav: Caesar's Palace
Like: Plenty of shopping & eats. Location: It's wedged in-between Bellagio's Fountain & Mirage's Volcano. Making it easy to walk up the strip one way or walk down the strip the other way. It's also on the left side of the strip where you can use the free trams to resort hop. There's the Citycenter tram (Bellagio/Citycenter/Monte Carlo), Mirage/Treasure Tram, & Excalibur/Luxor/Mandalay Bay Tram (southbound route doesn't stop at the Luxor)
Dislike: Crowded during the peak season and the buffet line is Super LONG!

I don't know if it's relevant, but I never cease to be amazed at the quality of the MGM Grand.

Besides, ALL Vegas mainstream hotels on the Strip or around are fantastic quality especially for the money. From what I understand the casinos subsidise them.

Are you able to recommend a tower or room type for OP? Sometimes people request different buildings at various Disney resorts for certain reasons, but in LV those kinds of recommendations can be much more important. Caesar's has long been a part of Vegas, but what a lot of people might not easily recognize is that while the changes to the resort over the decades are apparent outside, the changes over the years often just put new dressing on rooms built in the sixties. The resort has built up much closer over the years to LV Blvd., but the buildings of the sixties are still part of the vast resort. It doesn't mean the older towers are necessarily bad, but the tower you're in can easily affect the size and arrangement of your room -- and how far you may have to walk simply to get from your room out to the strip.

Paris is good- we like it there, Ceasars is would be the best. Flamingo, good location but aged. Ballys, too much walking. Harrahs and Link have good prices but would not be a top pick.

I highly recommend the Augustus Tower Premium King. It's the closest to the strip & hotel lobby. Room has a spa tub, walk-in shower, and it's 650 Sq. It's an awesome deal during non-peak season the week after the 4th of July to the last week of August.

I'm a night owl who travels for work and has for more than 15 years, you'll see this everywhere...including WDW. It most certainly happens in the nicest hotels.

I was talking to a vegas bartender once. He said as long as they dress nice, they do not bring attention and if they play the slots, they will not hassle them. I thought the part about the slots was pretty funny. I would say there are a lot more in the top hotels

Golden Nugget.....the Shark Pool was awesome but the location was perfect!!!! Fremont Street at night was fantastic but in the morning it was perfect, too. So close to many other neat casinos! :thumbsup2

I normally don't stay at the casino and hotels but stay at Marriott Chateau Grand behind Planet Hollywood. I love the quiet of no casino, free valet parking, and suite instead of rooms.
However, we are taking my ex step dad as a big life dream (bucket list item) and his wife to Vegas. We are staying at Planet Hollywood with views of the fountains and the nightlife.
I wanted options of shows, late night gambling and restaurants all in one building for everyone.

We just returned last week. We stayed at the Bellagio with fountain view. We toured Several resorts and I was under whelmed with Caesars Palace. I just didn’t see the appeal. Golden Nugget left little to be desired as well other than if you want direct access to Fremont. I could see
My 23 and 25 year old liking Golden Nugget as they drink and gamble
And would sit at an outside bar and people watch on Fremont. I was impressed with Venetian.

We didn’t go to gamble we were celebrating my 16 year olds birthday with a family trip.

We’ve stayed at Treasure Island, New York New York, and the Hilton Condos which is in back of the Flamingo.

I thought they were all nice.

My favorite CET property, per your question, is Caesars Palace. We absolutely love the rooms—Palace Tower Premium Studio is my favorite. Two bathrooms, great views of the pool, separate sitting area, tons of space. The Augustus and Octavius Towers are new and very nice as well. It’s an absolutely massive hotel. We don’t mind walking, but it could be a 15 minute journey to the strip depending on where your room is. I know that’s a deal breaker for some.
We also love the pool and think the pool quick service has really fair prices for really really good food.
The whole decor and overall vibe of the resort is just fun and classy.
The buffet is amazing but pricey. Probably my only complaint about the hotel is the lack of moderately priced table service restaurants. The quick service options are great, but sometimes you want to be waited on but not spend $70 for breakfast.

CET - stayed at Caesar's Palace for a friends wedding (3 bedroom suite). We enjoyed the pools, but am not sure if they still serve the free frozen grapes. Flamingo was way too much, well, neon for our liking. The pool area was very nice though.

Non-CET (in order of personal preference) - Bellagio, Golden Nugget (only the Rush Tower), Luxor, TI, Orleans (if on a tighter budget).
