Wow, your child cost the same as an adult? I thought kids were always cheaper, no?
I don't think so if there are only 2 in a room. But he will be 17 at sailingWow, your child cost the same as an adult? I thought kids were always cheaper, no?
Just like a single cruiser pays for 2 adults in a stateroom, if there is only one adult in a stateroom, the first child is charged the adult rate.Wow, your child cost the same as an adult? I thought kids were always cheaper, no?

The only reason I don't have a TA, is because I am the planner in the family and I enjoy it so much. I prefer to know all my options and make the choice (read: control) LOL. For example, if my TA gets through to DCL and there are only certain rooms or room types available that weren't in my original request to the TA, then what? They pick for me? I like to do the research, read stateroom reports, etc. and ensure I am getting the best options for me. I know there are plenty of benefits though to have a TA, like certain perks, discounts and most recently the 2-hour hold time on opening day!
Lol,you just described me. I’m in the process of planning 4 WDW trips (dvc member) and have 3 cruises booked for the next 12 months. Believe me, I thought like you, but found out that I never lost control. I still make all my own decisions and excursions. Believe me, my TA has changed my cabins a few times too when I change my mind. It’s all good either way. I get the extra onboard credits, she does all the phone calls and puts in my requests and I’m helping a small business.
As long as the kids are passengers 3, 4, 5, then yes younger kids are cheaper than teens, but not by much. Our 2016 Alaskan cruise, we had 2A, 2C (16, 12)...my 12 yr old was $25 cheaper than my 16 yr old.looking forward to hearing from our DU TA tomorrow....she's tasked with reserving 3 staterooms for us...
if the prices are the same as today, i kind of know what to expect...
the only question - are toddlers cheaper than teens?....the prices i've seen for the cruise we're trying for include teenage kids...
we have three young kids...ages 5, 3 and 1 (14 months to be specific)...
i wonder how they're priced...
