** OPENING DAY PRICING MID 2019: Magic, Wonder, Dream, Fantasy **

Just curious - do travel agents use the same phone line ... and if yes ... can I assume that they can book an unlimited amount of guests (as long they are Silver & above)?

If YES -- this really is a pretty crazy process.

1 hour and 35 minutes on hold .... 'just keep swimming' .... 'arrr smilin' ....pirate:

So, the Costco agent somehow lost my call several times and immediately called back (while she's working on calling Disney). This last time, she hasn't called me back yet. She has my cell and my husband's cell. Is this normal? Should I worry if I don't hear from her for a while/stay on hold with her? She has all of our info.
Oh good, she just called me back! She said that she's been trying to get through, but nobody in her 5 agent pod has been able to yet. She said she will call me back once she gets through to Disney so that I don't have to sit on hold listening to her attempt to call over and over.

According to my TA, they have a different number. Whether that all funnels into the same queue, I don't know.

S Dream 9/16/2019 5A 2A $1905.48 [878.40|878.40] taxes/fees $148.68 no ins/trans/air/grat yes OBB

Husband and I both called. He got put in the queue a few minutes before I did but my call was picked up first. He called the main DCL line and I called the Castaway Club number. Total wait time was one hour and 5 minutes.

Also got quote for the Dream 9/23/2019 sailing - total was about $1940 for category 5A stateroom - didn't have it broken out by person once I heard price, just booked the one we originally wanted.

Good luck to everyone trying to get through :)

So glad she called back! My Costco agent gave me the option for a call back and I took it. Glad they switched it over for you. I haven't heard anything from my agent yet (he did say it would be at least an hour). Maybe they are in the same pod. I'm not super picky about my stateroom, but am hoping the costs don't jump too much while I wait. I guess I won't really ever know if they did since I haven't seen an identical/near identical data point.

1 cordless phone down and 1 cell phone down. busy signal still after 1 hour, 54 min.
Can you call the regular cruise line number and get the Silver booking dates??

Just got off the phone to book. Called right at 8am and got off the phone a little after 9:30am. For those who are still waiting hang in there!

What sailing?

Almost there. My TA just called to check on something because she thought I wanted to stay at my Feb pricing, but I said "No, as long as my deposit - from an initially booked higher cruise - covers it, go for it." I should know something soon!

I put a request in through a DU TA for the first time. They assigned me Jana. I just checked my Disney reservations and it looks like she got through because I see the two dates I asked about listed. One surprising thing is that I requested main seating for dining and it’s showing second seating.

The public day is going to be even a worse disaster than this. I remember spending 3 hours on the phone between Costco and Disney last year on opening day, but at least I was just on hold.

The waiting is nerve-wracking. I had 4 half-second calls from her where it was just a blink on my phone. Now she just called again to let me know she's still trying.

I'm hoping that the prices don't change. We actually went through this last year on Silver opening day (we had summer 2018 booked and intend to book 2019 instead now) and I noticed that the prices I got were the same ones available on the website the next couple days, so gives me some hope they don't change too fast! I'll also have a good reference point on price increases because we are trying to book the same cruise and same category/room (but no OBB discount now, Costco Cash instead - our OBB expires before 2019 summer). We think it's going to be significantly more than last year based on not-quite-exactly-what-we-want reports on here. Hoping after the Costco rebates that we can still make it work.

I know the TA we used was on the phone all day and we did not confirm our reservations until about 9 p.m. last night. My DW was so grateful not to have to stay on the phone most of the day.
