I love credit cards so much!

does his card number and code match yours? if so just cancel the authorized user but continue to use card. if the numbers are the same it will work.

I didn't even think about this when I talked to you earlier. When I SMed Chase to removed DH as an authorized user, I never even told him (he doesn't really understand churning and just lets me do what I want while he runs his eBay business!). He has continued to use the same CSP authorized user card with no issues. Same number.

@Calfan I think I remember reading this works. If the numbers match up, you guys should try it.

Well that is awesome! Thanks, guys. I'm going to double check tonight before doing anything, but I'm 99.99% sure that his cc number and 3-digit security code match mine. I did think about that earlier, but I wasn't sure with the chip technology whether Chase could somehow "turn off" just DH's card. It doesn't sound like it. I guess worst case is if his stops working, I can request a replacement at that time, hopefully online since he will be off as an AU.

its still snowing here I'm an hour south of DC. luckily its not sticking to the driveway. CIP is a great card. plus enjoying the plastiq 3x right now on our mortage while it's lasting :-) chase used experian for my app in sept and dhs in feb.

good luck applying and remember to show some support
thank you!! it is pretty much done snowing now. just wait till it all freezes tonight.

No luck. Right off the bat, I got hit with "did you just call?". It was a different rep, but I guess the prior one had left notes and that threw me off a bit, as it was completely unexpected. But, I gave the explanation that I had a chance to reconcile my cards and disagreed with the count that too many cards had been opened because one of those was a store card. He went ahead and pulled up my file and said that ANY credit card opened under my name would count. I argued a bit and said that I was under the impression that store cards did not count because they could only be used at that store and not like a normal credit card, but he wouldn't have any part of that conversation.

Don't know if this is just a Target thing or if this is a change in procedure, but wanted to make you aware of my experience.

Thanks for all the help.

I believe it is just a Target thing, as someone mentioned above they are issued by a bank, I was at 4/24 when I applied for a home depot card to take advantage of a 0% finance offer on an appliance purchase. I was nervous that it would count against me when I went for my CSP, but I was auto approved, so it must of not counted and this was ~3 months ago.

No Disney GCs at Costco only at Sams & BJs

I was just going to reply with the above, took some time to get through almost 6 pages of this thread!

I got the CIP through a referral from DH. Does he get the 20,000 points right away? His bonus isn't tied to me making MS right?

um question>>>>IT states that can not be used for personal, or household things. not sure what to do with still applying for the CIP... any thoughts

He should see the 20k UR pending in his account either next week or the week after. These kind of bonuses show up usually on Tuesday. They're tied to approval, not you meeting minimum spend.

So I have been a little down in the dumps about the fact that our Hawaiian Air flight had dropped a stinking $141 *per ticket* in the week or two since I booked. Then today I was going through my mileage accounts and checking in and, low and behold, I find 25K Avios in my British Airways account that I haven't logged into since last year when I booked one way of our trip to Oahu with Avios transferred over from Chase. THEY NEVER TOOK THEM FROM MY ACCOUNT! I called to book on the phone and the agent took my card number for the taxes and phone booking fees. I almost tried to get them to waive it since AS flights are not bookable online but I chickened out and agreed to the $68 charge for our 2 tickets. I keep watching my CC the next few days and only a charge for $11.20 appeared from BA so I assumed they remembered I shouldn't be charged that fee...or some random pixie dust or something. We go, we fly. No issues. Fast forward to today when I log in to find my 25k Avios sitting there untouched. I feel a little guilty not calling them but I also feel like calling up and saying 'you didn't charge me correctly in December of 2016' might be overkill.

Churning, always finding new ways to test my moral compass :joker:

All business credit cards have that language. Chase doesn't monitor what you're purchasing with your card, and even if they did there's no way they can determine what is and isn't for business purposes. Besides, you can find a reasonable business justification for almost any expense.

Plan to charge a meal to your business card? "Business lunch"

Trip to Disney World? "Company offsite outing"

Doctor's visit? Your business provides very good medical benefits.

Mortgage or rent? Office space.

wow!! thanks. I was a little concerned. applying now

One more reason is personal credit cards come with a lot of consumer protections that don't all apply to business cards. For most practical purposes, this won't matter at all to you, but banks will insert this language to cover all the bases.

Good luck!

The snow is coming to the chicago area over the weekend which kind if suck for it was going be my shopping day to prep for my vegas trip (i prefer to not drive with non driving people in the snow). However, i don't think we are getting much so by sunday it will melt

Question on Biz SPG...Once I meet the minimum spend, will the points show on the Amex site first or will they go right to the SPG account that I would logon to separate from Amex? What has been the posting time for points after the required spend? I shuffled through a couple of the pages but I didn't see it. Thanks!

My points posted on AmEx the day after my statement closed and showed up on the SPG site the day after that. It was quick.
