I love credit cards so much!

That was me. Sincerely hoping this isn’t turning into a trend... I’m going to try a different Target this weekend but my cashier also was not at fault and the employees there have been very helpful and understanding when I’ve used gift cards in the past.

A second person on the Disney Gift Card thread also reported that it didn't work yesterday. :-(

Sweet! Hey, awesome millenial guy, this Gen X girl here would not have a Twitter or Insta account, nor learned how to do mobile payments if not for travel hacking. I still only use them when there is a bonus, contest or something like that. Otherwise it's all FB for me. I know some of you here have seen posts of my themed nail art on the ABD forum and I think I posted here when we went to London to see the HP play and was sporting HP themed nails. Well, not long ago my nail tech, a very talented nail art millenial , tagged me on Insta with all of her Disney nail art photos that she's done and those she was inspired by from other nail techs. I had no idea because I rarely use Instagram. She told me she did it because she wanted an easy place to find all the photos quickly and she knows I never use it and figured I wouldn't mind  Your post made me think of that.

Ok, here is what I do from my desktop computer. I hit the "print screen" button on the keyboard. Then I open up Paint. Then I hit the Ctrl and V buttons on the keyboard to paste the print screen shot. In the "home" tab of Paint, I click the eraser tool and then just use the cursor to erase sensitive info. Hope that helps :flower3:

Neither do I since I put all my non category spending on the SPG and I knew I wouldn't likely max out 2 Freedoms consistently. I'm keeping the CFU as a backup for non category spend in case a Doom's Day scenario hits the SPG transfer options once the merger is complete. Without the ability to transfer to over 30 airlines and that 5,000 miles kicker for every 20,000 points transferred, the card would be useless to me. In that scenario, I'd switch to CFU for all non category spend.

WooHoo!!! Congrats! We will at BC and F&W this year every weekend from the last weekend of September until the second weekend in November. Would love to say :wave2: in real life if your time and plans permit. Same goes for any of the DISchurners that are in WDW while we are there.

I'm learning how to use my Samsung pay and I'm a baby boomer. (I think.) I've never used Facebook, Instagram or Twitter, but now that I'm retired I may just sign up and learn, especially as I learn to make it work for churning.

Do you think I could downgrade my Hilton to the no fee, when I already have the no fee?

I don't think Amex will let you hold two of the same product anymore (I could be wrong). If you've already got a no fee, your Hilton points are safe since you can just do 1 swipe and reset the clock on them. What do you believe is the benefit of holding two no-fee Hiltons? Are you hoping to get an upgrade offer a year from now? I got the upgrade offer (original no fee to Surpass) so it will be interesting to see what offers happen now that the lineup has been "refreshed."

Then I have a few $100 Target GCs, needed to do a Target run anyway. Get all my crap and 2-$100 Disney GCs, total $299.98. Tried to pay with GC. The register wouldn’t even take the Target gift cards with the Disney GCs in the total. Wasn’t the cashier, I was standing there watching as she attempted to run the GC thru. No dice. Removed the Disney GCs, paid for my junk with a Target GC, then used my RedCard to separately buy one of the Disney GCs for $95. Ugh.

Well, if it's over, I won't be a happy camper either. I had a great run a few years ago, so much so that I've still got Disney gift cards available from that time.

But the last 2 years I've taken advantage of the 10% off Target gift card special and then used those Target cards to buy Disney gift cards - the only way I've been buying Disney gift cards recently. And the way I've told older daughter to stock up on Disney cards for our November Food and Wine trip.

I may run by our Target later today and see if I can buy a card. Still have some Target gift card funds available from December, but only $3-400, which I can use for Target shopping if necessary, but I would have preferred to turn most of it into Disney money.

In the meantime, anyone that takes the time to keep up with that gift card thread, please let us know what you hear, and thanks!

In churning news, I got my $100 Disney Dollars sometime in the last 8 hours! I checked before I went to sleep last night and still a little zero, but just checked now and there they are! My statement with a zero balance closed on the 18th, so 4 days later.

Now if I could only get my son to sign up! (Not going to happen - he is very strong willed against credit cards.)

This particular $100 will come in handy at Hilton Head over July 4th. I like to think of what I can get free: refillable mug for the beach - the one place and time I can make this mug worth it, banana bread French toast for breakfast from Tide Me Over, lunch from Signals while on the beach, souvenirs or Mickey bars from the Mercantile.

I have about $100 in target gc from rewards sites. Like you, I can use them for other things, but then I don't feel like I am really getting the Disney cards for "free."

I might try target today if I have time, I've got $50 in gift cards. Also trying to hit Best Buy today.

Headed to Disneyland for Easter/ Spring Break next year! So excited. I was able to find points plus cash availability for our stay at the Hyatt House at Anaheim Resort which gave me an off the charts redemption value. Rates are $558 per night for our dates and I was able to book it for 6,000 points plus $75 per day. Free breakfast and walk to Disneyland equals major score.
Yay! That's where we're staying in a couple weeks

I am up to 1820 IHG points on the Opinion check in surveys.

Not worth it at all in my opinion, but I am off and on this computer all day long so it's no big deal to play with it when I have nothing else to do. I get between 20-100 points a day, so maybe after a year I will have enough for the cheapest free room!

I usually give them about 10 minutes of my time and then if I'm not getting any points close it up. This morning I got 80 points in that 10 minutes and then it told me I have no more surveys. At first it took forever just to get a survey. Now it gives me a few chances and sends me away fairly soon.

The fun thing is the points are instantly credited to my IHG account, so even if its only 20 points I can see it.

I don't recommend this site to anybody. Way too slow!

I actually think that was someone from this thread reporting the DP from the same poster that had posted originally on that thread and then again over here. If that makes sense.

Might have to try today...

Edit: Nevermind, just saw the second DP. Ugh!!!

We'll be there the first weekend in November! Costs covered with tricks I learned from you guys here, except for park tickets... and I at least used UT for those and paid with our CSP, so I got the 3x travel URs.

HOLY COW, y'all are a bunch of wind bags on here! I leave on vacation for ten days, come home to a mini family emergency that takes a few more days to sort through before I can start catching up on the thread. I left off at page 830 when I flew to WDW and take a gander at what the page count is now that I FINALLY caught up. 991!!! Yes, I had to wade through 160+ pages. This Churning is exhausting work! :rotfl:

My DP on "link points" posting to my CIP are as follows: I signed my dh up for the CIP mid February using my link from my January CIP account opening. The 20k bonus points did not show up until this past week, a full month after he was approved. I was really getting worried I had done something wrong on my first attempt of using my own link, but all is good now. I met my MSR and the points will add to my account next statement. Over 105k UR just waiting for a plan. And dh is over half the way through his spend, so another 85k+ there soon. Woohoo!

Now for my next card...I want the SPG but no way we can do the 7k business spend, and I'm really hesitant to even do the 5k spend. Is my mind playing tricks on me, wasn't there something about a personal SPG for 30k bonus on 3k spend? I have tried clearing my cache and using incognito mode. Any other helpful hints for trying to bring up this offer?

I have no UR's or UR earning cards, but I will in the future. I do have a Hyatt card and Hyatt rewards account, and a use for Hyatt hotel points. Do UR's transfer to the Hyatt program?

Incognito is the way to get that 30k SPG personal offer. You're doing it right, but it can be hit or miss. It's a solid offer, and I'd keep trying ever few days...or every day...or every hour if you're obsessive. Haha! I don't recall your 5/24 status off the top of my head but just keep in mind that SPG personal will obviously add to that (you probably already had thought that through) :)

We are in a one bedroom at Boardwalk Nov 3rd to Nov 9th. DVC points, gas cards I didn't use last week, and various gift cards as well. Tickets I have - an annual pass, babies don't need tickets, daughter has an annual pass from January and son in law has a hopper from UT before the price went up.

Daughter wants to do all sorts of sit down restaurants - I could care less but will go to 'Ohana, and a few others. Guess who gets to make all these reservations?

Nice! Our dates will overlap quite a bit, we're there most of that week, too. We're staying at Swolphin on SPG points (I think I'm one of the few that has the SPG personal, but I did get the 30k offer, so that helped) and have airline loyalty points plus some vouchers from a trip that didn't go super well back in January (props to AA for trying to make it right). We did get our UT tickets before prices went up, and at the time they were running an add a fifth day "free" promo, so we saved there, too. Plan is to upgrade those to a 6-day parkhopper when we get onsite. Our trip is the last time our kiddo will be free, she'll turn three later that month.

AS @SouthFayetteFan suggested, keep trying to pull it up in incognito mode. I found the offer this way, but hesitated and didn't do it. A few days later I went back to do it and couldn't pull it up. It took me a few more tries but it eventually came back that same day. Good luck!

As I was adding up our Marriott points this morning and looking at Hawaii hotels, I showed DH Disney’s Aulani, he had no idea such a place existed. He is now requesting we stay there for a few nights, he has no idea it’s not a theme park, should I tell him? I’m pretty sure he assumes there’s a park.
