Disney's Club Level (CL) Information & Questions

You're welcome! There's just something special about BC that we love - I can't really put my finger on it. For us, the BC resort itself outweighs the CL aspect. However, a resort like Poly is a different story. I don't think we'd be happy staying non-CL there, and I think it's because of the location of the Hawaii building and the views from the lounge and our room. So when we stay at Poly, I think "CL." When we stay at BC, I think "resort."

Hope you enjoy!
I know what you mean. The Poly CL bldg next to the pool - the awesome lounge view - we stayed one night and spent the entire time in the room, pool and lounge. BC stay, I anticipate we’ll want to be exploring outdoors. Thank you!

This is an oddly specific question but I cannot recall the answer. I know CL evening apps are all subject to change but our last trip to the CL at BWI they had the mac and cheese from the ESPN Zone one evening. I am trying to recall which evening it was but my memory is lousy and I didn't keep notes. The only specific menu item that stands out in my recollection is the omelet station on Sunday morning! :)

Thanks,

Dani

I’m debating whether or not to order my DH a birthday cake for our upcoming trip. We will be staying at the Grand Floridian RPC May 16-23. His birthday is on our arrival day May 16th and our plan is to enjoy all there is to offer at the GF.

My question is what are the desserts served club level? DH wants to enjoy them while we are there, but I’m afraid they will not be as special as a birthday cake. What do you think?
I've been at Disney during family birthdays and I've never thought about ordering a cake! I think it's special enough just being there. Get him a birthday button when you arrive either at check in or on Main St in MK.

Individual IPOs were replaced by a new service in early 2017 called Disney Signature Services (DSS). It's effectively the same thing, just a centralized planning office that serves all CL (and select other) guests rather than being resort specific.

Here is contact info:

Disney Signature Services
(407) 939-7777
disney.signature.services@disneyworld.com

Some guests hear from them in advance via a phone call, some guests get a postcard, some get both, some get none of the above! But don't worry, feel free to reach out to them at any time.

Hope that helps.
Thanks very much. Quite helpful.

This might be a silly question but is there a balcony/outdoor area to the BW lounge area? It kind of looks like there's a door in the pictures I've seen but I can't really tell - just curious!

To add to a PP, the top floor in the pic below is the lounge and that’s the balcony.

Honestly, I wasn’t totally sure if you were allowed to go out there. One morning fiddled with the lock to open one of the doors and my DW yelled at me to quit it because I’d get in trouble!! The tables are sort of in front of some of the doors, so it’s a bit awkward.

Hope that helps!

DD and I are staying at AKL CL in August for her 10th birthday for 2 nights. I'm so excited for our first CL stay. The summer discount made it crazy not to take advantage.

Enjoy! We have stayed CL 2xs there and have really enjoyed it. Make time to spend on your balcony watching the animals. It's a great resort! And a nice way to try some foods that you may not always have access to.

I’m very dessert picky and I’ve never found the CL desserts to be all that great. I LOVE CL, just think the desserts are nothing special. I haven’t stayed at GF CL yet so I don’t know if theirs are better than BWI or Poly. If they aren’t I would definitely do a cake. It makes your birthday feel so special :lovestruc

Thanks. I think we'll be spending our non park day at the resort enjoying the lounge and the pool.

Does anyone have an idea of food served at the AKL CL? We'll be there on a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday if that helps.

What can CSS do for me? Does CSS handle room assignment?? I am 120+ days from my trip and I have not heard a word from CSS.

Theres a lot of regular stuff, but in addition they add a flair from them. For example, at the night hot ordeurve time, it'll be a chef serving 2 separate little sample ramekins with something from like Boma or Sanaa. Stuff you wouldn't normally try, it's cool. The cheeses are unusual with weird cracker sticks and stuff included, African type wines, along with favorites like sugar cookies, oatmeal, cinn. buns, etc., (other times of the day)

We have ordered cakes several times and they were always delicious. Last summer we ordered a vegan cake because the birthday girl has a dairy allergy and the cake was absolutely delicious - we all ate it. It makes the birthday celebrations special. I agree that most desserts aren't that special at the CL lounges.

For our stay in Oct we requested a MK view and loved it! I will say that our room also had a view of the service area below which can mean you might hear a vehicle beeping while backing into the area. Have a magical stay.

Same for us on our stay last May. The service vehicles didn’t bother me.

We got a bit of a bonus...we were there the week HEA premiered (it actually premiered on our departure day, so I’ve never officially seen it). But they did tests at various times throughout the night leading up to the premiere, so I saw portions of HEA at times like 12:30 and 5:30 AM. (I wasn’t woken up by this...I only sleep a few hours at a time. My husband and son slept right through it.)

I assume you mean DSS, Disney Signatures Services.

DSS does not do room assignments but they can take your room requests in advance and note them on your reservation.

They can make dining reservations, book events, book cabanas, book tours, make FPs, etc, etc. Many things such as ADRs and FPs most people will just do themselves, but DSS can assist if needed.

While occasionally you hear stories where they’ve been able find someone an ADR that wasn’t otherwise available online, generally speaking they see the same availability that you do.

It’s not unusual to not hear from them. Some people do, some people don’t, with no apparent rationale.

Happy to answer any additional questions.

Given I haven't been to RPC, I don't think any dessert would be comparable to an actual birthday cake. Knock on wood, we've been very happy about the cakes that we've ordered from WDW. Josh at easywdw did a really good review of SL about 2 months ago, he took A TON of pics. I'm 95% sure they serve the same thing that RPC does.

The visual on this had me rolling!

This is what they had a couple of weeks ago according to my menu pics.

Every evening: assorted cheeses, dips and breads, veggies and dip, marinated olives

Monday: strawberry, arugula and goat cheese salad, crab stew, sweet corn pudding with Durban chicken, ham and cheese roll ups, BBQ meatballs, African cauliflower, cantelope and honeydew

Tuesday: butternut squash soup with duck confit, cous cous salad, seafood curry, uncrustables, eggplant salad, mini corn dogs

Wed: strawberry soup, duck confit with rice pilaf, fufu mac and cheese, ham and cheese roll ups, chicken tenders, watermelon, edamame and chick pea salad.

Hope that helps! If you're curious about other meal times please let me know.

Thank you! My DD is a very light and picky eater so I just wanted to make sure I wasn't going to have to find other food for her but this all sounds great and we'll definitely be trying new things.
