If time and transportation were sports we'd never make the playoffs; 2018 spr. break TR *new TR!*

I had my eyes closed the whole time and felt like I was going to vomit all over the place, so there's my feeling on the whole situation. Take me up in the air, throw me upside-down, whatever, but 9 out of 10 simulator rides will ruin me for the day.

UGH I can't do Star Tours either! First (and last) time I went on I remember closing my eyes and wishing it was over! I got off and rested with a frozen Coke! haha Glad you felt better by the time you left HS!

I thought the chocolate carousel was amazing when we stayed in November
I’m sorry I missed seeing the Easter display
Your pictures are so pretty thanks for taking them
Great family pic on the beach
I love ToT and that feeling of weightlessness
I feel the same way about Star Tours simulators bother my stomach too but nothing was as bad as HP Forbidden Journey :crazy2:
I had to shut my eyes as soon as it started felt nauseous the rest of the day
Can’t wait till August so you can report back on Toy Story Land

Wow, Chip is amazing!!

Well 3 of us did, Chris was already way, way way too hot and ready to go back to our room, so he sat over to the side on a wall :rotfl:In the park about 30 minutes and......he's done!

:rotfl: Whadda' guy!

I had my eyes closed the whole time and felt like I was going to vomit all over the place, so there's my feeling on the whole situation. Take me up in the air, throw me upside-down, whatever, but 9 out of 10 simulator rides will ruin me for the day.

100% with you there on simulators. Uggh. No way, no how. And I've never done ST for this reason, but I understand it's one of the worst for this.

Hi everyone! Well, it's April 15th and the temps finally rose above 50 yesterday here in NY. We didn't get excited though, because we're right back to the 40's today. And I saw the alert that Blizzard Beach is closed tomorrow due to cold temps, unbelievable!
Yeh, high of 56 For my area of GA in April is just uncalled for! I live in the South for a reason!

especially since we left home at 3:30 in the morning.

Get ready for the pictures to start!
Love them! Especially the villains!

I'm just bummed I have to wait until August for it!
We will be waiting until October!

I had my eyes closed the whole time and felt like I was going to vomit all over the place, so there's my feeling on the whole situation.
Yep...this is me. Just cannot do it. Simulators are almost always not for me. Soarin' I can do, and I will attempt FoP in the future but that's about it.

we were going back to WL to get a look at our CC studio!
I cannot wait to see those photos!

*sidenote, love the Minnie Vans.
So glad to hear this! I'm doing KTTK one day at 8am and do NOT want to be late... Minnie Van seems like the way to go :thumbsup2

Lovely family shot! :goodvibes

I had my eyes closed the whole time and felt like I was going to vomit all over the place
Yeah... this worries me. I haven't done this ride in over 10 years but am a major Star Wars fan so I feel like I need to again. I had a FP for it last trip but chickened out. Guess I'll just have to see how brave I'm feeling next month

Joining in. Looks like a good first day so far! (except for wanting to puke on Star Tours). I tolerate it, but it isn't my favorite either.

Well, we didn't have to worry about that! We left about 7 minutes after loading on to the bus - after standing in line for 30 minutes :faint: #transportationfail#1. Still didn't dampen our moods because it was the beginning of vacation which we all know is the BEST part of vacation!
Isn't it funny, it depends on where you want to be waiting. I am sure there are some people who would rather wait sitting on the bus.... I mean EVERYONE would perfer to not wait at all. But ME is "free".... So you have to take what you get. ME for us is kind of like the begining of the bubble for us. Strange I know...

*sidenote, love the Minnie Vans. This was our 4th time taking one. They are clean, quick, and every CM driver we've encountered is friendly and courteous. Great option when you need to get somewhere quick or somewhere you can't get directly to from where you are*

I love the blue egg! Do you know how long they keep them up after and before Easter?

Love these little villian ones...

Well 3 of us did, Chris was already way, way way too hot and ready to go back to our room, so he sat over to the side on a wall :rotfl:I
This is Morgan in the parks with the heat. She just wants to go back and swim. And basically why we can't really go in the summer.

our 3rd FP was at 5:10 for Star Tours, something none of us had ever ridden. WHAT?? I know!
I know you aren't Star Wars fans, but there are just so few rides these days.....

Our verdict? Probably won't be riding again. Ricky thought it would be different; he said he thought there'd be "more" to it.
I can see that he thought it would be more. I kind of feel that way about Soar'n after FOP. The game has been upped and it really pulls some of these rides down.

especially since we left home at 3:30 in the morning

So early! I bet y'all were so tired. The destination is defiantly worth it.

On our way out the boys stopped in the arcade because the Beach Club one is HUGE, and played a couple games

My brothers absolutely love the arcades. They always spend so much time AND money in the arcades

Our verdict? Probably won't be riding again.

I agree! It is defiantly lacking something.

Ah...what a great start. I'll have to check out your B&C dining report for sure. Really enjoy that place and must know if you got the kitchen sink!

Poor Chris being tired before you even start. I feel like my family was the same way this trip. Man we are so NOT in amusement park shape!

Yes the eggs at GF (and even some at Contemporary) were really amazing. I have a ton of those photos in my TR...couldn't help it.

Can't believe you've never done ST, but I admit that I'm usually the same way with simulators. I've gotten more tolerant of them as of late though. I don't know why.

Joining in on the fun!! Love, love, love the family pic on the beach at Beach Club but your boys have gotten so big. Ricky looks like he has really filled out and Chris is tall!! They grow up so fast (says the mother putting down deposits for university residence in the fall)! Love Beaches and Cream and think HS makes for a good first day park. It would have been ours for August too but now that we land on Tuesday Epcot has EMH until 11 so Epcot it will be. A definite yay that our dates still overlap! :) Where are you guys staying in August?

Can't wait to see the Copper Creek villas!

That Stitch Easter egg is WOW! Honorable mentions to Bambi, the Fab Five, and Chip.

I'm so excited about Toy Story Land :hyper:

I'm the exact same way on most motion simulator rides. Just :faint:. Although I can handle Star Tours just fine as long as I keep my eyes closed about 75% of the time. And Dramamine is my best friend!

I also can't do rides that have sheer drops. I went on Tower of Terror (Disneyland) once about 10 years ago. I had to take a seat as soon as we exited. And I was shaking for almost an hour afterward. I'm a weenie

UGH I can't do Star Tours either! First (and last) time I went on I remember closing my eyes and wishing it was over! I got off and rested with a frozen Coke! haha Glad you felt better by the time you left HS!
LOL I was thinking the same thing, "when will this END!!!" Luckily I was fine fast because there have been times I haven't been. Not risking it in the future! But I really don't think anyone else in the family will want to ride again anyway.

I thought the chocolate carousel was amazing when we stayed in November
LOVE their Christmas display as well! BC is one of the best resorts to visit during Christmas :santa:

Great family pic on the beach
:thanks:

I feel the same way about Star Tours simulators bother my stomach too but nothing was as bad as HP Forbidden Journey :crazy2:
OMG Forbidden Journey :crazy2: Another one I'll never go on again. Really I think that's tied with ST as far as being horrible!

Wow, Chip is amazing!!
Isn't he? They're all fantastic but a few stood out and Chip is one of them.

100% with you there on simulators. Uggh. No way, no how. And I've never done ST for this reason, but I understand it's one of the worst for this.
Definitely one of the worst, as I said above along with Forbidden Journey. And honestly I don't think you're missing much by not riding ST.

Soarin' I can do, and I will attempt FoP in the future but that's about it.
I think you'll be fine on FOP. I'm find on new Soarin', wasn't good on old Soarin', and am good on FoP. Although there's one quick part where I do have to close my eyes on FoP but that's it. Can't wait for you to ride it!

Those jelly beans! I’m in. :)
 Glad you're here! The entire displays were awesome!

So glad to hear this! I'm doing KTTK one day at 8am and do NOT want to be late... Minnie Van seems like the way to go :thumbsup2
I remember when we did KTTK we attempted taking an early bus from BC to MK-had the 8:00 tour also. Ended up taking a taxi so as not to be late! But normally buses start around 6:30 so you should be fine, but with the Minnie Van? No worries :simba: Maybe they'll hire me to do their Minnie Van advertising lol!

Lovely family shot! :goodvibes
:thanks:
Yep, I feel your pain. I can't do simulator rides either...Sadly, that's why I won't EVER be riding FOP. NOPE! Not me!
Oh man, now FoP is one I CAN do! I love it. I have to close my eyes in one part but it's so incredible, that sucks you can't try it! What about if you attempt it but keep your eyes closed if you have to? It's definitely not at all like Star Tours

All Caught up! Cant wait to read about the rest of your adventures!:flower1:
Hi Sofia, glad you're here! this one was definitely an interesting trip :)

Joining in.
:welcome: thanks for following!

Looks like a good first day so far! (except for wanting to puke on Star Tours). I tolerate it, but it isn't my favorite either.
Definitely a good day, even though we didn't last as long as we'd planned it was a great start :goodvibes

ME for us is kind of like the begining of the bubble for us. Strange I know...
I agree with you, I enjoy riding ME and feel like it's the start to our trips. One time Steve and I got a taxi instead and yeah, it was really great to be at our resort like 45 minutes after walking off the plane, but I honestly missed riding ME. I don't get that aggravated, I just get aggravated when Steve gets aggravated.............

I love the blue egg! Do you know how long they keep them up after and before Easter?
I'm not sure; I know they put them up like a day or two before we arrived which would have been the 22nd or 23rd, so just over a week before Easter. Since they stopped the Easter Egg Hunt in Epcot right after my guess is....maybe they leave the eggs up a week after the holiday at the most??

I know you aren't Star Wars fans, but there are just so few rides these days.....
Kind of why I didn't mind trying it, plus I hate having rides/attractions there I've never done! I figured it would kill two birds; get me on a "new to me" ride and give us something else to do in the park.

So early! I bet y'all were so tired.
You know, once you get down there the exhaustion goes away! And then it sets in again around late afternoon..............but we often take the early morning flights. I like having the whole day to do what we want for as long as we can until we're ready to call it a night. We've also taken early evening flights and gotten down there like 8pm and we aren't big fans of that. Steve and I are going down again May 5th and our flight from here leaves 7am. We're going from Newark so it means leaving home around 4am but we'll land at like, 9:40 :)

My brothers absolutely love the arcades. They always spend so much time AND money in the arcades
It used to bother me when the boys spent time in arcades because video games are something they can do at home! But they enjoy it, it gives them that break they need sometimes from the parks, so what the heck lol

Ah...what a great start. I'll have to check out your B&C dining report for sure. Really enjoy that place and must know if you got the kitchen sink!
Thanks, and I'm glad you're here! I can't wait to read your version of the days we were both there lol. I won't keep you in suspense-no kitchen sink since two of us didn't want ice cream :( One of these days though!

Yes the eggs at GF (and even some at Contemporary) were really amazing.
We never saw the ones at the Contemporary unfortunately, but besides the BC we did get to the GF and also saw one at the Yacht Club. One lone egg there lol.

Joining in on the fun!!
Yay, :welcome: thanks for coming by!

Love, love, love the family pic on the beach at Beach Club but your boys have gotten so big. Ricky looks like he has really filled out and Chris is tall!! They grow up so fast (says the mother putting down deposits for university residence in the fall)!
OMG it's going way too fast :sad1: I don't envy you getting ready to send yours off to college. We'll be doing college visits next year for Ricky and I can't even think about it.

A definite yay that our dates still overlap! :) Where are you guys staying in August?
I'm so excited! Right now we're at BLT but that may change; we're possibly taking Ricky's friend with us. If we do that we may do a split stay, still with some nights at BLT. Where are you?

That Stitch Easter egg is WOW! Honorable mentions to Bambi, the Fab Five, and Chip.
It was like as cool as one was, the next one was cooler!

I'm so excited about Toy Story Land :hyper:
So am I :goodvibes I think my boys are a little too old and won't thoroughly enjoy the new rides but I love anything new, and I'm hoping the whole land itself is done well. I also think the menu for Woody's Lunch Box has some interesting items on it although judging by the long thread over on the restaurant board, about 50% of people disagree with me

Glad you bounced back so quickly, and I can't wait to see your room! :woohoo:
LOVED.IT. In fact another studio at CCV just came up with my discount for our quick May trip and we considered switching, but since it was a last minute trip kind of sandwiched between to bigger (read: $$$) trips we decided to stay put. But we'll definitely go back at some point!

I really want to see those easter eggs, but I also don't want to deal with the crowds!
I don't blame you :scared1: I'm so glad we finally went for Easter as it was a time I'd never been there, and those eggs are great. But are they worth the crowds???? I think I know 3 males who would say no........................

The Slinky roller coaster looks like so much fun! I'm with you on the Woody's Lunch Box menu - the grilled three cheese, totchos, and grown-up lemonade have my name written ALL over them :cool2:
