I know our rooms at AKL went up about a month ago. Club Level went from $588 to $600/night. (Glad we reserved our room well before that!)

oh no I have been waiting on free dining... We check OUT on 8/20- am I disqualified... I am a Disney Visa card holder

The promotion is based on your check IN date.

Dining, whether free or paid goes by the number of nights at the resort not park tickets. When the promo drops there are 2 ways to get the free dining. On MDE click the modify button and change to the new promo or you can call and add the free dining. Either way works if the promo is still available when you get through. If you booked through a travel agent the agent can attempt to get the promo for you. Good luck and have fun. Did you book the dining plan with the Package you already have? If you used another discount you will lose that discount so make sure that the cost difference is worth free dining. And sometimes the room type you already have booked my not be available for free dining so you might have to upgrade your room. Is the difference between a standard room and a preferred room rate enough to warrant adding free dining and when figuring the costs don't forget to add the cost of the upgrade from quick service to full dining....really it is easy.

This is torture!!! I'm booking a trip for my sister-in-law and hoping to get FD, and I WANT TO COME!

I'm so wrapped up in the excitement and can't WAIT for our next trip. We're saving our 10 day tickets for Star Wars, but of course I can't even plan it, because we don't know when it will open. I suspect I'll be on the hunt for RO discounts, as FD will likely be a thing of the past.

Question - I have booked my SIL's trip for December on my account - if she calls for the bounce back, I assume it will only be available for her to book. Or would it be possible for her to book the room for me?

thinking I will check at Midnight. Then check again at 2-4-and 6....seems a bit obsessive but we aren't going if I don't get free dining. I'll just wait for Galaxy's Edge and maybe do a short Universal trip.

Anyone who is staying onsite can book a bounce back, so even if you are not the lead guest you can book BB. If you are not on the reservation and not physically onsite you will not be able to book a BB. You muct call while you are there to be eligible.

The Disney Visa dates are 8/2-8/19 so you should be OK as long as you check in between those times.

Do you know this for sure? I haven't seen it anywhere yet- but things are moving so quickly, I could easily have missed it!

I have a change reservation link on "My Reservations" but it doesn't work anymore. (I've tried in Safari and Chrome with no luck.) It just keeps reloading the My Reservations" page. I was able to use the change reservation link recently to upgrade my Summer Meal Offer to the DDP. Is there any reason to get this figured out before FD drops or am I good to just make a new reservation and cancel the old one after the fact?

Last year, a lot of people had the same thing happen when they made any change to their reservation. I don't think you have time for Disney IT to do anything about it, so just be ready to make a new reservation in the morning. IF what you do tomorrow isn't exactly what you want and your current one is exactly what you want, don't cancel the old one immediately. Give it time and see if the change reservation comes back or call in a couple days to see if you can get FD on your current and then cancel the new one.

We don't know these are the dates for Visa card holders YET. It is still rumor with nothing concrete. Please be careful posting this as fact; people are counting on information being accurate.

RIGHT NOW, we don't know when they will go live. One year it was as early as 3am EDT; other years it's been 4:30-ish or 5:30-ish. I think the important part is not to wait until 7am to call in. At that point, you could be on hold for over an hour.

I booked a bounce back last year and wasn’t even considering changing until I came here. You guys helped me so much a couple of years ago I came on to read all the excitement and now I want to switch resorts! This is the first year we’ll have 4 Disney adults and I’ve just found out that the deluxe resorts are in my price range! Does anyone have any suggestions on resorts? We’re thinking OKW or SSR for the same amount, WL for slightly more or AKL Kidani for a smidge more than that.

From CBR. We really liked it last year, but we were hoping construction of the main building would be finished by our trip and it’s not looking likely. We paid more for preferred last year so this years trip is actually cheaper but I think I can convince my husband to upgrade at a cost of what we were paying last year.
