WOW!A First-Timer!lol:)

The 15s really are something you don't see every day!lol

Have you experienced any of the really large groups(100 or more) as they march through the Parks with matching shirts and matching backpacks?

Sorry for your lack of sleep, but at least, you are now a member of "The 15s Kept Me Up Club"!lol

Do you still like your friend?lol:)
Haha. Yes I still like my friend but next time I’m pushing harder to stay elsewhere. And yes we experienced the 100+ wit matching backpacks, chanting & clapping & singing. We grabbed food and sat in a great spot for illuminations, and then the tour guide led a loooooong line of 15s right to where we and a couple other families were. They first sat all around us, but eventually my friend’s son had scooted far enough, due to being crowded and pushed as more and more pink backpacks arrived, that we finally decided to get up and move. To the opposite side of the lake sure I always watch anyway. It really is a shame that out of probably 100 in a group, 8-10 are loud and obnoxious. They all end up painted with the same brush.

Did you say PINK Backpacks?lol

WOW-you did have the TOTAL 15 experience!lol

I agree-most of them are really nice young ladies and all get the "blame" for the few(and also Brazil gets the "blame" for all of the groups even if the group is from Argentina,etc.!lol).

It is amazing how quickly they can surround other Guests and engulf them!lol

We are heading down today to celebrate my Birthday-I will tell The 15s you said HOLA!lol:)

I am in building 3. Lake view. Was super peaceful for 2 nights and then this. And re: whether it calmed down- I complained in pjs at the desk, he explained “tour groups, but we have extra security & they’ll check up plus keep checking for 30 minutes after.” Well I walked out. A group of guys were sitting outside the closed food court. As I walked, one came running behind me holding a cell phone. I stopped (someone running after me in dark doesn’t feel safe). He passed me by, then walked. Right to my building. Right to my stairwell. Ran up the stairs to the 3rd floor and started saying something to a goeup of people sitting in hallway. I went to second floor & started toward my room, turned and looked up & they were staring at me from catty corner 3rd floor. About an hour or so later, noisy again. I put my iPad on sleep machine app, turned it loud, & put it between my pillow & dd’s. Slept a few hours then it all started again at 6:50am.

Sorry so long, just wanted to be complete since it’s important to people. There are many groups at pop right now. Ask to be put where groups won’t be placed.

ETA that I’ve found a new owner for my leftover beverages. Feels good not to just waste it all!

That is so weird. I am first floor back of building 3 and haven’t heard a peep from your groups. Not a sound at all. We are on the very end closest to main building and building 4. How odd that our stays are so different. So sorry you are in the middle of them.

We returned home Thursday from our two week trip. We spent the first 5 nights of our trip at Pop. It was great as always! They met all of our room requests. In online check in I requested 60s section, top floor, and on my Touring Plans fax I added lake view with a tub if possible. That's exactly what we got and it was perfect. We were in building 5 room 5418. It was very quiet, we only once heard people walking by late at night. It was a connecting room which worried me but we didn't hear the neighbors much at all. It was much quieter than our room at BC. The bus service was great, one morning we went to MK and there were 3 of the large buses within 5 minutes of each other. The first couple of days of our stay the bus time feature on the app wasn't working, but once it started working it was awesome! The longest we waited coming back from a park was 15-20 minutes when we left Epcot and just missed the bus pulling out. We ate a lot of meals at the food court which were all good except one day, we ate around 3PM and the food had obviously been sitting out a while and wasn't fresh. The Hippy Dippy pool was VERY crowded, all day every day, so we used the Bowling Pin pool which was usually nearly empty. We got rained out from the pool every afternoon we were there, I didn't realize how convenient it was to be able to just walk around the building to look and see if the pools were open again until we got to the Beach Club part of our stay. Housekeeping did a great job also and our room was always serviced by the time we got back in the afternoons, around 2PM or so most days. The only "issue" we had at Pop was when we checked out. We called down to bell services twice and they never answered the phone, I figured they were having phone issues. We ended up finding a cart and taking our luggage down ourselves. When we got to the front there were 4 bell services CMs just standing around doing nothing. Not one of them offered to help us load our luggage. We didn't need it and didn't ask, but I found it odd they didn't even offer since they were clearly not busy. Anyway really not a major issue at all and we are looking forward to coming back! Honestly this trip I think we had a better overall experience at Pop than we had at BC and wished we had stayed more nights there. We have 1 night booked in August as part of a split stay and then we will be there a week with my parents for Thanksgiving!

First time staying at Pop. How does bus service compare to other resorts? Never stayed at a value before.

Bus service at Pop is excellent!! Some of the best in property! Lots of buses and very well organized into queues for each park. First arrive, first in rather that the format at some of the deluxe resorts. I’m not sure how buses are organized at moderate resorts.

The one downfall I must mention is that at the parks and Disney Springs, Poo’s bus stop is one of the furthest away so you’ll do some extra walking. A small trade off for an excellent resort!

Pop is a big resort and many people rely on buses to get around. I find the buses come more frequently at Pop than the mods and deluxe I’ve stayed at, but the buses can get more crowded. I don’t mind standing at all. I’d rather get to where I want to get to quickly. Pop buses have never let me down.

That’s my personal experience in multiple trips.

Hi guys. We arrive today at Pop for a birthday celebration! My daughter just received a text that her room was ready - 50's building.

Also, sigh, I requested the 90's building with a room close to my daughter's, and I paid preferred rooms. I booked both of our rooms in Oct/Nov, but two separate confirmation numbers because of the two rooms. Sadly, I haven't received my text about our room being done.

Because I'm about to walk out of the door here in Texas, can someone tell me if the 50's building is renovated? I don't have time to look through the posts...

I thought the majority of the rooms were finished so im no help there. I never get my requests at Pop i'm just unlucky I guess. I do know you can ask to be put into the pool for another room. You just have to call reservations.

Thanks for the various replies about buses. Last time we stayed at Caribbean Beach and it seemed like it took forever for buses to come, and often they were full - so you would have to wait for another.

All open rooms have been refurbished. Also, there are no preferred rooms in the 90's section, unless you mean you booked standard pool view? Those rooms are in 90's and 50's and cost a bit more than the regular standard rooms. You can always stop by the front desk when you arrive and see if they can get you closer together. Sometimes they can do that the next day if something isn't available right away.

Ah, we booked preferred rooms and I verbally requested the 90's so that must be why she's in the 50's -- because there are no preferred rooms. Thanks for your help!

I have found that when buses do fill up and there is still a line in the queue, there is almost always another bus that pulls up right behind the full bus. I’m always pleasantly surprised by how frequently the buses come.

Have you received your room assignment?

As others have mentioned, there aren’t any preferred rooms in the 90’s section (see map on pg 570) so you will not be placed there. Hopefully you will also be in the 50’s near your daughter.

All rooms at Pop are either refurbished or closed for refurbishment so you will get one of those rooms.

Have a great trip!!
