In re to chase pay, do I go to the app store to get it? I've never used it, but this seems like a great deal! My DH has cap and I do swagbucks, so seems like a great time to learn! Is it difficult to set up?

App Store. The Chase Pay app is seperate from the Chase app. Easy to set up- just open it and login in to your Chase account. You’ll probably need to verify so make sure you have access to the phone that’s on your account and the app will automatically walk you through verification. From there you go to pay, select the card you want and scan the code at payment time.

The hardest part is getting the rep to scan the code tbh! They’re generally a bit weirded out by it. Do NOT let them convince you to hold your phone near the reader. Some are very insistent that’s how Chase Pay works. They know nothing, that’s how Apple/Samsung Pay work ;) Just say “can we just try to scan the code please”.

Whoops! Sorry! It was new to me :).

Can you get gas points at your food store?
I get 3% back in card but get a lot of gas points from buying dis card there. Just make sure u don’t go over limit for food store. I can only get like 450$ at a time.
But total percent savings is like 8-10%

Yes, I do :thumbsup2! I also have the AMEX Blue card which gets me 6% back on "groceries" (purchases made at a grocery store). Last year I went to town buying Target gift cards (for 6% off on my AMEX) and then using then at Target's December 10% off Gift Card sale to buy more gift cards which I then used to buy Disney Gift Cards. I owned a hybrid car with an 12 gallon tank then so I "made" about another $20-$30 back in gas. Now the Target Cards -> Disney Cards is gone (RIP :littleangel:) and I own an electric hybrid with a 7-gallon gas tank so the fuel sayings is very minimal. In any case, I mentioned being able to buy the Disney eGift cards from Target while at WDW and being able to use them within a few hours to get even a small discount once I ran out of my more deeply discounted Disney Gift Cards. It's worth $10 for me to take a couple of minutes and buy another $200 of Disney Gift cards from my phone and have them delivered by email to use while I'm already there.

Thanks! I'll have to get DH's login info, I can never seem to remember it. I will feel so high tech :thumbsup2

Just curious real quick...you can still get 5% off of Disney gift card with your redcard at Target right? Wanted to be sure before I go to Target tonight

That's better then.....I was going to purchase online gc with my discounted walmart gc but now I'll just go in store!

Out of curiosity, by electric hybrid, do you mean, plug-in electric hybrid?

My car, too, has a 12-gallon tank, which generally means I fill up about 9-10 gallons when I feel I'm almost empty. I crunched the numbers and found out if I bought a 5-gallon gas can, it would pay more than pay for itself with 2 fill-ups of price-reduced gas. Topping off my tank was kinda slow and a little bit of a pain with the extra gas once I had driven enough to fit the rest in, but I kept myself from getting annoyed by thinking about the money I was saving while I waited for it to empty.

However, if you have a PHEV and you mostly take short trips, you may burn gas so slowly, it's not worth the effort.

I will point out I believe you can also purchase Disney egift cards online, without having to go directly into the Target store. They should show up in your account after a few hours, and you still get the 5% off if you use your Red Card! I can't remember the specifics, but someone else might be able to chime in on how to actually buy them.

I think the easiest way to buy them is at Sam's Club; 5% back through Dosh and 2% if you have the Citi Double Cash (5% if you have the Chase Freedom and this is still going on into October!). The gift cards are already discounted ~5%, so you're looking at around 12% off full value. I happen to be a DVC member as well, so I like using this method to pay for annual dues :)

I have a PHEV and finally broke down this week and bought a gas can. My husband and son have first priority on the gas rewards since they both drive an SUV, and although they go together, I am constantly being left out, because of location logistics. Now when they go and put in their 30 gals, there will be enough left to fill the can, and keep me going for another week.

I have a Honda Clarity and all my local driving is electric. I only fill the tank when I drive to Chicago for a Cubs game. So no, not worth it :(.

I think I'm going to deposit 475 and buy $500 worth of gift cards tonight. We'll save $25 which means we'll FINALLY be under the 1 grand left to be saved point! Then I get to pay 500 on our package O.O

Can you wait until the 16th? I just saw on a Facebook post that on Sunday you can get 10% off with your redcard for one whole transaction, with a coupon in the app! http://www.allthingstarget.com/target-redcard-10-off-coupon/

It works for "entertainment" gift cards, which is what the Disney gift cards are categorized as. Hopefully someone finds outs on Sunday and reports back.

Target has closed all the gift card loopholes. The entertainment gift card distinction is no longer relevant.
