ROFL! :rotfl2: I don’t mean to laugh at your misfortune (I’m really sorry you have to deal with this), but I couldn’t help but ROFL at how true this is.

P.S. And I’m loving the new avatar! Your baby’s so big!
I know - of all things to put in the memo line! I went to the bank to close out the account and they told me that another $5000 was attempted today but they were able to block it immediately. Fortunately since they caught everything so quickly the money will be put back in my new account tomorrow.

And thank you - since the "baby" is now almost 6 it was time for an update!

:offtopic: sorry to go OT but I know what show you've been watching....:sunny: what I like about her show vs all the other 'clean out your house' shows is she doesn't insist on perfect magazine outcomes with a million dollars worth of storage added to the home, just a way to decide what matters to you and keep things 'tidy'...even if it's 9 of those cushions!:rotfl2: I've been obsessively refolding all the clothes and towels in my house this week.... I'm a huge fan!
I wonder if I have my towels folded properly. The few times DH has helped, I have had to re-fold them since they weren’t right in my mind. All of our closets and drawers look like beautifully sorted rainbows.

Behind in reading, as usual most days. I'll just post now and keep trying to catch up.

:laughing::lmao::laughing::lmao:

Which did you decide? I thought CCF had better food, but it's a bit out of the way for us.

How awful! I am glad your bank caught this before it went any further. Very scary.
PF Changs, Shake Shack and CCF are all at the same location. I decided to stick with my original plan of dinner at PF Chang’s and dessert at CCF with DS. I ended up at Smashburger to try some place new. Needless to say, I will not be back. Super pricey for what was basically McDs or even lower quality. The fries weren’t even hot when they came out.

We actually didn’t have hardly any expired food. Maybe a couple of boxes of mashed potatoes I think. We don’t really eat potatoes at all. Dh always gets irritated at my parent’s house though because they keep so much expired stuff. My mom always says “it’s still good for awhile”.
Ugh my mom does the same! Even with super old produce that has clearly seen better days. It wigs me out when she tries to use a tomato that’s so old it’s squishy in the salad. Yuck!

Don't forget the CIC's 0% introductory APR.
Holy cow, how did I miss this??!! My CIP MSR is going to pay for registration in the kids school and Im going to have to carry the balance for a month or two (first time registering 3 kids). I have to think of the 80K UR and that’s it.

I'm honestly thinking about keeping my Marriott biz when the AF hits later this month as a result of these changes. It seems like AF will not increase from that. I'll probably go ahead and hold onto my SPG Biz too since AF will not hit until August from that, and it looks like based on this that I won't get the increased AF until at least next August? Either way, I'll cancel when the $125 starts. I figure I can always use two free nights at Marriott regardless, so it won't be the end of the world to pay the AF.

Ah poop, I may have goofed up my calculations. I'm not used to having an AF card with AmEx, been almost 10 years since my last one :p
So Gary from VftW wrote it out this way, which I think is correct based on how they've been doing the charge card changes lately - "The card’s annual fee will increase from $95 to $125 starting with new accounts and renewals from March 28, 2019. " I think from the TPG article, when you sign up for the card the agreement says "$0 AF first year, $95 AF after" or something like that so it's in the terms what you get for those two years and they can't change it until year 3. For the rest of us it may depend on when our AF hits.

So now I'm in a pickle, my anniversary is 3/5, I think my statement closes around 3/20, will my AF be on that statement and I'll make it this year? Or is it the statement after that and I'm screwed? I'm always confused by people saying the 13th AmEx statement.

ETA: Oh well, since it was my first year last year, then I should be held to those terms too. So I think that's why I was thinking I was safe before. Hm, now to go verify the agreement. Others might be screwed though :(

How long after meeting the requirements for PNC does the bonus show up?
1-6 weeks. Maybe longer. I waited about a month last time. PNC batch posts so when you see a bunch of DPs rolling in on the r/churning bank bonus thread yours should have posted as well if you met the reqs a couple weeks prior to that day.

:scared1:

DH and I sometimes have arguments about things. Like some things I will use for a little bit past the date, like dry pantry items or cream (go by smell/visual). He's like, oh no there's a little liquid on top of the sour cream! Uh, stir that back in you're fine. I won't use canned stuff, I just can't. And I swear that the milk turns sour at midnight :rotfl:

But MIL has been driving me a bit batty lately keeping all this random stuff in the pantry. We had a bad run in the fall of mice getting into the pantry due to their remodel. So we'd clean it out, pitch anything that was chewed on or peed on, wipe what we were keeping down with bleach... seriously like 6 times over 3 weeks until we got rid of the darn things. Until DH and I said enough is enough (because we were always the ones to find the evidence, and MIL would be like I'm tired, maybe tomorrow... no!) and got a couple tubs to put the food in until the mice were gone. But every time putting things back... We have to keep the single can of tuna that is now expired, even though no one eats tuna. And the 9 cans of some lentil soup, which she bought a 10 pack at Costco for FIL but he didn't like it... they're now like 2 years past the date. Also a Costco box of Pumpkin Spice baking mix... which she's not a huge pumpkin fan so idk why she got it? Also expired by 2+ years at this point... I will use something like that for maybe a few months past, after that I pitch it because I don't want to open it and find the little worms. Old boxes of some strange cereal no one will eat. But this stuff probably takes up half a shelf when all is said and done, but we can't get rid of it :confused3

I got a job!!!!!!!!!!!! Still doing the same thing, nothing new and more likeable, but it's the exact same pay and I get to work from home still!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:dogdance::dogdance: party: :dogdance::dogdance:

I work from home and could not even IMAGINE having to change that. So happy for you!

My daughters thought I was a king when we checked in at a Doubletree by Hilton one time. They were so over the top with the passionate “thank you for honoring us with your presence mr gold elite”
Nice to know your children are allowed to call you KING, and not Benevolent Dictator.
:rotfl2: :worship: :rotfl2:

oh my. I am scared one of us will end up with this problem.

You never know..we've been to CO several times and I never have a problem with the altitude but DH ALWAYS does! And you know how it is to deal with a man who's ill (no offense to those here). Anyway you might all be fine or you might not. I make my kids drink lots of water the few days before we go and while we are there and they have never had a problem.

Anyone here going to DLR this spring? FYI a little TA birdie told me the refurb schedule updated at Disneyland and it's now showing Fantasmic returning "early March". Sailing Ship Columbia is still TBD. Things can always change but I think there's hope 1 normal show might be running for those of us going this Spring [yes, I'm aware this belongs on the DLR board and prob not in here but I don't feel like being virtually assaulted by the refurb angry mobs hanging out there right now if DLR doesn't keep to this new schedule- but y'all aren't like that around here so I wanted my friends here to know what I know :) ]

How do you plan on saving on the Grand Californian stay? I’ve been planning our Thanksgiving trip to Disneyland, which for the past two years we booked the Disneyland Hotel using UR points. With that option out, I planned to pay for it using discounted Disney GCs, but Disney won’t take Disney GCs as payment on a deposit for a room-only reservation.
Not sure if DLR is different than WDW, but I just put down a deposit using a DGC on my room only stay for April.

EDIT: Okay, looks like this was already answered.

My parents have stuff in the fridge that is so gross. They don’t do that with produce but their bread goes moldy all the time

That is awesome! Congrats!
I am afraid of this too, if we ever go somewhere. Between my motion sickness and vertigo, I think this would surely happen to me.
