Disney Gift Card Deals

I don't see a Disney Visa card deal. Was it the same deal? Wonder if it was just yesterday.

I also see that RMN has the $2 back on $30 for Target back. I tried this last time just buying the $50 Disney gift card (no filler) and it did not credit. Did it work for anyone else?
If you buy a $50 dgc at Target but only get $2 back, it's a better deal to just use your Red Card and get 5% automatically.

@LaDonna there are several offers available right now. Not sure where you live so I'll just post what I know of.

I'm not sure you can apply your Military discount on GC's purchased at Lowe's - it's plausible. Anyone know for sure, please chime in. NOT ALLOWED

RMN - I still believe those Cash Back deals are YMMV so be careful with those. ;)
And no, you cannot combine your Disney Visa to get 10% cash back at shopdisney through RMN. This credit card will list your transaction as a GC purchase.

RE: Chase Freedom those will become avail in April. Right now Discover is 5% at grocery stores.

The 3 x $50 packs at Sams are not available on line today. The $75 card is, however, the Sam’s price is getting such the value is diminishing.

@LaDonna and @FoxC63 The Amex offer is 10% back up to $100 in statement credits. Anyone...feel free to critique my math. Using $100 as an example...

-Buy $100 Kroger gc at Lowe’s, get $10 back (should be $11 back if you count the bonus category, depending on which card you use)
-Use to buy $100 Visa gc at Kroger - add $5.95 fee, but subtract $14 in fuel points
-Buy $100 Disney gc at Best Buy with Visa gc using Swagbucks, get back 750 sb bonus plus 200 sb Shop and Earn (minimum)

=$72.45 for $100 Disney gift card, or about 27.5%. 28.5% if you count that extra 1% on the Amex bonus category

Does that sound right?

Looks good to me, noting for others this is maxing the 35gal fuel limit :)

Can you all help me I’ve tried to go back several pages but I can’t find the original post for things.....im seeing you all talking about rmt and some kind of disney visa deal? And there was something about Lowe’s( my husband gets a military discount there so I’m not sure if that’s what others are talking about I didn’t know if it was good for gift card s) and then going to Kroger‘s but I can’t find the original post saying exactly how to do this? I do have a Disney visa and the Chase freedom grocery stores are going to get 5% back April May and June. I have a target card too so I guess I get 5% off there, but will utilize the other stores if I can work it out to be a bigger percentage off
Thanks for any help

Military discount at Lowes does not work on gift cards.

Boy oh boy, sure wish I had that Am. Ex card that offered this!!!! Big savings there imho! Thanks for pointing the 10% to $100. I wasn't sure on that. Will correct my post to prevent further confusion. :thumbsup2

Can anyone remind me what the max amount is of Disney gift cards per day you can purchase at Target with the Target card? Thanks!

Also, is there a difference in the limit if you do e-gift cards? I just bought $1000. Has anyone had any difficulty using e-gift cards or having them cancelled or anything?

Has anyone tried buying a third party gift card with a gift card at Old Navy? I also have Banana Republic offer from Wells Fargo and would like to buy a gift card from there and use at Old Navy to buy a Best Buy gift card.

Others have reported it working for gift cards. I'm trying it for the first time, but yes, it's a gamble.

It credited for me last time!

Thanks, I am giving it a try. At least I’ll have some pretty new gift cards either way!

I took the gamble! It was a risk but I said the same thing, if it doesn't work at least I'll have fun gift cards that I can't buy in stores. We should get an email saying that the purchase was confirmed if it does work, right?

The Target RMN deal didn't work for me. I used it twice. Once for strictly GCs and once for legitimate products.

You can contact RMN, and they will credit your account manually. You will need to provide transaction information, so don't bother for the GC purchase, but for the legit purchase, it's worth reaching out.

Keep in mind that RMN has 45 days to credit, so they both MIGHT still go through on their own, depending on when Target shares the info with RMN.

Also, RMN might want you to wait the 45 days before they'll do the manual credit. This is what I was told via online customer chat when my Amazon purchase didn't track. As I bought shoes for my kid and no GCs, it's worth waiting a few weeks to get my $10 back.

I've also used the Target deal 3x on real merchandise (no GC) and it has not even went pending. IDK if I should press my luck because I've had multiple GC only transactions post from other stores totaling more than $6.

I'm not sure that you can use both your welcome reward and your birthday reward at the same time. I had wanted to do that last year and wasn't able to. May want to read the rules on that one. :)

I think per the rules it's not allowed, but I didn't try since we didn't sign up close to a birthday.

I tried at Rainforest Cafe AK as some people had been able to use birthday and a welcome reward in the past at the same time and it was not allowed.

@PolyRob I have to agree

I signed up for Landry's Select after being frustrated about my Yak & Yeti wait with only an ADR. My birthday actually falls around my trip so I figured I would just break even dining at Yak & Yeti with a shorter wait. After researching on the boards, Landry's used to let you combine the rewards, but people lied about their date of birth just to combine rewards so that stopped. I also learned you can use the birthday reward on merchandise at Rainforest Cafe. That was my plan to not let the second $25 just go to waste since birthday rewards expire on the 15th of the month after your birthday and the welcome reward which does not expire must be used first.

I changed plans a week or two ago to now include Blue Man Group in CityWalk and instantly chose Bubba Gump for dinner that night.

I will use the welcome reward at Yak & Yeti since it falls first in my trip and my birthday reward at Bubba Gump.

I've used my AP discount at Yak & Yeti and I did not think I could use a Landry's GC combined with the WDW AP discount. I charged back to the room and used a discounted Disney GC. Since this was the case, I was inquiring if I could use a discounted Landry's GC with a reward at each restaurant. I am sure its fine, but I don't want to try it out without knowing 100% because I do not want to be stuck with Landry's GCs since I don't really eat at Landry's locations when I am home.

For those of you that have purchased a Disney e-gift card online, did it take a while for you to get email for it? My card has definitely been charged and I’m still waiting for that confirmation email....... I purchased early this morning

From ShopDisney direct? I've had one delivered in 20 minutes (2 weeks ago) and another in 3 hours (last night). The website claims it can take up to 24-hours.

Thanks, @PolyRob. I’ve been getting a little nervous but I will wait the 24 hours and if I haven’t gotten by then, give them a call

I will say when I hosted the 2018 Halloween Party and Gift Card Giveaway ShopDisney would not release my purchased gift cards until I spoke to them. :confused3 I wasn't expecting that at all neither did the winners. Stupid. I had to contact all of them explain the situation. I got a call on a Friday night, returned the call and low and behold "You need to call during business hours" Real Stupid! Everyone who won $ had to wait until Monday to get the gift cards. Just stupid.

I was not happy. @Livelovedance and @ksromack are just a few who were affected. When I reached Disney on Monday, they told me it was due to security reasons :confused3 I signed into my ShopDisney account the same one I've had for years, used my Disney Visa to pay for all the e-gift cards, what was the issue?! Stupid!!! They were charged to my account so why hold them? My Disney Visa had no "fraud alert" it was all ShopDisney bs!
