Well I don’t think the Skyliner will be running this week.

Apparently AoA/Pop and DHS lines are still running while Epcot is getting evacuated.

Crazy that there is a system failure less than 1 week after it opened to the general public.

People stuck for hours is a huge system failure. The news picked up the story. I think they will readdress the whole training and system.

I definitely agree! I don't think I will see the system running when I am down there next month. I just can't believe Disney did not stop guests from lining up and boarding the other lines while guests were suspended on the Epcot one.

I was in Epcot for the fireworks tonight and they didn't warn the crowds that the Skyliner was down until they had exited the park. Most of the crowd walked to Boardwalk but some of them came to the Beach Club to catch a bus or call an Uber. I guess they are evacuating the people on the Epcot line.

I read reports that guests stuck on the Skyliner are being instructed to pull out the emergency supply kit, which includes, among other items, a notepad. Now we know what happened to the notepads that are no longer being provided in the guest rooms.

Seriously, though, I hope everyone is okay. There are reports of some people being evacuated on stretchers. This is the second evacuation within the past couple of weeks.

We made two separate journeys on it last week and i commented to my bf that they swing into the station’s at a really high speed then seem to rely on emergency brakes. It didn’t feel particularly safe at that end point to me and on the second trip I closed my eyes at that point.

We have lotion in our room at the Beach Club this week. I guess Disney heard a lot of complaints about the lotion from plenty of resorts guests at all of the resorts.

I posted last week that I complained to a manager about it, and he came to our room and said they had reinstated it because they “hadn’t been aware how much guests liked it”!!

Does anyone know if the Marketplace sells Lysol spray and liquid hand soap?
I usually check a bag and pack these items but this is a shorter trip and we are only carrying on...

I checked my photos but I didn't look for cleaning supplies or soap when I was taking pictures, so I'm no help.

I suspect that our devoted moderator of this wonderful thread who happens to be at the resort this weekend will post copious pictures of the amenities in the room (or pictures noting the lack of amenities). Either way, I'm glad to hear they are listening to those comments that guests are making and are taking appropriate action.

Page 2 rescue!

I had a busy day Friday, but was online enough to see new discounts were released. I was debating Disneyland or WDW for late April/ early May but for the heck of it, I checked the new discounts. Saw a nice AP rate for YC & thought I’d book it quick while it was there. Figured I’d cancel later after talking with DH. We just did Easter this year, our first time at Disney over a major holiday. I didn’t think we’d be up for doing it again so soon. Turns out DH liked being there for Easter & was all about it!

Of course, I missed Southwest’s release for the trip down, so we’ll be paying a lot for plane tickets. But I’ll be stalking for the return trip as soon as those dates are open.

I checked the Beach Club Marketplace tonight and saw Lysol and hand sanitizer but not liquid hand soap. But there is body wash in the resort bathroom.




shampoo, conditioner, body wash, bar soap


lotion, mouthwash, shower cap, vanity kit which contains cotton swabs and pads, facial soap

I don’t care if it’s Disney Springs or wherever, a deluxe resort sharing buses with 4 other resorts is NOT okay. 5 resort stops just isn’t okay. I think my love for Beach & Yacht is waning.

At the very least if I’m being forced into packed buses because of the 5 stops, they should run more frequently. I’ve been standing waiting at DS more than 20 min now
